I love the technique of using water to surround it in the oven. I imagine it helps prevent the sides from over cooking and helps keep the cake moist too? It honestly looks perfect

i just made this and it came out so nice!!!! i used two small pans cus i didn't have any big pan. but anyways, the top one came out as a castella and the bottom one came out a kinda fudgy castella but anyways. they were soooo soft and bumpy and good!!! THANKS A LOT!!!!

Today I made this cake! It is real recipe, don’t worry. All ingredients are right on weight. It become very soft sponge, we love it. Next time I want to try it without cacao or/and with cherry 🍒 Be brave, go on and have a beautiful life everyone who read my massage ❤️
@@tamaraeverett4856 My mother made something similar or basically the same thing and it's not dry at all. It's really good, especially since the caked is mostly steamed compared to baked, it's soft and moist :)
Thank you for the recipe! It turned out exact like yours. Since it's first time I taste this type of cake, can't judge if it's correct, but mine was extra light, jiggly, and was almost melting in your mouth. It was delicious! 👍
@@just-some-dude7252 it wouldnt sound like that in person, her microphone sensitivity is very high so the slightest of sounds will pick up , thats why it sounds so raspy/crispy.
