Having had to remove an automatic after it was installed and disassemble and reassemble because a thrust washer was wrong, absolutely right. It sucks and you can't blame anybody else. That's when I get stress induced turrets and refer to myself as idiot or other choice words. Excellent work.

I’d like to say that I’ve rebuilt my pre-70 Ford C4, from my 65 mustang. I had to replace the stator support and did a couple mods along the way. I also successfully did a total rebuild on my 4R75E along with the Borg Warner Transfer Case. The vehicle was a 2005 F150. With an organised disassembly, proper parts and fluids and a confirmed ID on the unit in question. It can be done. I’ve also done a couple Peerless 5 speed gear boxes. The kind used on walk behind mowers. ❤. But in all honesty, I’m aware that those units I did are all pretty simple as far as auto boxes go. Awesome channel

I’m right in the middle of rebuilding the auto for my truck. I’m lacking motivation. I’m even at the easy throw it back together part. Only Part I’m not looking forward to is the shift kit install.😊

My zf5 shit the bed, haven't pulled it yet to know if it cracked the case. The zf6 I have needs some rather specific tools, maybe not special for the trans but not somethin most shade tree guys will have.
