THIS! This is the content I would love to see more of! I like the 'management discussions' and Kickstarter organisation behind the scenes, but the videos detailing the craftsmanship and ins and outs of woodworking is what made fall in love with the channel.

For those interested, fluorescence is the process where a material absorbs light of a certain wavelength (color) to then re-emit light of a different wavelength (color).
@ChrisBigBad
@ChrisBigBad 2 года назад
Right. Everything that glows under black-light does so due to fluorescence. So I might guess that the laser is UV (black-light) and the wood stays dark, while the chalk goes bling.
@shalimarlake7852

@@ChrisBigBadI was going to question how it stays accurate with such a thick line, but really it's just determining what lengths you can get out of it, so millimeters and fractions of an inch don't matter.

Just to copy everyone else on here, I really enjoyed this video. I really appreciate coming away having learned something, and in this case a whole lot of something. It was super interesting to see how the table parts come together. I hope you're going to do a follow up video in PA to show the finishing process as well.

I'm watching this while on my computer on my MGT desk and it's cool to look at what is being explained and then see that on my table, It goes to show the whole handmade aspect of the table and makes me appreciate the work that was put into it.

Excellent episode! ..And just want to say, this stuff does NOT get boring. Lofty Pursuits grew a massive channel saying the exact same candy making process over and over again in literally every video. That might be a bit much for Wormwood, but please do not be afraid that this stuff will get boring and repetitive. It absolutely will not.

dude, this company is SOOO different from how it was 2 years ago, or even 1 year ago. they have SOOOO many more machines now compared to what they had back in the day when wyrmlyfe started and they were doing a lot of the work by hand. I am reminded of a quote by Doug, "By the end of this, Wrymwood as a company will be either transformed, or die". That's not exactly what he said, but that's pretty much the gist of it. Im here to tell you, you guys transformed. You can handle SOOOO much more volume now.

Hey Wyrmwood! It’s wild how much I’ve enjoyed watching y’all grow as a company. As a community we’ve seen y’all expand and expand band I feel like I always get lost in the seeming endless void that is your two factories. Is there a way you could do a factory(or factories) layout to explain the layout and potential efficiency in space y’all work with on the day-to-day? Much love!

Fluorescence is the decay of an excited quantum state to a more relaxed quantum state via a fast transition involving the release of radiation (light). Essentially, you hit the material with energy (typically light) and it will release light of a specific (and lower energy) wavelength (aka color)! So you shine white light (which has all wavelengths) at it, and get back a whole bunch of 426nm wavelength light, which the machine can recognize and distinguish from the color of paduk, which is a composite color
