This meditation is pretty intense, but if it feels relative to you, please trust that it will carry you and lead you in the right direction. I cried a lot when I first did this Meditation - allow yourself to feel whatever comes up for you, no judgement, no pushing things away. Trust yourself and your healing journey!
I've never done this before on my channel (eep!) but have felt called to share meditations from the book I'm currently reading called "Healing Into Life and Death" by Stephen Levine 😊 Everyone can benefit from this meditation, not just those who have lost someone ↓
Everyone has grief -- it's not only just from losing a loved one. Everyone seems to have some unbalanced tally sheet with life, some unfinished business. An incompleteness with the past and with ourselves, a fatiguing self-consciousness. Our grief manifests as a self-judgement, as fear, as guilt, as anger and blame. Our grief is our fear of loss, our fear of the unknown, our fear of death. Grief is the rope burns left behind when what we have held to most dearly is pulled out of reach, beyond our grasp. As we begin to direct the energy of forgiveness to ourselves and others, grief is workable. Opening the heart to the mind's pain, we fine space to explore mercifully. Then, instead of constantly appraising what looks back, we observe, we begin to look directly at what looks. We watch the watcher.
- Stephen Levine

This was pretty powerful. Thank you very much. I lost my sister last week and was looking for ways to handle grief (and related feelings of guilt, regret, uncertainty and all) and bumped into this. Had my crying instantly. That spot is indeed something...

I didn't even know I needed that. It almost felt like a movie, when every memory rushes into thought just before someone dies. Breathing and crying felt so good..

I hope to not sound corny or anything but Thank you ❤️ I needed this more than I thought I did. I cried then felt so happily lifted and warm. It didn't even feel like ten minutes..time flew by so fast.

That was so intense. I cried my eyes out during this meditation and it was a really sensitive spot for me, that grief spot. It hurt and made me feel sick. This was so... magical, almost. So much stuff just came up all at once and it was so relieving to let it all in and just cry. Thank you❤

I was gonna click off but my intuition told me to stay and I'm so glad I did. That was such an amazingly intensely experience. I've never felt that in my life. I burst out in tears and my whole body was tingling in heat. And the aching in my heart was intense but subsided with the breaths I can still feel that spot. I didnt even know that was there. Thank you because soul love and light to you.

Thx for sharing this. It got to me and made me cry a little and when it did, the pressure point felt less painful. I had to try and find it again in case I’d moved but it was just less painful. Thx. I saw your comment about your anxiety made you read it quite fast, thx for sharing that emotion. Hope you’re less anxious these days. X

Before watching this video, I was shook by a instrumental version of a song that an old flame would sing to me. I took a hard turn down a dark road in my mind. Having trouble restoring positivity, I turned to RU-vid. This video was a beam of light leading me out of a dark place right when I needed it. The opportunity to safely look at all my grief at once and move through it is greatly appreciated. Also, that view is spectacular. 👊🏾❤😊✌🏿

Damn. I can see how that could have been very powerful... but I would've gotten so much more out of it if you hadn't galloped through it so fast. Your speed reading made it difficult to even take in what you were saying, let alone concentrate on any of the ideas. It made me really anxious and like I just couldn't keep up. 😟 thank you for sharing, though; I guess I can think of it as a book recommendation.
