still hurts. Even just holding it diagonally across the palm in racked position hurts still lol

It's not even the "hitting" or "slamming" on the forearm, it's the weight and angle resting on your forearm that just hurts from weight/pressure. Why aren't all kettlebells shaped like the prokettlebells (atlas/apollo)?

Thanks thats actually helped me a lot. The problem I've found is that if I use a competition KB its fine but if I use an 18kg cast iron that's half the size it seem to put more pressure on one spot.

There might be differences based on the size of the bell you are using. You could change your grip and control where the cast iron bell rests more to help.
