I get TONS of questions about my dog and what I feed him so I just wanted to make a quick video going over what I give him and what different supplements I use. Dogs do really well on an "ancestrally appropriate" diet, same as humans do. The difference is, except in cases like Jack, who needs extra fat for his skin, dogs usually require higher protein and not as much fat. I listen to Kevin Rutherford, on SiriusXM's Road Dog channel, who is an NTP and has the show Destination Health on Wed... and he feeds his dog right from the food he is making for himself. No grain-filled kibble, at all... and dogs don't need veggies, either.

YES! Jack does have a much higher protein ratio for sure but I add a small amount of fat only to his meals :) Total agree!

@@Ketosavage Dogs lick like that bc of tummy troubles and I found that fat causes my fury baby to get nauseous. She was licking insane. Not anymore! She just kisses. If you she your baby also licking herself and the air ? It’s definitely tummy issues. Just trying to help 💜 I want to give my dog straight Carnivore diet. But I’m afraid she’ll be missing something? I don’t know what to do. Maybe more research? But , I was thinking if people get this way . Shouldn’t dogs all the more eat this way? Just my thoughts. Great video

What kind of bones do you give him? We tried giving our Maltese raw chicken bones (as part of bone-in thighs). She loves them but will start to choke when she gets to the last little bit of bone-like she tries to swallow the last bit without chewing / gnawing. As a side note: she becomes very possessive and aggressive when we feed her carnivore. Once the food or bone is give to her, she will kill if we try to take it back. (Otherwise she’s very gentle and docile).

My dog doesn’t want to eat dog food, vegetable , grains or starchy food anymore ,only meat. And egg sometimes . Will my dog survive long with chicken, pork, beef diet only?

Great video to bring awareness to pet health! My dog Waffles (100lb German Shepherd/Lab mix) has been keto/carnivore since Spring of 2017 when I became keto. He actually had cancer and I found the keto diet through Dom D'Agostino and he helped create the Pet Sanctuary in Texas. They can help you as well in your pet's journey to keto. Just Google them! I adore Jack because I am a huge animal lover. This video shows pure love and health! I have cats as well and we've begun to transition them as well. I very recently lost my 17 year old cat and it's the kibble that's killing them. So this video is very near and dear to my broken heart. Love your stuff Crystal----thank you!!!

Just took my dog to vet with an ear tumor and she doesn't want me to do keto or carnivore. My dog is 11. He has surgery next week. Says it will reck his kidneys.

How do you know how much meat / calories to give your dog though, I have 3 dogs all in different weight classes.

For some reason today it just hit me how unnatural it is for our pets to eat a grain diet and this dry kibble all the time. So I decided to look up carnivore diet for dogs and found your video. Really enjoyed all the information and hearing about the results that your little dog experienced. Thank you!

I love this. Do you feel all cooked meats would be ok for the dogs? Not sure if i could do a raw yet. I know it's all in my mind. I'm keto for 3yrs next month and I just inherited my granddog. I know he would benefit from this woe. Just not sure how much would satisfy him either.

Yes! Jack ate all cooked for a period of time. They get more nutrients from raw but the cooked is totally fine as well!

Nice video. I've heard vets say that all that licking could mean he's not getting enough salt. Even small children will do the same thing for the same reason.

@@GrammaPatriot if you doing a truly raw diet there's practically no salt at all in it. I actually add a dash or two of Redmond real salt a couple times a week.

Crystal, I have the same issue with my Yorkie Tony in regard to his teeth. He only has a couple left. If we can't give him and Jack bones to munch on what could we give them to replace the calcium that they would get in bones?

Egg shells have calcium, can grind them up when dry, add to food. Sardines have their bones in, also contains calcium

I actually started doing this with my dogs when I started Carnivore. I started just adding a little Hamburg or leftover steak and the drippings to their dog food. All of them got diarrhea. Any suggestions. Mine love green beans 😊

Switching to an all-meat diet often involves a period of diarrhea for humans, too. One thing about dogs, tho, us that they thrive on more protein, and less fat, in most cases. The fat from liver and other organs is great, but try not giving them the pure fat from steak, or the grease from cooking. If you share a meal with your dogs, you eat all the fat, then some protein, and give them the bulk of the protein.

YES! I recommended slowly adjusting just as I did. Mix their regular food with a SMALL amount of cooked meat, then continue more and more over 1-2 months. Just like our stomachs change on keto theirs will as well!

Raw grass-fed bones for boron& bone marrow / joint piece with cartilage, add some raw liver for vit a,c & collagen: peel the inside membrane of egg shell: pasture-raised/organic best. Raw is better of the two for dogs & best they eat raw first before if feeding any cooked meats. Freeze raw for a couple of days first especially pork/chicken, feed once defrosted (no microwave). Any fat or raw bones best to go premium organic/grass-fed/wild

The best option to find your pets macros or breakdown of how much they should eat is on mycarnivorepet.com Jacks food will likely not meet exactly what your pet might need. I mix up the meat sources which provides a great deal of nutrients and electrolytes naturally. If you feel your pet needs more then there are many options for electrolytes as well!

My vet told me today that keto/carnivore will wreck the kidneys. My dog has an ear tumor and wanted to change him to carnivore. My dog eats twice a day due to low blood sugar by morning and his puking. My gut just tells me to go your route

My dog was recently diagnosed with cancer (he is an old pup now), and the vet as well as the specialist we saw were both very in favor of his diet. I highly suggest My Pet Carnivore for a rounded diet!

Regular doctors tell us humans the exact same thing that carnivore will ruin our kidneys. They been lying to us for years so they can profit off our sick obese bodies.
