Summary: 1. Identify purpose of exercise: Different techniques for the same exercise can train different muscle groups. Ie. Squat - High bar vs low bar. - Low bar is more hip and glute dominant and creates less stress on the knees. 2. Desired ROM - Can you reach the desired range of motion? 3. Movement Quality: - Flexibility: Can you hit the right positions while keeping the joints, ligaments and tendons in the place you want them to be? - Symmetrical: Avoid tilting side to side. - Stable: Avoid wobbling during the movement. Make sure you maintain stability throughout the movement.

I’m an idiot, so does lactate still cause muscle soreness but just not in the way we though it did? What causes muscle soreness and what is the mechanism occurring when the soreness goes away?
