Ladies, pay attention closely to the type of man you are attracted to! Especially if you are suffering from childhood trauma and unhealed emotional wounds. I can relate to this video firsthand and when I took the time to actually sit and evaluate why I kept attracting men who didn't want commitment and only used me for sex, I realized that I was the common denominator! I had low self esteem/self worth and I used men and sex to feel validated. I was scared to have boundaries because I didn't want to be rejected so I accepted anything that was given to me. I guess my purpose for this comment is to urge you to do the self work, consider therapy and healing, and maybe take a break from dating for a while until you have healed and truly understand your worth. Hope this helped someone. Absolutely loved this video!

2019 is really removing toxic shit from people. Made my exit 3 weeks ago. Definitely tough at times, but I keep reminding myself that I would rather be on my own, doing my thing, being happy, living life; than be with someone who never valued me or truly loved me. They didn't deserve me and those men don't deserve you ladies. Remember we are QUEENS. No time to waste on mediocre bullshit. If I decide I'm done done with you, it's because I've already given you a second chance or 500 chances. I don't give up easily on people. It's takes quite a while for me to finally decide I'm done with a person. So after I've tried over and over again, and they continue to let me down or don't show any change, and that they're just all words and no action, then I will have my last straw. If I continue to show you my perspective and be open minded and understanding and try to work things out, and you don't try to accommodate for our relationship consistently, then there's no point for me to keep putting myself and my energy out there. At some point it becomes about my well being and staying a healthy individual and not sacrificing myself for someone that doesn't show the same amount of effort.

We have the same sentiments. And yet people who have been a martyr of their relationships kinda disagree when I tell these to them. They say I dont love hard or I just look at love and relationships in a practical way. That this way of thinking might not be able for me to find the right one. Well they can't blame me. That despite having some trust issues I still did my best in giving my trust and, yet failed to keep it.

This definitely hits home. I had abandonment/daddy issues which lead to 7 years of an emotionally abusive relationship with an older man. Last month made a year since I ended the relationship and this month made 10 months of therapy. I’m still a work in progress but it definitely get better.

Girlie Im a at that point right now. Although I didn't spend years with him its been 10 months of situationship and he never game and still hasn't gave me a gf title. This guy is also way older than me....15yr age difference. It so hard to walk away because like you I had daddy issues. My father left me when I was young and then my step dad came in the pic but the relationship between my stepdad and I is not the very best and never has been. Maybe that's the reason I seek validation or happiness with this older guy. The idea of "what if he decides to change his mind and ask me to be his gf" when I walk away is what sets me back from taking that decision and calling it quits once and for all. This guy also mentioned to me a few days ago "what if I told you I want to a serious relationship at this point"...dont know if its a tactic to get me to sleep with him since I havent slept with him or if he's trying to play mind games to make me emotionally dependent and not walk away. Im so lost and confused at this point. :(

No relationships or even dating is prefect but it should never have to be this draining and confusing what is his intention? Is he just with you for the time being is what you want not falling in line with his wants? I just had the craziest fight with my ex last night, he was insanely aggressive and manipulative, didn’t respect my boundaries when I asked him to leave. But I realised that the problem lies with me; in that my boundaries should have been placed at ‘absolutely zero contact’ instead of ‘please leave my house when I ask you to’

Sarah N are you still with this person ? Depending on your situation you need to find an exit plan. If you are staying at his house, but you have family/friends etc. I would pack all my stuff and then break up so I can leave in one go. I can’t do that because we own a house together. So I broke up with him. Said that I could take it anymore etc. I have tried in the past to be honest and tell him that I thought he was a narc, that was a big mistake, he tried to turn it back on me, and in the end we ended up back together. And whatever happens DO NOT take this person back ! He will NEVER change! He will make promises and twist and turn the truth ! Get a journal and write down everything. Whenever you miss him or feel bad for him READ and remind yourself why you made your decision.

Breeny, you can't even imagine how much you've helped me. I found you 6 months ago, driving in a bus to work, literally moments after both my ex-partner of 4 years of a relationship and I decided to separate. Lost, confused, devastating but longing for a deeper connection with myself. I remember exactly you describing my pain, you showing me the pieces of paper sticking to each other and what happens, if you tear them apart. I remember your Bible quotes, God words. I was so grateful to be able to hear your wise words, to this day I am. I survived the most difficult weeks with your help. Learning how to become strong, confident, happy again, how to take care of my relationship with God. Learning how to trust and how to have faith. I just wanted to tell you that I truly love your content. Your voice is so soothing, so relaxing and I always feel so safe watching your videos. Still fighting, still trying to figure it all out. But you have taught me so many great lessons and been such an inspiration and motivation for me, for real. Thank you again from the bottom of my healing heart.

I’ve been treated really badly for years by a narcissist who constantly makes everything my fault and has just dragged me down and down. A couple of months ago I was in one of those relationships (the inability to communicate, the endless fights, the crying all the time... I was there). And I found your channel at the time.. watched your videos like crazy and felt SO strong that it didn't take me long for me to break up that miserable situation. It was hard but I made it and today I'm over a month into a trip around Asia, I'm where I wanted to be, doing what I wanted to do, figuring myself out (so that I stop attracting this kind of relationship to my life), and I'm full of hope. Oh my gosh! You are such a blessing. I did like a guy that was so awful to me people begged me not to have anything to do with him. They told me I deserve to be with someone that treated me well. I realized my feelings had to do with me seeking love from a male that was like my father. Thank God that I never went with him. I realized it years later. I looked at him day, and I realized "what the heck was I thinking". He was not a good guy for me. I pray he finds love for himself and a great woman to love him, too.

Close to a year ago I left the most toxic relationship one could find themselves in. This guy did nothing valuable for me, in fact, I was giving and all he did was take and take without any sort of remorse, he eventually got someone else pregnant and that was the end for me. I could not see myself being a step-mom to a child I dislike or even taking care of someone else's child. I was already taking care of him, I could not take care of his offspring as well. Sometimes we are s afraid to be alone, that we tolerate toxicity, I'll never put myself through that ish again.

Love this. My last relationship wasn’t abusive in anyway but we did argue a lot almost everyday. Toxic also means unsuitable for you right now and if you stay in it eventually it will be detrimental to your wellbeing. I just couldn’t see myself living like that any longer. It’s been 7 months since we went our separate ways and I have been flourishing ever since.

I'm going through really hard time and your heart to heart story is very similar to mine. I have been with my partner for 5 years and I'm so attached but I know I have to leave. Youve given me the courage to tell myself I need to do this. Please bring out more videos because I really need this right now I just think I may go back to them and I really don't want too but it's hard when you have created a life with that person and I feel I'm so dependent on them and I'm aware I shouldn't do this and I need to make myself happy. Your honesty the most honest person and most open person I have seen on RU-vid and I applaud you because you've made me realise Im not the only person who has or who is going through this.
