I played this game on the Sega Dreamcast which I still have. This mission was the bane of my exsistence, even after I got the clothes the soldiers were still shooting me on sight (at least that is what I recall)! Seeing that you can run past the soldiers just like that makes the whole mission a joke!

maybe one of your soldiers had knife or something like that in hand, that happened to me when I was young and playing that game :D

absolutely mate, I have never, ever, ever legitimately completed this mission. I must've been 13, I did in fact get a letter in PC Gamer and that still didn't help me!

I did it, it was easy then, I realised how to make it easier after 15min :D u know like theres a building near the boat where soldiers spawn when boat moves - so I placed dynamite in front of the door and as it exploded they heard it and spawned in fire.... everyone was dead :D

This game has such modern game concepts like permadeath and action guidelines to automate some character functions. Even nowadays war games are just shoot and zero strategies. This game was way ahead of its time.

It's surprisingly ahead of its time in a few ways. A shame not many other games took note. Something like permadeath could truly improve games if done right. Yeah, indeed. Following a linear storyline, without room for your own tactical input, how I wish we had more games like H&D(2)

Hi!, let me tell you something, this game was awful in terms of playing, but the concept of actually managing various players at the same time, giving orders and stuff, was really unique at that time! Thanks for this video, i remember this game and i hoped finding some material here in RU-vid!

i recall spending 8 hours on this mission due to the extremely long loading times on general bugginess on my pc, and my own inability of understanding and following through the mission goals. i still have H&D. should endeavour to give it another crack.

Always use to fail this one even after finding civilians clothes.... Cause there's a guy who spawns after you get into the boat

No need to use four soldiers here, one is enough. Alternative way that my friend discovered - there is a spot on the river promenade from which the boat is visible - so a soldier with Browning can shoot all the enemies running to the boat

Stage 5 There is no bomb to destroy the dam so the package before entering is not present

I don't know why but civilian clothes doesn't work with my guys. Enemies get alert as soon they spot me as if my soldiers where not using the clothes. I remember that happening when I was a child and I played this game, and the same happen me now playing the game 18 years after :S

Ok I found the problem. I didn't have to carry any weapon except for the knife. But I passed the mission without even using the knife. I just runned to the boat and that was all. Enemies even falled to water trying to chase me jaja

For this mission I'd normally just get in that car which is next to you when you start and I'd drive and kill off one of my soldiers by blowing up the car in an accident. Basically I would kill that ANNOYING soldier who drives the boat away and fails the mission when you're spotted. It's pretty effective

Ah, that strategy yet again. As I already pointed out in my discussion with Mehul Saxena (see comments down below), that proved to be a pain in the arse for me. Although I tried going for a clean kill instead (and no suicide, since that goes against the no-fatalities rule of this walkthrough), it was difficult for me to even reach that point where I'd be able to pull off your strategy. For me, most of the time the guards are alerted before I reach the bridge. And that's even with the ideal 'driving line'. I'd rather do the strategy as shown in the video, since 5 minutes isn't exactly a long time to complete a mission haha

@@FrostByt3NL Eu carregei o jogo do link,fiz a instalação e ao tentar chegar ao jogo, esbarra no "Insanity 3D setup config". Tentei todas as opções disponiveis no quadro e nada resulta. Já é a 3rd tentativa de instalar o jogo hoje(tentei carregar de outros sites antes) e o problema é o mesmo. Alguma sugestão?o pc q uso usa o Win 11 H

Multiplayer was an option (Network Game), but I can't tell you much about it. I never played it back in the day, and I haven't been able to join a session at this point in time. Doubt there's anyone left still playing this game's multiplayer X)

First reply I've given in years, so congrats on that X). About a possible next video, that'll depend. I'm not sure how many people would watch the continuation of this series. I could upload some more tho, if that'll the worth the effort. Who else would like to see me finish this series? To whoever cares, an explanation of why I stopped doing this series: During these years of the series RU-vid was starting to change a lot. The lay-out constantly changed, monetization became a bigger part of RU-vid, and the RU-vid environment changed, and not for the good. Call of Duty, the game which made me start a RU-vid channel, came out with MW3 that year. A game I despised playing. And after that CoD went even more downhill. I also started my first year in college, so I also had less time to spend. Combining all this, I got bored of RU-vid and left. RU-vid's still not superb atm, but like I said I'd be willing to continue this series if there's a good amount of people who'd like to see the rest :P

Dependendo da versão essa missão da pra passar só com um personagem e desarmado só chegar perto do barco entrar e ir embora, eles não explodem o barco já em outra versão eles explodem o barco ai tem que matar todos, e na versão que não explode o barco a próxima depois dessa da pra passar só com um também como o barco não explode e só movimentar o barco e esperar eles gastar todas munições kkkkk mas leva muito tempo

so did i alerommel1 i hated this mission with a passion as u could fail whether u died or not as it resulted in the boat escaping had to use the sniper rifle and shoot to scare them then when the soldier went to get in the boat i scored a headshot from a distance and killed him and cleared this mission but i hated this mission so much before i knew i could do that long distance shot i tried

You are playing it wrong, you must kill the boat guy an let Your mates shoot every soldier. Much more funny to play this game when you're making a mess before finishing the mission. A lot of funny cars do drive on this map.
