I've been curious to see when more whoops would be coming with Walksnail. I'm still unsure which HD flavor I'm going with. I'll wait until next year. For tiny whoops I find Analog fine (Until I actually try HD). But it's nice to see options come out to get a little competition going. Great vid, always enjoy watching anything here really. I would love to see a 75mm Walksnail shoot out!

It sounds like to me the gnb connector had the motors reving a higher rpm. Also, i have trouble finding props on 1.5mm shafts fitting in frames, usually theyre too big for the ducts

Looking at this (great!) video gets me totally torn apart. I use DJI v1 goggles with an analog adaptor. I had some skyzones 02x, but the HDMI input did not work with HDzero. I sold everything... But now, I'd love to cruise my whoops in HD. Agh!!! Great to see you rip inside again... and how the kids grew over the years.... :))

Mr Burns, I have a question. I have a Mobula 6 ELRS edition with 0802 19000 KV motors, and I somehow got my hands on a NewBeeDrone Hummingbird F4 V2 (not pro V2) with what seem to be 0802 18000 KV motors. I’ve been FPVing for only about a month (after some sim time), and I notice that I fly way more precisely but way more slowly with the F4, even with the same rates. I know that the camera uptilt is different. How much of a difference does motor KV make in this range? 18k to 19k doesn’t feel like it should make such a difference.

Hey Nick, I got the Gemfan 3-blade props and the vibration is horrible? I tried just about every setting I can think of but no joy. I did tighten the canopy down a bit which actually helped a tiny bit but was wondering if you changed anything in your tune? Really hate to go back to bi-blade as I really like the handling of the 3 blade props. Thanks!

No I didn't change the tune, but its possible the AIO has a different gyro. The BMI gyro is much more vibration sensitive. maybe bring the master multiplier down a notch or two. Also check out this oscarliang.com/pid-filter-tuning-blackbox/

@@NickBurnsFPV It appears in my case 95% of the vibration was coming from the battery mount. I left off the printed mount and I am now using a thin cloth velcro-like strap which not only pushes the battery closer to the FC but actually snugs the battery tighter to the frame, video is much better now. As a side note are you using a throttle curve to control the bouncing. I have several dozen quads, whoops etc and the throttle bouncing is really bad on this one.

I am currently running a crux 3 2s with a x12 hm fc and 1202.5 hm Motors on 3 inch biblades. So far its pretty fun but i still need to tune it better as the original tune kinda sucks. Do you have any Prop motor combination you would reccomend? I kinda feel like theese 1202.5 motors suck a little because online you barely find any builds with them.

I think the barrier might be the 2s, I suspect a good many motors are set for 1s 3inch builds, 130x motors are ones I see often on 3inch small battery builds.

Hey Nick, How about a review of the 2s walksnail build. I love 75mm on XT30 connector. And when it is on 2s it's negligible in weight, I think. Also the xt30 connector on 2s is becoming more common. Only problem is that you have to use a rubber band or strap to hold the 2s battery. Velcro strips are very light. You can remove the battery holder tray on the frame and save more weight. Please review the walksnail/caddax vrx. I ordered it and am hoping to get the HDZero goggles for all three formats. HDZero goggles, ws/caddax vtx, and analogue module.

Got any suggestions for a motor replacement for the moblite7? Mine keep breaking. I don’t think they are burning out but something isn’t staying together as well as I think it should. It ends up sticking when arming the quad.

It could be the esc startup power. Or there could be hairs or other debris in the motor causing it not to spin as freely and thus not spin on arm/idle.

I've been flying the moblite 6 for a while now and I've never flown HD. Walksnail / HDZero, how to choose a pair of goggles, do I need a new radio, etc etc. I'd love to see a video about 'getting started' with HD, as more of these HD Whoops come out. I don't really have the space / live in an area where the bigger quads are really possible to fly, so seeing HD come to the whoop class is super exciting. I expect a few others are in the same boat as me.

We do need the googles but we should be able to use our current radio provided the quad we want comes with a compatible receiver to our radio. New to the drone stuff. I have gone all in on walksnail. I have a Skylight 3.5 cinewhoop, and a Rotor Riot Vision40. Love them both. I want to build a Vision40, which is the same as the mobilite 7. Do you have a build guide, from start to finish for someone with zero experience? Or do you know where I can find one. I have googled this subject extensively, and you are the only one that keeps pooping up, but there is no build guide.

Its been a good long while since I have done a full build guide. There should be many online, they aren't likely very current which can be confusing. Search for "Drone build". With micros most of the vtx(video transmitters) and cameras that connect to the flight controller will need an input voltage from 5volts up to 24volts. In the case of hd video and camera it can vary. @@bleumeanyontherampage2136 I think the prevailing thought on digital builds is the main differences are voltage requirements of the hd vtx, and wiring to a uart(rx & tx pads). The most often missed step in digital builds is the rx from hd vtx goes to tx on the flight controller and tx from hd vtx goes to rx on the flight controller. This where rx and tx have to be the same number..IE Rx2 and Tx2.

The walksnail has better image quality. I do find I crash more often with walksnail, likely due to the variable latency. The section in the basement by the storage shelves and the air handling was a place I crash a lot. The recorded files of the walksnail on the vtx are 1080p 60fps with a bit rate of about 50000kbps.

Just bought Moblite7/Dominator googles. Flies fine but HUGE amount of "Orange" tint to video indoors with lights. Ok neutral color when away from lights. Suggestions: Bad unit? 29.33.16 fw on both. Any help appreciated. Thanks Tom

I see a bit of an orange tint when I am in the basement hallway. With that I expect its a lighting issue, we might be able to compensate with goggle settings. Otherwise i would suggest contacting support, they will likely want to see a video.

Hey Nick , happy new year. I brought one of these and have to say its not bad considering the extra weight . I also picked up the exact tri props you have (but in red) but found in using them I had a wobble and it didn't sound happy at all . Did u change the pids or anything else using them? To be honest it seems OK on stock but brought several packs of them so want to know if I can do anything to make use of them! Thanks 👍

No changes to pid tune. But I am hearing and seeing different gryos listed for the AiO. Not all gyros operate the same, it could require a new pid tune or even different filter setup depending on the gryo. Oh and the size of the battery(weight) could also be involved. I tend to use 450mah batteries.

i got one and the video goes bad assoon as i take of not sure if its a battery issue or something is wrong with the vtx but its unflyable i have to use the gnb27 to ph2.0 adapter cause i only got ph batteries rn could it be that the vtx isnt getting enough power? the video looks fine before arming but after i get horizontal lines and if i take of those get worse i also checked the connector between cam and vtx and they are secured with clue it looks like so i couldnt be from vibrations the antenna conecctor is held downby the cannopy so thats not it either im at a lose what could be wrong with it ps.: i see you getting lines from low voltage too (10:48) so that might be it i gonna go replace the battery connetector than

very likely a power issue. The hd fpv systems require more power and ph2.0 is a power bottle neck. Especially if its a used ph2.0 battery. The battery sag goes down to 3.1v the vtx will shutdown.

I hope walksnail eventually designs a propper whoop vtx rather than repurposing their higher mW vtx. I'd say ditch the onboard dvr, drop the mW output to 200, whatever it takes to get it down to the weight of the HDZero 1S edition. These whoops are so sensitive to weight. mine have been good. I did have one quad that video would stop transmitting after a crash, would have to let it sit on the ground for a moment for the video to recover. Otherwise it would require power disconnect and reconnect. I think I have 4 ws whoops at this point. That was one of the 4. In this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r7WX7I8PuEk.html I have two full crashes and then in the flight segment during the desk review several more crashes and bumps. There was also a crash outside in the cold.

the audio is not recorded on the drone it is recorded with a secondary camera sitting on the table near me, then I bring that flight audio into the video with editing.

Ahhh, so this is the one. I'm on the fence between this and the BetaFPV. The weight difference seems large, but I also have more BT2.0 1S batteries than anything else. I accidentally bought a Meteor75 frame (don’t ask why I don’t know lol) and since it’s raining all the time and winter is coming I thought about building a nice indoor whoop with the frame. Soo I thought I might get the Happymodel AIO ELRS (F4 2G4). For motors I can’t decide between happymodel SE0802 16000KV, the betafpv 1102 18000KV and the betafpv 0802SE 19500KV. Also for the camera I’m not sure which one I should get (I’m pretty new to the hobby I just have one little toothpick). I would be thankful for any suggestions and a little help with the motors :) (I’m from Europe so the variety in pets is rather … small - the motors were the only motors I could find fitting in the frame)

I presume your going to run 1s on this whoop build. I would get the 19500kv motor, if it were me I would likely get 22000kv. For analog cams its hard to beat the runcam nano3 for weight or the foxeer pico camera.

Nice video quality, is the flight footage from the goggle DVR or the quad DVR? We usually never sweep the leaves off the lawn, we run it over with the lawn mover smashing them to small pieces that will rotten during the winter to make a nice soil feeding the grass for next year.

Hey Nick, just got my MobulaHD and it seems to fly great except it seems to have some high frequency vibration. I have replaced props and made sure the battery is secure but has not changed. You hear/see anything like that on yours? I have the Mobula HDzero also but it’s rock solid, wonder if it’s the extra weight of the WS system or maybe the bi blades.

It only happens on a fresh battery and lasts about maybe 1min into the flight and goes away. At first I thought it was a bad prop so I changed them all out and the motor shafts look good so I am wondering if its some BF setting?

@@NickBurnsFPV I've got the exact same problem... weird is also that the default pid frequency is at 0.8. It vibrates massively while flying. (BMI270 gyro) And I've also got the HDzero version of it with the same pid frequency but cannot try it yet as I'm still waiting for my goggles.

I'm very much torn on this. Winter's coming and we have whoop races every week. I typically run a Moblite 7 on analog. Would like to buy into the Walksnail VRX system but the extra 10 grams and sub-3 minute battery life is worrying (we usually run 3 minute heats). But it looks SO damn good!

I don't know how much weight we can take off this one other than to drop to smaller motors. The 10 grams is really the vtx and camera weight. The HDZero option is lighter but I understand your interest is in WS. We don't really know what the future will bring with WS, hopefully they can drop weight by at least 2 grams maybe more.

I suspect they used the v4 due to usb port clearance. In the HDzero moblite7 the usb port is encroaching on the battery tray and could get damaged on hard belly flop type crashes or landings. The v4 has a deeper battery tray and the print ensures the battery stays away from the usb port.

Well I have always enjoyed a bit of analogue whooping indoors in the winter . Have old mobula 7 and uk65 . Good fun . I have invested in walksnail so feel I should get a whoop so I can keep flying hd in the winter . But yeah big question is which one! I know how important weight is so I'm pretty sure it's gotta be the mobula rather than the other meteor thing. I did just watch your other review and u do seem to throw the mobula one around a bit faster. Looks more agile. I just don't know which one to buy 😕

Hello! I have vtx bitrate drop at flight for 50mbit mode. So bitrate is 20-38mbit for different throttle rate. Not armed - it is 50mbit. Do you have this problem too?

I prefer the consistency of hdzero. In this video I often crashed down in the basement when going around the door and the storage shelves. I think it was the latency change getting me. Its a tight space with some fairly large flight changes quickly to navigate. Many many crashes right there.

I do enjoy the those features, it nearly makes it a toss up depending on the quad we are flying outside, whoop, 2inch...1s, 2s etc. The hdzero system in 1s quads will edge out walksnail for me.

I just received this in the mail today. came with GNB27 (score) but Im finding that the flight time is hot trash. about 1:20 sec on a 380mah. my 450s have no pigtail and the battery is toilet tanked and the whoop pig tail doesnt reach. it should work if I can re-route the cable. Im on the fence about sending it back since I lose video FAST. my mob7 with 25mw does better, but Im going to play with firmware and other settings. first impression, not impressed :( but it looks fantastic flying 20 feet in front of me.

The WS 1s vtx will only run down to about 3.1 volts, then it goes dark, hdzero vtx goes down to about 2.8. Analog works until it goes down to about when we can no longer fly. The GNB 380s have not impressed me. I can get more flight time from 300mah tinywhoop, webleedfpv folded cell batteries. Really on 40mm prop the smallest battery I would use would be a 450. I think you will have more fun with 450mah batteries. Maybe make a small pigtail to extend to connect to the batteries you have.

It is expensive. Caddx has a vrx coming we can use with our analog goggles as well. I think it is supposed to launch sometime next month. But who really knows if that will happen. Time will tell.

I don't see it as avoidance rather allowing one to make their own choice. I have varying preference, For micros and flying aggressively I find I tend to pickup HDzero quads. For slow more smooth or scenic flight I tend to grab vista or WS quads. I think WS is more micro friendly.

I really hate that this is the video on their site. It gives you no directions on how to set it up, how to bind it to the goggles, how to do anything. This is just footage of some dudes house. No offence to you (unless you OK'd them putting this on their site) but this video is totally useless for anyone trying to setup this quad.

I don't know what website you might be referring to, I don't see it on the manufacturers website. BTW, any youtube video can be embedded into any website or other internet resource using the link to the video with an or embed tags. From this comment I can't tell what stumbling block you might be facing. It might be bound but not arm, might not be bound, might be the video isn't bound to the goggles, might be no osd in the goggles, I would presume the moblite7 your working on is the walksnail version, but can't be certain. Or even the version of control link you might be using. I would predict that very few product reviews in fpv have a setup section as that is very repetitive from video to video, quad to quad.
