It's actually illegal to "trick" or coerce someone into signing a document that they don't understand. While the contract could simply be nullified due to you not having the legal cognisance to ensure that the signing was done in a legal fashion the overt and obvious deceptive element with the coin implies an intent to deceive and defraud. Using the video and stat decs from the parents a claim could be made, damages woudl be ... interesting to calculate. Of course the sister could then settle by having you sign an agreement that she is the better sibling, a perfectly legal option.

I'm sibling number 4 of 5 and I have the pleasure of living with and taking care of my parents now that they are older. My father has passed on and I already told my mom my intention of telling everyone once she passes that I was my parents' favorite. No one will be able to refute this because I'm the one here. I already tell people that my father's final words were "Jubal, you are my favorite." No one believes me but then again Galileo was thought to be a liar, too. My mom thinks it's hilarious.

I took a look at the bits of the contract that you can see when he waves it around. I'm impressed his friend seems to have taken the time to actually prepare a realistic contract, complete with a disclaimer on waivers and severability provision.

I could never do that with my mother, she's an accountant by trade, you better believe she'll read every line, especialy the small print, and be the first to protest if anything is fishy, It's handy when I have contracts to review though "I'll confer with my accountant and get back to you" has saved me more than once :)

I got out my notes from my business law subject from 2 years ago just to try to find some legal stuff to invalidate your contract. Here's some stuff which might be relevant but it's all a bit too technical and specific to know for sure: -There needs to be a legal intention to be bound- this is dubious considering the circumstances in which the agreement was reached -There needs to be mutuality- both parties must agree on the same thing -Deceit is an exception to the effect of signature Unilateral mistake- where one party is mistaken (about the subject matter of contract, rights, duties, etc) and the other party tries to take advantage of the mistake Undue influence- where one party abuses the influence they have over the decisions of another in order to obtain some undue benefit, e.g abusing relationships of trust & confidence. Legality: It could just be not legal and thus not able to be enforced by contract. Anyway I don't really know, but this was fun, I love contract law
