My hair stylist got upset when I asked her about henna. I fired her and never went back. Now, I cut my own hair. Cheaper, easier, no tip and no attitude.

What in the question about henna could have gotten her upset? That's odd!
@gif24gt60

@@cd3881 I just asked her a few questions about if she ever heard about henna and it's use on hair and then she coped an attitude. It kinda surprised me because I went to her for about 5 years. Maybe she inhaled too much hairspray that day. I dont know. But, I'm glad it happened because as I mentioned before, I now cut my own. It may not be professional style but it works, I'm happy, and I save money. Just wished I did it many years sooner.

The same thing happened to me. They repeat the same things over and over like a robot. Henna has metallic salts, henna will make your hair go up in flames. Forget trying to educate them. I tried. I believe there was a farm or two in Kenya that had metals in their soil so that henna had some metal in it but I know that’s not even what they are talking about. Years ago henna was sold mixed with chemical dye. Some companies might still do that. Most people know better then do buy that. I hope. Fun fact Henna brows are popular now in salons but it’s not pure henna. It’s henna mixed with chemical dyes. Make it make sense as they say. The only thing I agree is it’s hard to lighten hair again but not impossible. I’ve done it with bleach highlights. Anyway peace.

I live in Italy and where I’m from henna is not common but people tend to appreciate the use of it and hairdressers don’t advise against it. At least it never happened to me. My hairdresser always compliments my hair colour and her apprentice always asks about it, like she’s genuinely curious, and personally I love that

I heard this hairstylist tell someone in her chat that Henna is something she would never mess with because Henna does something to your hair that there is no way to control what it does. I could do nothing but laugh at what she said. My hair has improved so much since I started using Henna and other herbs. I could tell that she never really looked into Henna.

I think you are right, if you are somewhat knowledgeable about henna or other herbs you are unlikely to get unpredictable results. Depending on what you put in your mix and how you treat it you can get many different colours and usually people know what they’re doing

I think the biggest and most valuable thing you are doing is educating us. I'm thankful for you and your team and the knowledge you provide about the ayurevedic methods abd herbs. My journey started a few months ago and I can tell the difference in the strength of my hair and less hair fall of course. I was on an Instagram live watching a hair stylist talk about something else and someone mentioned using henna and she said henna will make your hair water resistant. There were about 200+ people on this live. Before I could get my fingers ready to type, several people jumped in and stated that was incorrect info. Anywho, thanks for sharing! I'm thankful for the info!

I love your videos. I learned a lot from this video. I had went back to using commercial dye 2 months ago and it was making my hair come out and get thin. The only reason I used commercial dye was it took way less time to dye my hair than Henna. Now I am going back to using henna and indigo to dye my grey roots. I will never use commercial dye again. My hair was way more healthy using henna and indigo. I will just have to make time and do it.

I have already started using henna and indigo according to your instructions and I am very satisfied. But from time to time I come across texts that say that contrary to our belief that henna helps our hair to be stronger, thicker and healthier, Indian women, whose hair is too thick and strong, actually, use henna to make their hair thinner, weaker and more manageable. They say that hair tends to fall out when we use henna. This really sounds bizzare, but still, this is the right place to ask and share this concern of mine. Thaks a lot!

Cassia is sometimes called neutral Henna. But its not really henna. I think the reason in some circles its called neutral henna is because it's an ayuervedic herb that looks like Henna in it's powdered form. Cassia is not the only ayuervedic herb when powder looks like henna. The difference is that Henna not only strength hair but noticeably colors your hair, whereas Cassia does also strengthen, encourage growth similar henna but it does not color the hair (hence the "neutral henna" nickname. Anyway, that's way I understand it to be. I welcome someone to correct me if I'm wrong. Hope this helps.
