RINGOISM 10 Commandments: 1. I am the LORD of thy rings. 2. No other training equipment before rings. 3. Remember to keep holy the training day. 4. Honor thy rings and ring straps 5. Thou shalt not swing. 6. Thou shalt not commit ringultery (train crossfit) 7. Thou shalt not steal thy neighbors rings. 8. Thou shalt not lie about max reps. 9. Thou shalt not covet weight training. 10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's training spot.

@Peter Hofmann Well, it's your own will. The thing is, CrossFit isn't inherently a bad thing, it's just their culture that can lead to some bad habits. As long as you do things with proper form, there should be no issues. Here's the deal, though: kipping pull-ups and dips can be harmful for your body, so keep that in mind. Kipping on its own is fine, as long as you understand what you are doing. Heck, even gymnastics has their kipping techniques.

Routine 1. Pull up 3 Knee Raises Inverted position on the 4th rep 3 Knee Raises (inverted) Tucked Front Lever Negetive Routine 2. Chin up Inverted Position Tucked Skin the Cat Routine 3. 3 Chin Ups 3 Skin the Cats (tucked) 3 Toes to Bars Routine 4. L-sit Chin Up Inverted Position Inverted Pull (1 sec hold) One Leg Back Lever (1 sec hold) German Hang Inverted Position Inverted Pull On Leg Front Lever Negetive Routine 5. Muscle Up 3 Dips L-sit (1 sec hold) Elbow Lever L-sit Slow L-sit Muscle Up Negetive Routine 6. Muscle Up Front Roll Support Position Elbow Lever Inverted Position One Leg Front Lever (1 sec hold) Routine 7. L-sit Muscle Up Shoulder Stand L-sit Inverted Position - Back Lever (in one fluid motion) Inverted Position - Front Lever Negetive Routine 8. 2 Archer Pull Up (Each side, grap false grip on your off hand) Muscle Up Push Up into a Handstand Shoulder Stand Lower into the inverted position (Using biceps) Front Lever Negetive I find these routines very helpful & fun! The thing I love about rings the most is the freedom of movement when it comes to gripping them! The range of movement just feels so natural for the wrists and joints involved that I would ALWAYS recommend investing in a pair.

@@AquaLady153 There are two seperate sectors of Gymnastics, One for Women and other for Men. Women compete on four events: vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise, while men compete on six events: floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars, and high bar. I heard the Rings were allowed for Women in the olympics back then. Which changed now. But that should absolutely not matter. Regardless of you gender, I highly suggest you invest in A Pair of Wooden Gymnastic Rings and Adjustable Nylon Straps with Buckles. And Start your Training. Don't let anything stop you from getting better.

After being an avid weightlifter for decades, I bought a set of rings for home use during COVID. Now that Im again going to the gym, my workout consists primarily of working out on the rings. At 64 years old the rings are much easier on my joints. The rings are always available to use at my gym because most members are intimidated to use them.💪👍

Thanks Dave! What a great, inventive and creative video. I do a lot of my training on rings (thanks to your videos...) and this is exactly what I need to progress now. Will try to get my own routine from this...work it into sets & reps and try to progress the routine difficulty over the coming weeks and months. Your 8 min of video has given me motivation and workouts that will last me months! True genious! 😀

Wow, awesome routines man. I could hang until routine 4 and then you lost me at the ring muscle ups. I'm still having to band assist for those. That pelican curl negative in the last one was just too cool for school. Keep preaching because your channel converted me to ring calisthenics. Recently I've been playing with some aerial silks and dance pole for a little variety. What kinds of apocryphal activities do you enjoy?

Ringoism is the best religion ever 😂😂😂 But seriously, push ups don’t really work my chest anymore (even though push ups are one of the best exercises out there). So a few days ago, I did a full body workout. During that workout I did chest flies with rings and man, man, man....... my chest is still sore from that AMAZING exercise!

How would you program this for an intermediate beginner (little experience)? I can probably do 12 pull ups and 15 dipsunbroken full ROM on the bar/parallel bars (if that's a helpful reference). Been doing a lot of powerlifting at the gym, but gym is closed now and I wanna try to get into calisthenics. I'm 29 btw

i have been following your videos since june 2018. I got a pair of rings and started doing a routine from your channel called How to Start Training on RINGS - Tips for Beginners. I am strong enough to do all of the exercises but I am having alot of joint pain in my left sholder. Enough pain to stop me from working out. I am really bummed because i like the idea of gymnastic rings. If you have any suggestions please help.

I have a question about programming a training session that contains these routines. Right now I can do 3 ring muscle ups in a row and my focus is on increasing that number at least to 5. Should I do muscle ups as a standalone exercise, repping as much RMUs in a row as I can or should I implement a routine that consists of RMU, dips and pullups? What would give me better results? I kind of feel like my progress stopped after reaching these 3 RMUs which I achieved pretty fast.

I know its been three years and you probably already reached your goal, but if anyone else sees this that is curious this is what I would do. For muscle ups, bar or rings, its best to break it down. Train more weighted explosive pull ups and weighted dips at the 5 rep range. Get plenty of rest in between sets for those low rep ranges, like 3-5 mins. Best wishes friends.

Isn't it hard to uninstall the rings when you hang them so high? How do you reach the cam buckle? Top of the rings seem above your bodyweight. I am planning on buying rings, that's why I am asking
