Great video, very informative. Amazing how well honey works on burns! I burnt my forearm cooking Thanksgiving dinner, put honey on burn, left on about 2 hours, eased the burning sensation immediately. Redness is gone & no blistering.

I just bought manukora manuka honey with umf 20+ and MGO 830+ as I have osteomyelitis and many doctors are afraid to do through surgery because of a lot of other factors like skin status is so bad and bone need debridment and then plastic surgery to shift the muscle to avoid sloughing, and the wound is opened since last January with a lot of pus coming do you think the manuka would help, I also need to know how to apply to the wound and how to change daily... thanks is a lot in advance for your cooperation and help

I have a dog (lab) that was attacked by (we think) an owl about 5 or 6 weeks ago. She has seen the vet twice and given antibiotics and pain meds twice. The 3rd time the vet said to get Manuka Honey and apply to wounds. She also gave a different antibiotic and pain meds. I think the combination might be working. However it is hard to keep the bandage on her. We wrapped tape around her body but it slips down her back. Any suggestions?

I have had breast surgery ; aug and lift . About a lonth ago the 10th of may exactly . I have some necrosis and i started putting manuka honey on it (neezealand manuka honey) and i didnt see a difference but at least it want bleeding ir anything. The scan was a bit hardened though. I then put vaseline afor a day and it really loosened the sscab (which i didnt like ) but i received my xeroform from my surgeon int he mail and he said to put that... i prefer the manuka what are your thoughts?

I love bees. I created a mini forest in my backyard with many mature trees , Flowers, flowering vines, trumpets flowers, roses, and flowering bushes to attract them. You have to love bees without them we won’t have fruits, vegetables, grains, etc. ❤❤❤

aloha loved your show... I will try and find the manuka honey yet in the meantime is organic honey better than other like traditional store Neosporin, etc...also do we put band aid over it after or let dry out for a bit? lastly...I am new to your group and am fighting a staph infection due to a serious and infected upper femur leg compound fracture that got a rare bone marrow infection called Ostiomylitus anyways im on antibiotics ........aloha and thank you again... from Dean in Oahu

I have done my research on Manuka Honey. I agree with you and the ones in the drugstore is not as potent when I looked at the box. It's not even rated. So I will look at amazon to order it. I suffer from lymphatic wound and my dermatologist couldn't even recognize whats happening to my skin. SMH. So after much research online, lymphatic wound is my enemy. No one told me when they removed them. Thank you Dr. for this video.

Safe to use manuka honey on a hot boiling water burn? Burned my hand from boiling water from ramen noodles few days ago. It was very red and burning at the moment and a blister. Did put my hand in the shower head cool water for a bit. It is still red. Are there any risks in smearing manuka honey over my fingers/hands to help the burn? There is a blister on one of my fingers so safe to use manuka honey even on the blister spot?

I've been using UMF 15 Manuka honey on a nasty ulcer on my ankle that keeps leaking pus and blood; and it is getting larger still raw and painful - I've used the honey for the past 2 wks every day; but still not seen any improvements. I'm having a hard time cleaning the wound bcs of the pain and the lack of proper equipment plus I have back and hip pain that get in the way of bending down to the foot. I've been to the wound care clinic at my local hospital once a week for the past 6 months; they tell me the pus is the problem. Does this honey not kill bacteria and if so why can't I get this pus out? Or maybe I'am I not using enough honey? Please advise me, thank you so much.

How are you using it? You should saturate a piece of gauze with the honey and then bandage the gauze to the wound, change twice a day or maybe even more if its getting saturated with moisture quickly. You want the honey to stay in contact with the wound.

I have a wound on my foot that my podiatrist suggested to use Manuka Honey on to help with debridement. But he didn’t exactly tell me which kind to get. So I got just Manuka Honey. 30 MGO. Didn’t know there was a medical grade Manuka Honey. What would you suggest? Only reason why I bought the one I did is because it was more affordable.

When using Manuka Honey for medical purposes, it's essential to look for a higher grade known as "Medical Grade" or "Active Manuka Honey." This type of honey is specifically tested for its antibacterial properties, and it's rated using a grading system called Unique Manuka Factor (UMF). For wound care, a higher UMF rating is generally recommended. For better wound healing benefits, I suggest looking for Manuka Honey with a higher UMF rating, such as UMF 15+ or higher. While it may be a bit more expensive than the regular Manuka Honey, the medical grade one has stronger antibacterial properties, which can be more effective in promoting healing and preventing infection.

Sure! To apply Manuka honey on wounds, follow these steps: Clean the wound with a sterile saline solution or clean water. Apply a thin layer of Manuka honey directly onto the wound or onto a sterile gauze or dressing. Cover the wound with a sterile bandage or dressing. Change the bandage and reapply the honey every 1-2 days or as directed by your healthcare provider. Manuka honey has natural antibacterial properties that can help promote wound healing and prevent infection. However, it's important to note that it may not be appropriate for all types of wounds or infections.

I like your videos in general but when you speak about Manuka honey and UMF rating it seems you are a little bit lost on a ground of POTENCY understanding. In fact, I have no idea about why you chose that grocery grade ( and brand) widely selling at supermarkets. Manuka honey rating you should understand deeply and make a separation between marketing efforts for brand to stay on retail shelves and laboratory testing results if you broadcast such knowledge to general public. Otherwise it seems you are that brand's ambassador. There is nothing wrong to be their sales agent or an ambassador. Same time to be honest to your subscribers telling the truth about Manuka honey rating systems I think you should spend a couple minutes on such point. Do not mess up people regardless of the fact we do live inside one big marketplace now. There is no such chemical element as UMF but Methylglyoxal is. How it works on human body, how such specific element helps our immune system to fight with bad bacteria and viruses - that would be interesting topic. Let people themselves to decided between UMF and MGO ratings of Manuka honey manufacturers, agreed ?
