There has to be a point where the pursuit isn't worth it.... The officer jeopardized the welfare and safety of not only himself/herself but endangered the welfare and safety of all others.... travelling at 150 MPH for miles on end without even seeing the suspect was wreckless and stupid.... This should be a lesson to all other officers on what NOT to do.... this is a fail for sure....
After the 3 minute mark the Trooper was doing nothing more than wasting fuel, abusing the other motorists and chasing road dust, how desperate can they be...
Tyler Van Schoyck needs to be fired. 150MPH blowing by cars for what? He’s gonna kill somebody. Sirens and lights at 150MPH at night. The average driver can’t judge you coming up that fast.
@@00M6TA you can see them but you cant judge what they are doing until right on top of you.. lane, direction, speed etc. its just flashing lights with no context. try it...
same with that 2nd cop driving at least 120+ at the end of the video 2 minutes into this video they should of backed off but they chase because they love the thrill just like the guy they are trying to pull over for speeding lock them all up together
You are “Absolutely Right.” Both of them are nothing less than Deadly Weapons on the highway. A high speed chase in Northern N.Y. Ended with death. I worked with the cop’s wife. From that point on - high speed chases were suspended.
I'm not sure if you've ever had a compliment because of this - but a huge "thank you" for putting your suggested video placards at the end of the video, and leaving us able to still see the content. A lot of people put the placards over the last 20 seconds and it blocks the whole screen. Much appreciated and detail oriented! 🏆
I didn't even realize that, but you're so right! Most other channels block the current content and it's actually really annoying. Thank you for giving this channel the credit it deserves! And thank you, editors, for allowing us to actually see the rest of the video! 🥇🥇🥇
I think RU-vid drives all that advertising placement. I've posted several vids and don't have the whole process down pat but when it comes to the cash-sheesh ....... RU-vid / Google are probably making all those decisions.
Agreed. Whatever the source of the decision to cover up so much of the content, it simply turns away subscribers and therefore defeats the purpose of the placards in the first place by ticking off the viewers. Whether this is a decision made by a program, or a human, it's dumb as hell. So let me add my thanks as well.
@@Vulpine407 Well I can give a bit of insight on all of this as I have been a content creator on RU-vid for 7 years now. The end cards can be used by the content creator for as long as 20 seconds, but the content creator can also decide to shorten this length down to even a few seconds if they desired. So all of that is up to the content creator themselves to either have an end card at all, or to shorten it as this video shows. Advertising placement - The content creator has full control over this believe it or not. They can monetize which most content creators do, as editing videos is not always easy and the content creator does deserve a bit of ad revenue. RU-vid can do ad placements when it feels "There is a good place with little to no talking or less action" so to say and their bot system almost pulls it off, not always, thus the frustration of seeing an ad right when the action starts to hit. BUT the content creator still has full control over this as well (This is called MID-ROLLS), they can manually go to their RU-vid studio and place the ads at specific points so the viewer does not feel like the content is interrupted too much. OR literally delete the ad placement entirely. Sorry this was probably too much rambling and I apologize. I am burning on mid night fumes and just felt like typing too much information 😆 TLDR: Ads suck but necessary if you are making content.
@@BlueLineVibes Thanks for the info! I don't begrudge content makers getting their advertising in. I just believe a lot of us hate it when, as you put it, "...seeing an ad right when the action starts to hit."
No man you don’t justify the Criminalz behavior it’s not just a traffic ticket at that point that I would be, felony, speeding, and reckless endangerment He would be going to jail and charge with multiple felonies if he got caught for speeding that fast and rightfully so people should not be able to be allowed to drive like animals on the roadway
@@jeromeperez1648 he did but the reality is the only way that trooper was catching him was if he wrecked or pulled over, once the trooper hit his speed limiter and saw that the camaro was pulling hard away that should have been the end of the chase.
Dude already ate a late night drive thru dinner got home showered and was falling asleep binge watching some Amazon prime 😴 while this cop was still putting lives at risk on the highway.
facts exactly what i was coming to say lol at what point did he think he was catching him fr he should of got the hint when he vanished on him while he was at 150+ lol dude doesnt need to be a cop that hurt his tiny pride
@@nealneill6809 Illinois had an idiot trooper do exactly that in the early 2000s. Had an accident at high speed for no reason and killed a woman. He's not a cop anymore.
ASP Tyler needs to be charged for putting the public in danger, cause when he slowed down to just a lil over 80 MPH, that camero was out of sight, and stayed out of sight for miles...Hmmm Bet he will NOT get charged....
An old friend once told me "you can't outrun a radio". This cop was reckless asf and coulda just called it in to the next officers or county ffs. Risk so many lives for one arrest ffs.
Absolutely reckless by PD to go 150mph in traffic like that. Losing control he's dead and whomever he hits. A rabbit in the road ends him, let alone a deer. For what? Speeding?
Even if the plates of the Camaro felon actively escaped from prison, they really put a lot of people in danger, fix you're going down the highway 80 miles an hour with the radio blasting, UC far away lights like half mile, he's got to be right next to you in about 12 seconds that's very dangerous. They have helicopters out there I know you could radio to the next town and cop ahead,
The first (clear)speed limit sign I saw was after he was lit up, and that said 50. Since I couldn't see any before that ,I'm guessing they were dropping down from a 65 zone maybe ,that guy was doing about that when the cop came up on him. Or it's 10 over if it's a 55. Whatever , as a car guy I don't approve of or appreciate the amount of headaches we receive from them.
Like some others have said, not to smart to pursue a driver at these speeds, especially if it's only for a traffic violation and you have the cars license plate captured vs. a serious crime (in which case pursuit is more justified IMO). Cars travelling at this speed on a busy highway are a recipe for a serious crash injuring innocent bystanders. You could be the greatest fast driver in the world, but the people on the hwy. are not expecting something to be moving that fast and can easily make a mistake by simply making a lane change.
Look at that semi and the car it was riding near. That very easily could have ended in total disaster for all three people and at that point having to slow down for them put Camaro completely out of reach for that cop (if it wasn't already by that point). If it's more than just a traffic violation then the cop can choose not to light them up until several other police vehicles are positioned to cut off the suspects escape routes.
Alright, but a) where do you draw the line? At what point is it justified to get on these speeds b) how do you know what is the reason for the traffic spot? I don't see the contect in vid/description. Car could be matching description of a murder suspect as much as we know.
Pointless chasing someone you lost sight of minutes ago. He was probably off at the first exit after the trooper lost sight of him. That's what I have done under the same circumstances.
It was over, unless someone changed lanes right in front of the Camero and turned them both into scrap metal. Or if he blew a tire, or if he cut too close trying to pass someone, etc. You never know when their luck will run out. Happens eventually.
I was seriously rooting for the rabbit in this situation. That car did nothing wrong and the lights came on, so lame how State Troopers think they can do whatever they want!!! TYRANNY AT IT'S BEST!!!
It just seems like it gives them an excuse to speed and drive crazy, you know things that they would take you to jail for.Things happen fast at those speeds, they are putting peoples live in danger for what .
I’m sure a lot of that Trooper’s fellow officers are also reading all these comments. There’s a lot of “Negativity” here - also called “Common Sense.” You are Right On amdelux1.
WOW Looks like they raised the governor on the police car up from 130 mph!!! I have been up to 157 mph and it is just super scary as things happen so fast.... Get and bet on the BYRD out there without a Governor! Blessings all.....
Yes, it's nice to.see ASP able to run 150 with the big dogs... they had em dropped to 130 f9r awhile even in the hemi chargers... but there's just too many stock cars that can hit 130 all day long... ASP has some of the best high speed troopers that can multitask & drive, stay focused & run radio safely & well.... 150mph should be the standard for the highway cars... city cars can keep the slower ones..
Holy crap! I'll never drive that fast in my LIFE! One of my cars is a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP (Supercharged Buick 3.8L V6). When I got mine one of the local police departments got a baker's dozen of them. They used them for highway pursuit. Mine is speed-limited to 135 (the limit of the stock tires and mine are "upgraded"). Even at 100-120 it's scary enough! And I've only legged it out THAT much a couple of times (in the middle of nowhere, no traffic)...
@@cigarsgunsandgasoline8032 they really gotta give Byrd a Hellcat. No way people will get away with him driving one of those so long as it’s tires are the right ones.
@@Ok-551 I’ve had at least two cop cars blow past me in the adjacent lane at 100 mph during the day with their wake buffeting my car. Another doing 80 mph in a curve nearly hitting me because he couldn’t stay in his lane, and a motorcycle cop run a red light causing me to almost him… none of them with lights or sirens on. So I did what any reasonably curious person would do and followed each of them. As suspected, the first two were driving back to the police station presumably at shift change, and the latter two were meeting their cop buddies for lunch. Meanwhile they ticket everyone else for driving like they do. “Do as I say, not as I do.” I’ve seen even more, but these were the most egregious.
This officer should have exercised better judgement on this one! A traffic violation isn’t worth not making it home! Those speeds are aren’t survivable for any parties involved
Madness to chase at those speeds .I have seen what the result of an impact at those speeds on someone .It is not worth it I will never forget what I saw.
Welcome to Arkansas where common sense is severely frowned upon. I don't know if you know this. But during the world wars, in a dogfight, you could chase an enemy aircraft to his front porch. That's how they think in Arkansas. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.
@@tbbigrocker149 it actually didnt used to be this way but a long time ago bill clinton gave the state police a crap load of money to do whatever they wanted and now they just dont care about wrecking there cars or killing people as long as they get to drive fast for awhile and all the state troopers ive interacted with personally where just absolute dicks for no reason
I'm thinking that Camaro got off that exit and the one semi truck turned his right blinker on trying to let the Trooper know. There was no other reason I could see that the trucker had to turn his blinker on.
Your probably right. This cop isn’t the brightest. In fact he’s wreckless and immature and if he blew by me and my family at 150mph over this silly shit he’d be having a chat with the pavement.
I was thinking the same bc the second cop at the end didn't no there was a chase until detective tyla flew up on him. That should have bn his clue he wasn't on the right path lol
My 5 ton chevy dually does 130 all day with a performance tune and deleted smog. Out on the open highways in montana. It feels like I have quite a bit of throttle left but I don't dare push it
The Chevy Camaro has more horsepower than the police car ! It's very difficult for the trooper to follow this kind of car on an interstate ! I guess it would be easier if it happens in town ! 😀
@@thebigmon When I go to The States, I like to rent great US cars like Camaro or Mustang. I agree with you BigMon : a Camaro is better than a Charger. In this case, I was thinking that may be the cop would have more skills for driving very fast in Little Rock Downtown. In addition, the trooper would probably know by heart the city and other units will help him to pull out the perp. Cheers from France !!
@US 421 Retread Would never get away with it in Europe. I live in england. If they get your plate even if you get away they will simply come knocking at your door or send you a letter demanding you identify the driver of the vehicle at the time of the offence. If you fail to do so they drag you in front of the court and you get done for not identifying the driver albeit in this sort of situation you are way better off failing to identify than identifying as penalty for that sort of driving is loss of license and possible jail time versus points and a fine.
@US 421 Retread Any of those kind of laws are insane. If that is true no way should something like that be constitutional. imagine the extensions of a law like that.
They get it before they light it up and if they get away they just go and impound the car when they find it and nothing the owner can do from what I understand
If i was the driver in case they got my plates i would dump my car somewhere not close, and act like i home party for whatever reason, and notice my car is gone and file stolen car. LOL

Definitely don't think that officer should be putting people's lives at risk running at 150 miles an hour for a ghost that's probably already home & parked his car in the garage sitting on the couch eating potato chips watching Netflix
140+MPH............ At what point does society ask why a LEO would behave in such a reckless manner involving a simple traffic stop? The perp's car cannot outrun a radio wave. ASP should be compelled to reexamine and revise this very dangerous and potentially lethal patrol tactic.
Why wouldn't you consider the Camaro driver to be reckless as well? There was no obvious reason for him to flee, risking the lives of everyone who he passed along the way. I'm all for troopers getting these people off the road. After successfully evading the police, he is now emboldened to continue to run from cops, risking lives every time. My only hope is that he was able to get the license plate number so they can find him again later and charge him appropriately.
There are 4 instances in the video where Tyler started braking as he was approaching traffic going nearly 100mph faster than they were, nearly crashing into them. Unless they KNOW Camaro dude killed someone, this pursuit should've been terminated the SECOND the police started to put lives in danger.
@@mulletscientist There was indeed an obvious reason for the Camaro to flee… possibly being arrested for a reason unknown to us. At 0:18, it looks like he might’ve been pulled over for weaving within his lane. If that’s the case, should a trooper really be continuing a pursuit with a potentially drunk/high driver at 150 mph?
I am always fascinated how different the same behavior is being valued. I am pretty sure that danger in general will not make a difference between those who drive that fast, might it be a citizen or a police officcer ...
What a thrill ride, no damage or injury but a lot of fuel was used. The closing speed on other traffic seems off. Is this GPS actually in KPH? Probably not just sensor overload kicking in. Are lane divider markings standardize so an independent estimate is possible?
For at least 10 years Dodge, Ford and Chevy made the police job a little bit harder with these high powered cars. Once a V8 muscle car has over 400hp and an open road, he can pretty much get away if he can keep the car on the road.
@@perfectgematriadecodesabc4259 People only glance at their mirrors every so often and typically they aren't looking for vehicles a mile back their attention is focused on the vehicles much closer to them.
You have to realize how fast a car moving at150 can come up on a driver doing half that speed, you're passing them like they're sitting still, watch a Nascar race, preferably up close and personal to really get a clue as to those speeds.
You better have more than a few mods under your hood if you’re thinking about trying to pull this off, I love APS videos they make it impossible to watch these other videos 😂
These good ol boys can barely handle the power they have the last thing they need is more horsepower they have no reason to put everybody's life in danger because their egos are fragile
That car must have violated the MAN ACT for the trooper willing to kill everyone around him or her and what supervisor would allow him to continue chasing the DARK.
There are 2 types of people.. Cops and Criminals. A Criminal has to get lucky every day to do his Job, A Cop only has to get lucky once to do his job..
No it’s the difference between knowing your car and knowing how to drive is what sets these people apart these cops are trained for these high speed pursuits and maneuvering many criminals who run are not but those who know how to push their car to the limits can easily outmatch these cops
@CrazyFrank Thank you, Frank, for sharing with us your wealth of knowledge. But I'm thinking there's plenty of drivers with the right cars out there capable of outperforming a police chase. It's those radios calling ahead to other officers to throw out spike sticks or throw up road blocks. Maybe even avoiding the police helicopter following them. There's you some luck from my angle
@@dougroberts3643 I know there’s luck involved but a whole lot of skill goes along way I’ve seen plenty of amateur drivers have cars most definitely capable of outrunning cops and still be taken down simply because they couldn’t handle the power so regardless a skilled driver is a good driver but thanks for the attitude you sarcastic shit. Also needless to say there has been Many cases where the helicopters and so called “radioing ahead” has failed of course you can outrun the radio and yes you can even outrun the helicopter it has been done time and time and will continue to happen. Cops get smarter but so do criminals they catch on it’s just the way it is. Luck or not if you’re a shit driver then your chances of outrunning the agency is Greatly decreased
Now this is the big difference between Arkansas and California. Had this guy tried this in California, they would have had the Army, Navy, Marines, Helicopters, A-10s strafing. No expense would be spared to avoid embarrassing the Highway Patrol. The prosecuting attorney would have then dismissed the case, or let him plead down to a turn-signal "fix-it" ticket.
Police interceptors tops out at 150... Most heavily Muscled Beasts can top out at 175plus...Having said that, that cop should of pulled back because he was being wreckless endangering other drivers
He should have gave up on that chase within the first 2-3 minutes when he's going 150 and the Camaro is walking away from him. The guy in the Camaro was probably sipping coffee at a Waffle House at the 5min mark.😂
Less to do with "getting away" and more to do with people yielding to the left or not yielding at all. The one who *doesn't* have to sort out ignorant drivers on the road is always going to have an advantage.
@@tikonc Even with the police at 150+ you still see plenty of drivers who do spot then and move out the way in time, sure occasionally a driver won't have enough time to react but most of these cases are people who have a negligent level of inattention or just don't care at all. Personally if a vehicle blasts past me at silly speeds the first thing I consider is whether law enforcement are in pursuit and pay attention for that so as to be ready to move out the way and similar if I see one emergency vehicle with active lights/siren I assume there might be more and attentive for that.
@@WestsideBoy Nothing to contend with by using the shoulder. Pursuing officers don't have that luxury since people *might* use it to yield. Also how often do you see drivers hit the brakes for cops? Now how often do you see them do that for a fleeing suspect? lol

I suppose 150MPH limit on ASP is quick enough to catch most (130MPH not good enough). But seems on hot rods, they need to work harder a coordinated effort to catch them. As soon as you know its fast, put that plan in motion. Road block all traffic would be one way to trap them.
What everybody forgets in this situation, he is allowed to do this by law. is it dangerous? Absolutely! Here in Australia this would not happen, not worth risking lives. The constabulary would note the number plate and follow up.
In the 70s I had a 442 Oldsmobile. I brought a power antenna from a junk yard and rigged to push my license plate open. Which was behind the tag. So cops couldn't read my tag number. I out-ran cops all the time. Back then the cop cars were lucky to have 225 HP. My 442 was 550HP.....

Ive seen this same behavior from ASP on other videos. Im trying to figure out if its ego, or some sort of stupid policy that , after you start a chase, you can continue at any speed you desire even after you have CLEARLY lost sight of the perp. smh
