In this video, we’re going to talk about how cruciferous vegetables detoxify the body.
Cruciferous vegetables are able to help the liver detoxify by supporting phase 1 and 2 enzymatic biotransformations.
This means your body has the ability to dismantle poisons into harmless water-soluble particles.
However, constant exposure to poisons, chemicals, endocrine disruptors causes phase I to speed up, overwhelming phase II enzymes. In turn, this can cause you to experience the symptoms of having a buildup of toxic substances.
Every day, we’re exposed to countless toxic chemicals, including…
• Pesticides
• Herbicides
• Fungicides

@@brothercaleb sauté veggies with avocado oil then deglaze it with water to cook it fully rather than steaming, more flavourful and you won't lose most vitamins and minerals. :)

KnowingOneify I HATED the Doctors for a long time, but the real culprit in our demise is the group of people responsible for writing the books that teach the Doctors lies to feed to us. I work in the clinical research industry and noticed that medical directors at major pharmaceutical and biotech companies are also contributing authors to medical school textbooks. What do you think they’re going to teach future allopathic doctors. I stay away from meds and have now focused my specialty on drug safety instead of development

@@bahe1969 Thanks for sharing! Very interesting! It's sad though. One of my doctor's is into holistic medicine and she focuses on vitamin levels. She changed the way I look at things when she got my Vitamin D up to an optimal level (higher than conventional medicine tells us to). I feel SO much better now! And she told me about Turmeric for chronic pain. I started taking it everyday and it helps tremendously! Plus it cleared up my skin!! It's amazing.

I just like to say thanks for all of the info on keto and the intermittent fasting it has been Life changing for me. I was 112kg with high cholesterol and blood pressure back in 17th of April I'm around 90kg now and still loseing wait. I spoke to my doctor and I'm off all Meds for cholesterol and blood pressure. I'm doing healthy keto with 1meal a day And I'm not feeling like I'm starving. I feel like the student in the front row of the Indiana Jones movie. She is watching Indiana and blinking her eyes...her lids say "I love you." Dr. Berg is wonderful...such a gentle delivery of this info. My gallbladder was kicking up something fierce, I have been having the greens, knocked back the grains and am feeling better. I also am doing apple cider vinegar in the morning with apple juice and bouncing on the mini trampoline.

I was taking DIM and started feeling a lump in my throat and bloating. DIM helps to lower estrogen. Estrogen blocks the thyroid hormones. Zinc helped to stop this from happening. Added selenium and now I'm feeling great.

There are glucosinolates, in particular goitrogens in cruciferous vegetables, which have shown to cause thyroid issues. If you have thyroid problems i would recommend not eating too many cruciferous.

I learned it was from low stomach acid. Taking HCL and feeling better. DIM makes my nails grow. For 30 years I was not able to grow my nails.

@@devhxpg not really it must big huge quantity although some are more reactive than others but it has to do with the sensitivity of their stomach then that must be healed for better absorption. I one have leaky gut.Need more acid and probiotics.

It works, I had cystic hormonal acne and I took I3C and it came to a screeching halt. I took it for 3 months, I ran out and it pretty much stayed away, but I try to regularly eat cruciferous vegetables to keep my skin clear. As for the crampy periods, that's cured with magnesium.

Yes it seems so much easier to just do healthy keto & eat lots of cruciferous vegetables to detox chemicals. But I love the green veggies. Unfortunately when I was eating tons of greens in CA as a kid DDT was in use. 😮 Too bad I waited so long to learn healthy detox. However - I’m going forward everyone! Thanks bunches Dr Berg!

I replaced grains including bread, rice, and potatoes with cruciferous vegetables and they work great! I make keto pizza with cauliflower, pasta with shredded zucchini and mashed cauliflower.

Dr. Berg, I am 50 y.o. and went thru hereditary early menopause 10+ yrs. ago. (Didn’t take hormone replacement.) Last year I had a very bad pilon fracture which led to this year’s dexa scan which put me at a T score of -3.0… osteoporosis. Would this supplement provide me w/ the much needed calcium, vitamin D3 and vitamin K etc? Thank you so much!
