This video actually makes me cry a little. Sometimes I feel so stuck here. In a city that nobody cares or knows about. It’s all about the coastal cities here in America. It’s really nice to see KC from an outsider’s prospective. It’s so nice to finally start falling in love with my city.

I come back to this video every once and a while when I’m feeling stuck. It’s so validating to hear an outside perspective of my city. Sometimes I feel like I’m stuck out in the middle of no where. Everything exciting happens on the coasts. But this video makes me really proud of where I’m from and inspires me to explore more what I have right in front of me.

This exact reason why I love America they have so many community driven events like this barbecue competition and all the small food places which give god tier food, most small business's in the UK or where I'm from just aren't good or are fast food chains, there is a pub near my house which have a steak and ale pie which is to die for.

Thanks for visiting 'game changing' American cities that weren't on the coast (for all that you had a choice in it). The Midwest gets a bad rap but it's only boring cause you're not looking in the right places!

US cities, coastal and inland are all amazing. They all have great people doing great things and care about their city. IMO, it's when you get out of the cities and into the countryside that people start getting super protective of what is already there and hate outsiders. In BBQ, there are purists who say, don't mess with their regional BBQ, but those same purists still celebrate people who come up with something new. Like, don't mess with SC BBQ, but if you're in SC and you want to try a different way to BBQ and its good, call it your own and people will flock to you. But don't call it SC BBQ. But those people are all cooking their amazing BBQ in well populated areas (otherwise they'd have no customers and not stay in business). Go into bumfuck nowhere indiana and everything is shit. Indianapolis is awesome though.

I've lived in Kansas City for 52 years and though I'd been in the past, I had absolutely forgotten about BBs. I watched this yesterday and went for lunch today. I won't let so long pass without a visit again.

i have to say, the game changers videos are probably my favorite videos that you guys have ever made. Living in the US and it being such a large country, and such a melting pot of cultures i very highly doubt i will get the chance to see most of it, but whats even more interesting about these videos is experiencing all of these places and cultures through the eyes of non americans which is fascinating. Im from boston so the culture is very different here than it is in chiago or kansas city, but it still feels slightly familiar because its still the US. Im really looking forward to seeing more of these in the future if you ever visit here again.

I met the amazing lads from KCBS when I was working at a BBQ joint in Melbourne and they were so so so lovely. I got to sit in on a lot of the training sessions and they were beacons of knowledge. Can only imagine how much Jamie would have gotten out of this experience!

honestly, i'm watching this 8 months later....and it just made me so absolutely happy to see you guys experience what america can be at its best, to see that there are wonderful, happy, smiling, welcoming people. i know this is just a food channel, but you chaps do fantastic work bringing joy and happiness to an international audience. and it really made me grin like a proper idiot to see america do what we do best. Trbl Teen Just to clarify...Kansas City is in the state of Missouri and not in the state of Kansas, even though it's close. A lot of people get that confused, even Americans lol
