6:14 Yes, The Giants had to give Daniel Jones a contract. All b/c Saquon didn't like his offer; and b/c he took so long to reject it... go look at the timeline in the 2023 offseason. The Giants wanted to sign SB, and tag DJ, but SB wanted a long term 13-15 million dollar deal. The Giants initial offer wasn't long enough, or with enough $$. It forced the Giants to sign DJ and use the tag on SB. What really screwed the Giants, was Dave Gettleman, and drafting SB to begin with. Eli wasn't an "energy" guy either....
Saquon was always hurt too every year n he turned down 2 offers he didn’t wanna be a giant understandable but stop bringing up “we paid the wrong guy” BS
@jaylegend4959 man giving him an offer and giving him a fair offer are twi different things the bottom line the giants didn't want him but got mad when he signed with the eagles oh now it's a problem please you know saquon got two games circled on his calendar thats a fact
@@stephenmillsaps4643 idgaf eagles was beating the giants with or without saqoun we are a struggling team 12.5 per yr was fair with 25 guaranteed we with that money in things we needed like a pass rusher n more o line protection gotta know football to feel me
Gio does not have an understanding as to why the giants would be interviewing QBs even if they were not trying to draft one of them this year. This is the time when you get to spend a lot of time with these guys and they may be an option for you in the future future via free agency. One of these guys could end up being a future back up quarterback, and you will have a full notebook of notes from the pre-draft interview to use in the future should you decide to make a free agent move for one of these guys. this is how they got Drew Lock also. He was on their shortlist because they first interviewed him when he was coming out in the draft.
Tf Daniel’s personality gotta do with Joe building a shitty roster n Daboll taking a coaching step back last year buddy didn’t lose the locker room but he lost respect from both coordinators if you gonna speck facts
joe offered saquan basically exactly what the eagles did. snakequan just didn't want to be a giant anymore and he got put on blast by hard knocks. saquan got exposed.
I don't think Saquon Barkley is a team guy. There are a few examples: 1. First year with Eli, Eli throws a swing pass. Unfortunately it was more a lateral. SB never went after it. Defense jumped on the fumble. 2. Against the Jaguars he ran out of bounds at the end of the game saving time for the Jaguars who almost won the game. If he stayed inbounds on any of those the game would have ended with the NY Giants with the ball. Yet one week earlier he was praised that he stopped short of the goal line thus ending the game with the ball in the NY Giants hands. 3. Blocking on pass plays. He didn't protect Eli. I don't care about the locker room. Optics on the field show whether a player is willing to give everything to win for the team...
