Thanks for the review! have you tried the 16S version? I'm on the fence for 13S vs 16S.

It’s on the list to test! The 16 will def be more plush with more dwell time. And my code will work with that one as well-just in case you pull the trigger!

I wish more companies like Vatic had a cheaper than $150+ standard shape paddle

Check out my review of Honolulu's J3. It's standard shape and is $130 after promo code MATTHEWK. It plays a lot differently than the MUVN-13S, but it's also a ton of fun and might be a better fit for your budget!

@@MatthewKPickleball that swing weight looks unappetizing Haha, also wish it was a 14mm

The swing weight for the J3 or 13S? Just curious! Lmk what you’re looking for, and I’ll keep my eye out!

@@zeruth467 Hmm. If 117 is too much, maybe look at the Volair Mach 2 Forza (14mm). Pickleball Effect lists its swing weight at 110. Or the CRBN 2x (14mm), which PE has listed at 105. Promo code MATTHEWK should work for those as well. I'll be reviewing those paddles soonish! And I'll keep my eyes peeled for a cheaper standard at your price point. You could look at my review of A11N's standard thermoformed as well. I don't have its swing weight, but I think it's going to be on the lower side. It is 16mm, though, but that thing is super cheap with the MATTHEWK discount code. Hope that helps!

How is the resetting and dinking with this paddle? If it has a lot of pop wouldn’t dinks and resets suffer?

It does have a lot of pop, but I personally didn’t struggle with resets. As for dink, it’s got a lot of pop, but its surface really grabs the ball, so you can add spin and direct the ball how you want IMO. I’m not a fan of paddles that you can’t control. I felt the 13s was very controllable-that’s why I think it’s so unique. It really surprised me.
