Although Gwen and the outfit are fictional the dilemma of what people think as we evolve isn't and a concern I have heard is that teenagers will critisise. I hope you enjoyed the story.

A number of years ago I read an article in a high fashion magazine by an Italian model, I don’t remember her name, but she was in her 40s. She said from the age of 40 onward jeans no longer suit women and she had stopped wearing them. So I did the same, I haven’t worn jeans for over 10 years. I’ve never been a big fan of them. But I see they actually look good and quite youthful on Gwen

Yes there was a journalist who wrote a list of things we shouldn't wear. This started an over 50 blogger movement called I will wear what i like. The journalist concerned was about 30. Cheeky whatsiname 😀

Im very petite and can't wear the chunky boot or cuffed jeans, that look makes my legs look 12" long. That look is for women with very long legs.

I have a few pairs of Converse style sneakers that I wear most days and with everything. They are like slippers but more foot protection. Used to love angle boots but they became too heavy and chunky.

I’ve never been quite so relieved to read the sentence “don’t worry, the skinny jeans are staying.” When it flashed up on iPad I realised that I’d been holding my breath 🤣🤣! Ok, back to the video now I’ve calmed my short, chunky, 58 year old and ever more greying self. I’ll tell you a secret though, despite the hips, the Zimmer frame which keeps me relatively stable. (It’s ugly, but not as ugly as my face when I face plant the pavement ), the MS falling problems, the breast cancer surgery..in my head I am Posh Spice, AKA Victoria Beckham 🙈🤷🏽‍♀️🌈❤️😘 xxx

Unfortunately I found the lump in the middle of the night, whilst alone, on the very same day my husband was woken from an induced coma, after 22 days of being told every day that he had only a 10% chance of surviving. Unbelievably, we are both doing great. We are so thankful! I will just warn you, once the surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy are over, once you’re back to ‘normal’, be prepared for the sense of anti-climax, even depression, and above all the fear of it returning. I’m not saying this to make you feel bad. I’m saying it because no one warned me, and it was a bit grim! Mine is called triple negative, metaplastic, fibromatosis like, breast cancer. It’s incredibly rare. I’m only the 69th person diagnosed with it, since the World Health Organisation recognised it 12 years ago. It’s a good cancer, as the survival rate is 94%. One other thing, the radiation seems to add a few lumps and bumps. They aren’t tumours, but they can be unnerving. Your breast cancer nurse is your best friend. Keep in contact with her / him… always. Finally, feel free to message me via messenger . Happy to help 😊😘 xxx

@@traceybanting3952 mine was colon. Big in the news in the uk at the moment. My nurses are lovely. I had my op and treatment privately at Nuffield hospitals. The local NHs or government hospital offered me 12 week wait until op 😧. So I saw a private consultant who wrote to my insurer and doctor and tansferrred me to his care. I had op 3 weeks later. Out in 2 days. Running again in 2 weeks. Have to say chemo knocking me though. I can appreciate all you are saying. I feel I’ll never be carefree again.

Yes definitely that it is how I'm so used to weaning jeans myself but even me, queen of the front tuck, has decided to abandon it for Gwen here as ahe had a tum she is hiding. Many of my audience asked for non tuck options. If you look at Gwen's last adventure she was persuaded to tuck in 😀

It's a migration out and lots in my community will still wear them. Just needs other aspects of the outfit to be modern. I deliberately left skinnies here as many are preferring to still wear them, for the moment. However im more a straight and looser jeans person, particularly cropped. However Gwen was not there yet in this video. More to come on that as we migrate her comfort zone.

That crew cuff always catches on my side and comes undone. The chunky boots with the rolled up jeans looks like you're trying too hard. I would rather have the cuffed jeans with the sneakers. But that's just me.

No no. We thought they were but there seems to be a rebellion. Mom jeans were in and i wear those, but now its skinny again and straight. Im now dated in my mom jeans. Says me, the great proponent of abandon the skinny last year. Ive had to eat my words. They are going nowhere yet.

Different body shapes need different style jeans. If you find one that suits you don’t ever let fashion dictate that you can’t wear it. Being in the latest trend is never a good look if it happens to be a style for a different body shape.
