In today's video I get the wheels moving on my 12 valve Cummins Swapped Ford Explorer project. This is excited since I had to do a lot of custom work to get the drivetrain in and this verifies the transfer case and transmission are functioning properly. It also means I'm much closer to getting this driving!

I just got my first real camera! No more filming everything on a go pro. The downside is that there's a large learning curve. There were some very apparent focus and audio issues in this video and I apologize for that. Hopefully I have the hang of the new camera now and quality will go up quite a bit on future videos!

Hey you should do a video on Headlights. Halogen/HID/LED. I know you’ve seen the endless hype over these LED kits etc. I think they have their place but a lot of these “kits” are a fad. 400% brighter blah blah. Maybe I’m wrong. Idk

@@caseyedds2032 thats not a bad idea. The stock headlights wont fit on this anymore (someone put a huge cummins radiator in the way) so itll get new headlights, I might be able to touch on it then!

Sweet the build has come a long way and it’s definitely one of the cooler explorer builds out there

Since following this series I’ve revived my 93 Full-size Bronco. It’s now better than it ever has been mechanically and cosmetically, road to trail ready. Pales in comparison to this awesome build. I’m sure there’s others that have done the same. Thanks for the motivation!

Nice!! The clutch engagement, trans shifting and transfer case operation are flawless! It's so cool to see it the wheels turning under their own power. Can't wait to see it driving down the road.

I was very excited it all worked!! You never know after modifying all this stuff to make it work 😅. Hopefully soon!

You got more brake fluid on the ground than in the master. I do the same thing all the time. Just swapped out my explorers 8.8 axle drum brakes for disc brakes.

I had the same pinion angle issues when I lifted my truck. I ended getting the shims and spending a small fortune on a Custom driveshaft. Probably didn’t need it. But I was 16 at the time and knew less than I do now lol

Noone ever learned anything by getting it right the first time 😅

If you weld a bead on the cap it will shrink the cap and allow easier removal.

Fair enough. Keep in mind these are full of grease though, I’ve actually had a balljoint explode on me once from heating it then hammering it to pull it out.

I don't think it will get "that" hot all through the ujoint to explode. It's just a quick circular bead on the cap. I've done it several times without incident. If you were heating the cross I think you might have problems.

@@baconcreek609 its very unlikely, Ive only ever seen it happen once and it was a balljoint not a ujoint. Weld bead can definitely work it isnt a bad tip, just thought Id point it out in case anyone else is like me and had never seen/thought of that!
