i got a question or 2, so i got a kenmore AC can i leave the top Drain plug connected with a hose and just leave the hose in a bucket and empty it out every other day or so or does it need to stay closed at all times and second question if i leave the top drain, draining into the bucket will i still need to drain the bottom one aswell or will he top drain just drain all water in the unit hope to hear back from you soon btw i live in Oregon.
Sure that would probably work fine. We’re in Florida so it’s super humid here and we have to drain our a lot but if it’s not as humid, you’ll have less water accumulate so good luck stay cool and thanks for watching.
Mine is brand new. I live in Pittsburgh and it has been very hot. Maybe 60% humidity. I have the hose connected to the back and it filled up with over a quart of water in one night. Why? Helllllp!
How often should I be emptying it? I only really read it at night and late afternoon. I empty it like once every couple days and barely anything comes out
We are in Florida so it’s very humid here so we have to check it every couple days but if you’re in a dryer climate, you won’t have as much water and you won’t have to drain it constantly newer units have automatic evaporation so you have to check and see if yours does that good luck stay cool thanks for watching
