@@datboysunday2760 What? At least y’all won a championship. The LA Clippers had to: -Deal with the worst NBA owner in league history who let good players walk because he refused to pay them -Having best era of basketball (Lob City) riddled with playoff injuries -Never been to the Conference Finals -Blowing two 3-1 leads -Living in the shadows of the best NBA franchise ever
Truth! Warriors have always had a great fanbase, even though some ugly ugly years. Unique for that part of the country who are more interested in their tans than bad sports franchises.
@@Ice_24isthegoat this comment makes no sense at all draymond played a very big part on those golden state teams and without him they would of maybe had to make other trades or pay other players and then maybe there’s never KD or any titles at all for that matter
Shoutout to the real GSW fans u deserved all success that u got from the Golden dynasty, im big Curry fan he is my top 3 favorite players ever, but im not the GSW fan, i mean i love when they win but i never watched them before Steph in 2013, i am a Denver Nuggets fan btw :)
You know what Even though they're my favorite team you have to talk about them The Los Angeles Clippers from 1970 to about 2009 basically their entire history was just pure pain and misery That would make probably the best timeline video ever and a LONG ONE
@@RefRed_King from 1970 to 2003 you could say that 04 to about 07 they were decent With the Sam Cassell Elton brand teams 08 to 2011 they were bad or mediocre 2012 to 2017 they were pretty good But the clippers made the best decision they ever made by getting Jerry West in 2017 18 to 19 wasn't bad but not amazing 2020 Pretty good and 2021 also pretty good so far I personally think they could be doing better this season But it's better than nothing But yeah majority of the Clippers history they were horrendous
From 1970-2010, They only had just 7 playof appearances. ONLY SEVEN in just 40 YEARS. From 2010-2020, They had 8 playoff appearances and 2 division titles
The Warriors is a rare special case in the draft timelines that LOW has ever covered: They made a lot of mistakes, but they got to experience success, unlike a lot of teams LOW covered
Kinda funny how GS didn't draft Garnett and let the twolves get an all time talent, and then the twolves didn't draft Curry (twice) and let GSW get him
Garnett was a highschooler, very lanky and people seem to forget that hindsight doesnt apply when youre in the actual moment itself. He wasnt a guarentee, nobody ever is. Obviously 5 teams passed on Garnett for a reason.
it's nice to meet you and i'm not certain which five teams those were but kevin garnett didn't equal the 1959 warriors draft selection being wilt chamberlain
I am old enough to to gone through that. I am a fan since 1989, just before they traded Mitch Richmond. I was so excited when we got CWebb at that time and then everything just crashing down. I hung in there as a fan and still went to the games. I had friends even laughing at me for wearing Warriors clothes. All those humiliated years finally paid off when we finally win it all!
The channel I didn't know I needed. Absolutely love the point in time analysis. If this Playlist continues I would be terrified of you Wizards analysis, specifically the Miller/Foye trade and Vesely.
Thanks for shedding some light on what Dubs fans went through back in the day. Mitch Richmond was my favorite player when I was a kid and them trading him away broke my heart. Don Nelson let that "genius" talk go to his head. SMH
Joe Smith looked dominate at Maryland, KG was unproven and a huge risk. That being said, they just had a big thing for drafting big men rather than whoever the best player available was.
I must be old because I grew up watching Billy Owens. He was one of the h.s. stars everyone knew would make the nba. He was talented but quiet. The Warriors had the big man curse every since traded Robert Parrish for a #1 pick(became bust).
I wonder what Kevin Garnett's career would have been like without Joe Smith essentially sabotaging years of it. Minnesota got 4 1st round picks taken away because of him.
Awesome video, really takes me back. I was just thinking the other day how they long term messed that team up after the Webber draft, even though they recouped their 3 first round picks in the Gugliata trade....then went and flipped him for BUST ass Donyell Marshall. Anyone remember when Billy Ownens was "the next Magic"? Lmaooooo how did that work out, guys?
Honestly, I felt like I only started seeing the Warriors when they upset the Mavs with their We Believe roster. Then they went back to being mediocre until the 2010's when they have Monta , Lee, Curry and Jarret Jack
Here's the thing, all of those terrible terrible history NEEDED to happen in order to have the Curry Era basketball we had enjoyed and continue to enjoy
Warriors pain is nostalgic for me. I’m more used to the headaches of Chris Mills, Vontego Cummings, and Adeonal Foyle than actually watching us win the last 5 years lol.
Chris Cohan crippled the Golden State Warriors before Joe Lacob and Peter Guber saved them and took them to another level. Jerry West was the key piece in the Splash Brothers era Golden State Warriors success.
if you could go back and redraft the warriors starting with 1993, you could have had a roster of penny hardaway, kobe bryant, chris mullin, kevin garnett, and ben wallace over a 4 year stretch.
In Webber’s All the Smoke interview he said he wanted to stay in GSW, but that Nelly ran him out. Kinda crazy how long he stuck around because of how mediocre he was
Wanna know what happend to change fortune? The owner sold the team and they hired a new head coach and gm over the course of two years. (2010-2011). Unfortunately alot bad teams with bad owners won't let go.
Chris Webber did a Interview on All the Smoke like a week before this video dropped and told why things didn’t work out in Golden State. Besides that interview Chris Webber has spoken about the situation and his career before on numerous other occasions and podcast
0:22 Pretty sad how the Wizards are one of the teams on this list who still hasn't made a Conference Finals (From the mentioned date) What's more depressing is the Clippers are the 2nd team on this list who hasn't made one either
Did this guy ever cover how the Orlando Magic could have had a dynasty also? Those picks that they got from the Penny trade could’ve made them into a dynasty if Shaq stayed.
