In the actual Halo universe the most powerful weapon the UNSC has is the NOVA bomb which is capable of shattering a planet and heavily damaging it's moon. These weapons are so powerful and rare they have only been used once that we know of(although it was requested or mentioned other times like during the events of Halo 2). Destroying an entire solar system is waaaaay out of the question. Thats neither UNSC or Covenant tier power, thats Forerunner tier. It's absurd.

They dont understand science, military or how to do action. They don't even know how to build tension and suspense. Not only is it boring, it's full of dumb decisions, that makes it so much worse.

Actually the only decent action is in some of master chiefs fights, the rest is not good.

i wouldn't be here to say this when conservatives don't believe in science from beginning . Why care when its just quality show to watch for massive audience is not only this country...around the world

I'm not, I stopped 5 mins into ep1 season 1. It was obvious this travesty has nothing to do with halo's lore.. it should be called "Qwan a spurton story"

@@taiterz1046 Did a little tiny bit better than you - actually finished the first episode but have had no desire to visit the series since. I mean, their version of Master Chief is this emotional confused and bewildered soldier who always seem to be on the verge of crying. I was hoping someone would retcon this for season 2 and say that the Master Chief we saw was something they created in the lab because the real one has been missing for a long time and because most people alive don't really know how he looks like, they used this clown as a replacement for morale and control. This way we can even boot the actor and replace him with someone much better.

The fact that she is any form of Spartan makes little sense. None of these elite Spartans seem elite at all.

@@FlamboyanToPossuM No I was just wondering if ODST exist in this universe in general but about the life's work line makes since if he were talking about Kessler and the other abducted kids or if it were a project he started years ago with collecting children orphaned by the covenant like they did originally with the Spartan 3s in the books then that line makes since.

How are they not focussing on the ring tho, they are literally getting there in the season finally... And dont give me that bullshit with saying it took too long, you need to build that shit up. If you want straight on action, go play the games. A tv show is meant for a deeper dive into someones mentality or whatever, show's good. I love seeing these hate comments knowing the show is doing great. :)

​@@gekkehenk1673you shouldn't spend 2 seasons getting to halo. The pacing is so bad. You shouldn't have over half the season with master chief with no armor. You could easily condense the show to have the fall of reach happen in season 1. spend more time developing the arbiter. Atleast when hes on screen it feels like im watching halo instead of a space drama. This show has glimmers of good, but theres so much filler. And not even action wise. There could've been so much interesting world building, but instead we get lame quests to find a kid

@@boardwalk2003 Well, season 1 was a different writers-team that fucked it up already in the first place. The new team needed to fix a lot of shit and they didnt continue with that storyline and just went straight to the fall of reach. They saw the feedback, and changed it immediatly. Its not their fault that other people fucked up the season before. And nahhh, the filler isnt even that bad bro. People are just mad nowadays that they cant know the entire plot after the first 2/3 episodes. The more you watch, the more of the story and arcs come together and tbh, after the latest episode, its getting pretty fucking good. If you have Chief in the armor in a tv series, that indicates that there will be action every single time. Thats not happening in a tv series. What do you think that will do to the budget? Theres no budget for continuous action, not even a show like Game of Thrones had action every single episode. Thats never ever gonna happen. A tv show is made for a deep dive in someones thought proces, way of life, mentality etc. And lets be honest, if a soldier is in the barracks or station waiting for a new mission or mission briefing whatever, theres no way in hell they will just be sitting there in a complete suit or armor, come on dude.. That makes no sense. I know its not really halo, but that makes no sense. Some stuff just doesnt work for tv, so if you want constant action, go play the games.

No dude, you’re doing it wrong you gotta make a case for the show being good you cant just mention me hating on it as a defense. You gotta tell people why Ackerson’s 360 flip made sense or how the ONI plan was brilliant and the weird love story between Jimmy and Makee is great (he should not have any feelings for someone who thinks humanity having control of Halo is bad versus the covenant, he even potentially saved her life again by warning her about elites sneaking up on her). Also, Ive never read the books but a couple Halo friends I know who are more crazy about Halo than me say its nothing like what they did here. Im afraid to read like Contact Harvest or Fall of Reach because it might make me more annoyed. Im just saying, if the show was good Id make videos about how good it was and how happy I am that Halo is in good hands but, sadly this isn’t the good timeline :(

@williamhenson2929 lol you are very misinformed. The augmentations that the Spartan 3s received were comparable to the Spartan 2s. In fact I think they are stronger. Alpha company's attack on the the covenant refinery showed us that the 12 year old spartan 3s were over powering/ snapping the wrists of elites without the help of Mjolnir armor strength boost. Their training did not include higher learning with Deja, their training was more combat oriented/ team work in a military setting not some weird lord of the Flys crap.

Not true go back and watch you can clearly see them heading in the direction they arrived at. the wife even said it in this episode and Ackerson does care remember his sister was in the spartan program he didn’t want what happened to her to happen to his Spartans.

But the question is do the people making the show know that? What if the flood isnt even a parasite in this show? What if the gravemind is a humanoid figure? That is why I chose to entertain the idea that it’s not the flood because I expect that to happen and this show has taught me to not expect what makes sense to actually happen. We’ll find out next episode (maybe?)

You can ignore the rest: If you are dealing with a potential pathogen, shouldn't there be protocols for entering and leaving the lab so there isn't an outbreak? So baffling I thought maybe the woman was intentionally trying to cause the outbreak. Why is it that everyone gets infected so easily by the spores yet Miranda is perfectly fine despite being in close contact with patient 0? Why is it that in Episode 7, it seemed like the covenant fleet could easily handle the UNSC fleet but Kai crashing a ship into the covenant main flagship (which showed up later IIRC) turned the tide of the battle and Parangosky no longer views this as a suicide mission? How is it that there is a flood outbreak going on yet people are so unaware? You had a scientist stab someone in the neck and people freeze up. No alarm for potential epidemic? How about how master chief is going to retrieve Cortana and Parangosky is telling him to go to halo instead... but the ship is heading toward halo anyway so does it matter? Actually... how fast is Master Chief traveling? how far away was the Halo ring from the battle? Was he going through space at mach 100? How the hell did Kwan not get infected? What does the random old lady from episode 1, who got glassed, have anything to do with this? How is she able to stop the flood? Plot armor much? Why is Dr. Halsey (before she freezes up) so enthusiastic about the parasites potential, when she clearly saw first hand what it could do? How did Corporal Perez get out of the field of battle (this is before kai "turned the tides") without getting annihilated? Honestly, the only character who was ok was Akerson because he at least if we set the bar low he showed some sort of character arc

@@Metaphysicist Yeah, There's cosmic elements into Halo's deeper lore, or mystical stuff regarding the forerunners and Precursors, but the overall genre is done as a military sci fi, and everything regarding the UNSC and Halo always has some science woven into it. The way they did this is more space opera than even Mass Effect.

@@Metaphysicist i'll agree it's trying to be, but it's failing at even that. It's also trying to be a discount The Expanse too with the whole Kwan and Soren storylines. That Pirate colony is like a Belter station in The Expanse and UNSC is an incompetent UN Earth.

Season one we hear the line commander shepherd report to the Skillian response center. Miranda Keys, acts ME1 Liara as well as Possessing Her skill set xenoarchaeology; She even looks kinda like a human liara. Kessler's Pirate base It's an old asteroid mine just like omega. His wife is liberally Liara. The story starts with one of humanity's most gifted soldiers finding an alien arti fact which burns visions into his mind. No one in the government takes these visions seriously until it's too late. His mentor figure is an older heavy set Black man who commands the ship. All hero constantly goes on detours.You.You could call them sidequest.

I've been saying this for awhile. Cancel this shit, give the rights to someone who gives a shit about the source material. And make a good action packed, accurate soundtrack, accurate show based off the first 3 original games. Each halo game being a season using real actors but not live action, Blur Cutscene technology

Thel 'Vadam doesn't exist in the Silver Timeline. The "Arbiter" you see onscreen is called Var 'Gatanai, or, apparently, Varo Gat'anai, since they murdered the Sangheili language in the TV show and made it sound exactly like Dothraki from Game of Thrones. Var 'Gatanai doesn't even have the "-ee" suffix that Sangheili serving in the Covenant should have at the ends of their last names.

@@ArgentWolf95 They hired the guy who made up Dothraki for Game of Thrones to work on Sangheili, even though the Sangheili language was already considerably fleshed out in the games, the books, hell, Halo 4: Spartan Ops had Sangheili speak in Sangheili. But the Sangheili in the show has clicks and clacks, awkward pauses and other sounds eerily reminiscent of Dothraki, which just shows that the guy they hired wanted more of his prized creation everywhere that isn't Game of Thrones.

@@DoctorLifeMD Why couldn't someone from 343 just give them the lexicon of Sangheili stuff they have in the lore so far? I have a soft spot for the Sangheili, especially the Arbiter and am really disappointed that they messed up a decent Saurian alien race.
