It's probably because the name was originally EVa to be more like Ella, but they thought it was too similar so changed it to EVe, but forgot to change it everywhere
In the trailer they didn't even bother to animate her. She's just standing there. She looks like she could be in a-pose too, meaning they may have not even bothered to pose her.
It's sad that they'll approve this garbage ripoff but they absolutely refuse to show any support of the Smash community or modding, both things that Nintendo fans are highly supportive of.
I remember when The Last of Us started with 15 minutes of slideshows and written exposition over art that in no way resembled the art style of the actual game. Masterclass in storytelling.
Fun fact: when the writers of this ad wrote "darker than the darkest nightmare" they had to go to sleep for 2 weeks because the intense brain power they used was too much for them to handle
It's easy to imagine how, when it comes to the games' mechanics. None of the civilians could run or fight back, unless they ate a Snickers bar for every muscle fiber they needed to move.
I think the idea behind the story is that a disease came through and killed 95% of people, 1% were either immune or survived and 4% turned into zombies instead of outright dying
Kinda torn because on one hand copy/pasting a game is dumb as shit, but on the other hand fuck naughty dog and that loser cuckman. Let both sides burn in this situation
Brian actually pretending to be called Liam is amazing. We haven't seen such character depth since the green M&M put on her gogo boots for the first time.
I PLAYED THE LAST HOPE THE ORIGINAL ONE AND IN THAT ONE YOU PLAYED AS A VIKING AND IT WASNT A RIP-OFF OF LAST OF US AND YOU COULD GO TO THE UK AND THE RUSSIA
As someone who messes with the Unity engine in my spare time I can RECOGNISE some of these assets and animations😂😂 The character is powered by the "Invector Shooter Template" on the asset store, they didn't even change the animations up (or use their own, haha imagine), or the reticule... The buildings look very much like something you'd find on Turbosquid The cars are from an asset store car pack The trees are from a Yughue's pack on the asset store I'm pretty sure... (the only reason I know this is cos I used a few when I was learning game development when I was younger, some of these assets are ancient... I make my own stuff now with photogrammetry :) )
This game is truly a masterpiece, how dare it be accused of stealing off another game. The plot twist that the dad was right in front of the girl, the game mechanics, the combat and sounds were just incredible. Will be buying this.
They? Thats 1000% AI paragraphs. There is something inhuman about esssays current AI write, the over wording and buzzwords, the excessive repetition, that if you read some of the stories AI writes online, you learn how to realize its chat gpt or another program. Plus we know they used AI for images, so obviously they can use AI for the writing.
At first I thought, “why would Nintendo approve this game?” Now I see. This game is absolutely life-changing. Thank you Charlie for making this wonderful video.
Maan I can hear the default Invector Third person shooter sounds as well, the footsteps and pistol sounds, the animations too. You can do alot with that add on aswell don't know why they didn't.
I always try to remember people have different skill sets. The fact that someone, even if they used AI to write that, didn’t think “oh fuck this is garbage I need to edit this” is astounding
People who make this stuff aren't trying to make a game. They're trying to make cash off of people buying from new releases. It happens all the time, despite it not at all being worth it.
The fact they made it 88% just so the public could play their life changing game truly inspires me, Truly no surprise Nintendo approved them. Screw Zelda: Tears Of kingdom, This is the best game of 2023.
So he can throw like 4 whole punches before he gets too tired to do anything else and he needs to eat before he feels like he has enough energy to swing his fists again…I’m glad we chose such an elite soldier to send into the future to deal with this problem. I have many hope in him
I absolutely love that its implying that she is the daughter he will have in the future, which makes sense how he wouldn't recognize her since she hasn't been born. And yet she doesn't seem to recognize her own father who she would have known all her life, even if it was just through pictures or something assuming he was away soldiering at the war or whatever. Doesn't seem to be the brightest bulb.
I think this game honestly has a really cool premise just terrible execution. If it was sort of like a reverse 12 Monkeys where you had to go into the future to determine the cause of the apocalypse in order to prevent it in the past, that’s a pretty great story concept
Yeah I was gonna say, “Wait if he is her Dad how tf does she not know.” What should have happened was SHE recognizes him but he doesn’t. Maybe he introduces himself first, and explains he has a daughter called Eve coming and he’s a soldier named Brian. Then she could be like “Oh crap that’s my Dad.” and she hides HER identity so he doesn’t act overprotective of her. Instead for some reason Brian intentionally becomes a deadbeat Dad and acts like he isn’t her Father
@@DeathnoteBBHis consciousness was transfered into a different person's body in the future, according to the massive wall of boring ai exposition dump at the beginning.
This game truly changed my life. The photorealistic environments, deep engrossing story & buttery smooth frame rates that never tank below 120fps. A true master piece in gaming history, the last hope.
At first I’ll admit I was mad “NOT ANOTHER ZOMBIE GAME” this is the best game I’ve ever seen the story the hope the zombies the hero father soldier man. I’ve never seen a game like it
I cant help but notice that where in the store there would normally be a bunch of freezer doors holding cold stuff there is instead just a bunch of vending machines. I mean it almost looks right but...
An unmitigated masterpiece. The only thing missing is these lines at the end of the game: 'Joel': "Eva, we truly are The Last Hope." Eva: "My name is Eve!"
This game actually brought back beautiful memories for me. I'm almost 10 years older than my brother so when he was playing fps games at like 10-12 years old, would die, and would enevitably rage, I would yell at him "YOU DEAD" just to intensify the rage. Thank you so much Charlie and The Last Hope for this beautiful moment.
This is one of a game of all time. The fact that Brian woke up and got out to find *a* girl, which is a great feat in itself. And the fact that *-ellie-* Eva, introduced herself to him as Eve during their first interaction shows that she might probably be hiding something. Who knows? perhaps we’ll never know since this might probably be the last playthrough we’ll ever see of the infamous, The Last Hope, from charlie as far as im concerned and dont get me started on the gameplay, which is the charm and core of this entire game. The guns make you feel like you’re actually there shooting the zombies. Last but not the least, the “You Dead” upon dying really makes you feel like you’re actually there, dead.
My theory is that Eva is an imposter, portraying themselves as the daughter of the unquestionably badass main character. At some point, mr. mc will hit their head and remember a crucial fact: "My daughter doesn't have asthma", foiling the plan of the sussy baka once and for all
The thing is, I love world building and ideas for cool stories and one of the concepts was actually interesting to me. The ability to time travel, but you inhabit the body of someone in another time whom is comatose. You can tell it's AI generated because they do *nothing* with this concept and move onto zombie outbreak, when a human could create so many stories from this alone. Where do the comatose people from the future go after their body is taken over? Do they get sent to the past? Could someone theoretically live forever by hoping body to body? I imagine this technology is expensive, so who and how many people have access to this in the past compared to the future? What about boot-leg and botched jobs (as in, every technology is copied by lessers in an attempt to cash in on the popularity. This 'game' being one. What about bootleg or DIY time-travel comapnies that don't do it as safely or securely as it should/could?) Do you have to take on and continue the life of the person's body you inhabit, or can you live your own life? What if you enter the body of someone younger or older than you? (FBI stalker please, I didn't mean it like that!) There are so many interesting little stories you could write based on this concept, and all it is used for is to justify a man waking up in the future to see his now older daughter.
The audio being so bad is such a brilliant choice because the characters ware earphones to prevent the zombies from smelling their brains from far distances what an excellent attention to detail they added this game truly is game of the year
@@ljxk3l31 The human brain has no smell. The only theory I can find for how tons of zombies can converge on a few humans from great distances is that they have a hive mind and as soon as one zombie detects a person every other vaguely-close zombie is alerted and comes running.
As you can see Charlie only has 2 games on his switch, one is a masterpiece that will be remembered for years to come and the other of course is Tears of The Kingdom
@@kengiro0599 It IS the whole game. It's just so bad it causes your brain to hallucinate content out of lack of stimulation. Seriously, go back and watch the video frame by frame...
10:22 She says her name is Eve in the dialogue, but in the character label for the text box it says "Eva" The writers couldnt even be bothered to remember their own characters name
I don’t know what circumstances led to Charlie having a Switch screen with no games but Tears of the Kingdom and now The Last Hope on it, but I’m savoring the sight because it’s something no one will ever see again.
