How do I set it to only be like from 7pm-6am.. it doesn't allow me and says 'the start time should be earlier'.. I don't want any intrusions alert during the day. ( i was trying to set it up using my mobile hik app tho)
hi paul quick question, can you set up basic events and smart events at the same time on a hikvision dvr? if you had to pick basic motion detection or smart intrustion detection which would you pick sir?
On intrusion detection my dvr has settings for max and min object size inside intrusion just wondering why yours doesn’t is mine newer or older firmware
Hi Graeme. The reason for that is the DVR in the video was a 16 Channel HQHI model which at the time was the only 16 Channel Acusense model that was ready for the UK market. The 4 and 8 Channel HUHI versions were in circulation but, the 16 Channel were not. This accounts for the differences in the configuration for intrusion and line crossing detection. Hope this helps. Normal event would be say checking your gardener did weed the flower bed (via motion or constant record) Intrusion would be as set for a notification event, someone trying to break in via your back garden. My opinion people are welcome to step in
Good video. I have nvr DS 7616NI-Q2 7 Camera HNC 344-XD. I can't seem to intrusion or cross line motion to enable. After enabling and drawing box or line when I click to save I get invalid operation. Can you please advise
Hi Kingsley, I would imagine that your issue is the camera. There are literally hundreds of OEM and copied hikvision cameras out there on the market, and if memory serves, the HNC 334-XD could be one of them. Hikvision higher functions such as intrusion detection and line crossing require certain information and resources from the camera concerned if it is IP based. The HNC 344-XD will probably not be able to hand those recourses over to the NVR. Even cameras that comply with the latest ONVIF protocol will not do so yet. Remember, big tech manufacturers DO NOT like sharing their toys. Especially in such a competitive market such as security. Only Hikvision DVR's / HVR's can provide these higher functions with the use of third-party cameras because the chip set inside them does all the donkey work, requiring no resources from the camera. If you have a genuine Hikvision camera or the L1 / L2 camera knocking around that the HNC 344-XD is based on. Simply plug one in, and you will. "I'm 99.5% sure." Find that the intrusion and line crossing will work correctly. Hope this helps. Regards, Paul CCTV Systems UK
