i have the exact same one 1986 honda spree red edition, in great shape everything is original only about 250 miles on it. it’s been my little project lately. nice video

Hey i have a question on these sprees 1985-1987 is a premix required on these every time you refuel it or does the oil tank do the job automatically meaning you don’t have to pour anything in the fuel tank?

Hey there, I am going to buy a spree tomorrow and it's been sitting for a year. The person says that it ran when parked, do you think I might just need to do a carb clean?

Most likely.just make sure its got fresh fuel and good compression and it will go!

So I took the float bowl off the carb and it is surprisingly clean. The jet is good, I can see right through it. I'm hoping that I can just wait for my battery to get here, put 50:1 premix in it, and try to start it!

Its a 2 stroke. There is no oil in the crankcase. Oil and gas burn together

The honda spree has an oil injection system, so there is a seperate tank for 2 stroke oil and a seperate tank for gas. Just make sure the oil tank is topped off with a proper 2 stroke oil. And the oil light means the oil tank is low on oil!

Ill top it off.. How about gear oil.. What do i use??on the manual it says 10w40??is that right?

Port the intake, ditch that shit carb. Those Chinese carbs are complete garbage as you'll soon find out. A ported intake will really open up that Spree's BBK. The stock intake doesn't really have the oomph to handle a BBK too well. The difference with a ported intake is like night and day when using a BBK.
