How to move on (without answers)  

You’ve got no closure from a narcissist?Something from nothing leaves nothing… That was a good song. But seriously, … you’re actually lucky. I’ve been there and it hurt. But when I realized that losing them was a blessing, … so thankful. You deserve better!

Dealing with a narcissist is a no-win situation. They are much more flawed than you and in the long run you are always better off without them. It isn't always easy and narcissist can be quite cruel but once you realize a successful happy long-term relationship with them was a make-believe fantasy then it's easier to get over it.

Hi Susan. You look lovely. Thank you addressing this topic. Closure is relief with anyone antagonistic. Call them out.. Expect raging and blameshifting. They're aware of their behavior and patterns. Full of excuses and projections. A leopard doesn't change their spots. Seeking supply and rotating supply. Opportunistic and transactional. You're not responsible for their behavior. There may be hoovering attempts. Opt out and leave for your own sanity and safety. It's a win and self preservation. Disrespect and abuse is closure. ❤️ 🙏

No contact is the answer. He doesn't want you. Find someone who DOES!

Valuable topic Susan, I did this myself with a friend that turned out to be a complete narcissist, and you've hit the nail on this one. I could never find my sense of balance with her, and this irrational want or need to always please them and make you feel like you need to apologise and always make time for them.

The answer is : self-worth . Simple . PITY THEM. NO JOKE.

So right Susan, give yourself closure and move on. See it as a learning curve by healing mentally and spiritually maybe counselling. All 3 helped me. Ty ❤

thx susan for all that you do. I wish i could save my narcissistic partner whom no one will accept after me n she will have to live a lonely/miserable life because of a bad choice of cheating on me and refusing to apologize for it after given opportunity to do so. It's just sad to see someone make bad choices. I wish it was all a dream, i wish i could save them, she is so gullible. An Adult but child at heart.

I hate ghosting and no contact. It's just cruel. But I realized it was them, not me. They don't need to be a narcissist to do this (and if they are run don't walk! There is no future with a narcissist!) but they definitely have something going on in their heads that doesn't work for you anyway. I met a guy recently who was great, we got along perfectly, had all the same likes and dislikes, met and had an amazing time, spoke more, and planned for date 2, and then POOF gone. At first, I thought it was me, I was ugly or did something wrong but then I realized hell no, we had great chemistry and he told me he couldn't wait for date two. So something happened on his end. Maybe I asked a personal question that triggered him, or maybe an old flame came back into the picture. Or he was afraid of sex. Either way, I know it's him and it's his loss. So proud of myself for going here because a year ago I'd have blamed myself!

Thank you for this question, I am in exactly the same situation after a 30yr relationship. He is no longer allowed to impact MY life. Move on, their actions tell you it is not worth your time to waste wondering. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever dealt with, but realising my life in mine for me. Thank you 🙏🏼

How on Earth are there so many narcisists in the world? I thought this was an extremely rare condition but the amount of people saying they have had a narcisist ex is surprisingly high. How common narcisism actually is? I appreciate you reading this.

I got cheated on for most of the duration in which I was seeing this person. I never got an apology I never got an explanation, it’s been so difficult not getting answers not getting closure.

Why do I keep attracting those types? I saw narc #1 today in fact out a local music festival. Narc #2 disappeared without a trace… He was a former client of mine too. How crazy is that? These narcs are scared so easily. They’re afraid of their own shadow it seems! Very fast in the beginning and then abruptly vanish. 🤷‍♂️ I know it can’t be me!

Sorry Sarah for what happened to you. Same happened to me after a year and half of daily communication and frirndship.we live 10 minutes away. We bump into each other frequently even after ghosting me. It was very weird scenario. I did not react nor ask.. he say hello whenever we bump into each other. Its a very sickening sensation

When someone discards you multiple times after you've given them more than one chance and they say they never wanted to hurt you and they respect you etc are they a covert narcissist?

Susan how do I move on when a man chooses another woman who offered intimacy sooner. Im conservative have values. Every now and then I have been running into him and he avoids me. We were friends and now he acts like he doesn’t even know me. He used the words that we had a relationship connection and everything.
