I have been a diesel mechanic my whole life My daughter tuned 16 and we purchased her a 2010 Nissan maxima. I have been watching these videos and I got to say every time I watch her she is spot on and her videos are really in great detail. Wish I had her in my shop Thank you

The hardest part is probably the upper bolt bracket the bolt is way to small and hard to align while trying to squeeze the bracket. What I did was buy a longer bolt from O’Reilly and it worked like a charm with no headaches! add a little thread locker and it’s good to go.

Thanks for the video, it was very helpful in knowing about the 2 brackets as well as the bolt sizes, the PS pump bolt was a 15/16". The hardest part was getting the banjo bolts started on the rack as it was necessary to use both hands(with very little space to work with), to properly align the bolt without dropping the washer. Same think on the PS pump as the hose had to be twisted at a odd angle and the washer kept slipping off. I would not recommend this repair for the novice mechanic. Germain Nissan in Columbus, OH wants $267 for the hose and $530(3 hrs labor), for a total of $797, before taxes.

Did this myself, thanks. However the moment I tighten the pressure hose bolt into the rack, The steering wheel gets completely stiff locked up. If I crack the nut just barely loose enough to leak, the wheel is loose and free again, but will lock up the moment I tighten the bolt. What could be the issue?? Please advise.
