Why would he be afraid? Doomguy wants to kill demons, he isn't a demon, and it's easier to help Doomguy then let him figure it out. Doomguy needs to get to a temple on Mars? Doomguy will just blow a hole into Mars. I'm sure this guy would have had an idea to get to it without blowing up Mars.
@@mattstorm360 That's a good point. Also yeah why be scared of Doomguy? As long as you don't get in his way, he should not gives 2 shits about seeing you around
Not afraid of the Doom Slayer, super friendly, is not afraid to die, has a smile even in the darkest of times, yeah just found my new favorite character.
He's either simping hard for Doomguy (understandable, as I think we'd all agree) OR he knows that if this doesn't work, he won't be able to run fast enough or far enough to escape anyway, so why not be the ONLY guy that didn't run when the Slayer needed a hand saving the universe... AGAIN.
I feel that he is a little happy, that there is someone who is helpful, usefull and without back thoughts, who do everything that is needed, without bullshit.
Intern knew what doom slayer was capable of as he met him in the base game. He was part of the higher level research projects so he definitely has some knowledge of doom slayer's motives. Also, intern's the only person to offer help to the doom slayer selflessly. Samuel and VEGA only helped the doom slayer to further their own agendas. If you've noticed that codex entry on the DLC, it has a picture of samur and the father standing side by side while casting someone looking like doomguy off a cliff. Doom slayer understands the cycle must be broken or the father will awaken, cast him off like the previous dark lord and repeat the cycle eternally until someone like him comes along and breaks the cycle. To do this, he destroys the fathers life sphere, damning samur to transfiguration and revives the dark lord instead in order to kill him and stop the demonic invasion entirely.
The intern is a spitting image of what makes us human and I love him for that.. In the grand scale of things, even though he's so puny he can help out and make a difference, his human curiosity for the dark lord, rather than flee he stays to fight against something bigger than himself and he's humble about it too.. All the good in humans represented in this one off character.. We may never be as powerful as the doomslayer but we can all be that intern.
Dommguy: (Retrieves Dark Lord's life sphere). Everybody else: "RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!" Intern: "I still haven't completed my 20 hours this week, so I'll stay and send you to Urdak to resurrect the Devil Himself and kill him... I really need this job."
At this point this shouldn't be much of a surprise. Almost every human on Earth praises the DooM Slayer, and judging from the what the DLC has provided us, the Intern probably does too, just not at a religious level. He's willing to help the Slayer out even though he's just an intern
@@filds1 The demons are still on Earth. A lot of them infact. The easiest way to stop the demons is killing the Dark Lord because if the Dark Lord dies, all the demons outside of Hell will die. It won't just benefit Earth but all realms.
@@sabertx3273 It's not like you can see much, just check out any of those helmetless Slayer videos :D They hid a lot of expressions under there, even for the parts of the face you can't even see
"Nobody even knows what The Devil looks like." Well, biblically, demons are fallen angels, and judging by angels's biblical depictions, he likely isn't pretty...
@@localtrickster4516 Probably both. I'd go with both. That or for some damn reason he really is like the Dark Lord here and just Rip and Tear your mind.
Intern: Listen, whatever we do...I’m in. You want to wake the devil not so you can help the demons, it’s so you can kill their leader, once he’s taken physical form, and that’ll destroy all of them...for good...right? Doom Slayer’s only response in his thoughts: bruh 3:15
My overall experience with this DLC -That giant fucking tentacle I watched to much Anime to know where this is going -They're everywhere, fucking everywhere -Take that double teaming Marauders -This is a Marauder massacre -I hate Summoners with a burning passion -And they don't stop coming ,and they don't stop coming, and they don't stop coming -"Wait another DoomGuy and i have to fight him.................................BRING IT ON" proceeds to show. "To be continued text". Wait NO! I HAVE TO FINISH THE FIGHT, FAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK - Also the Intern is without a doubt the best sidekick DoomGuy can ask for. He's straight up hilarious with his fanboyish behavior but can you really blame him. Overall I think this a great DLC that will definitely get you back in the mood to Rip and Tear. The only flaw I can point out about this DLC was that its to short and by the end it just left you wanting more.
He isn't bad. The Father would have healed him and likely prevented Hell from doing anything further.. but it would only have been temporary. For thousands of years? Millions? Don't know. However it wouldn't have HELPED Hell. The problem is then that the Doom Slayer couldn't have instigated this fight against the leaders of hell and at best would only keep fighting the normal peons. Doom Slayer wants to *end* hell. You can't do that if God prevents you from doing it. The likelyhood is that in physical form, The Father is indeed stronger than Doom Slayer. He was already vastly stronger than the Devil. However destroying the orb will likely prevent The Father from ever taking physical form again.. thus it will be up to Doom Slayer to prevent Hell from ever doing any shenanigans again. Hayden/Samur is not evil. A bit selfish, but still was trusted by God himself to do all the things he has done. Above even the Angels that follow rules to the letter and summon Satan himself straight away without question when Doom Slayer brings the sphere.
Might be that the glasses are actually goggles for protection and the baldness is because it's supposed to be the same thing that the military does? That's what I'm thinking
I actually remember that the designers talked about how, in scenes with humans, they deliberately separated them into "nerds" that the Doomguy protects and doesn't bother and "jocks" that he pushes around and threatens (mainly the UAC security guards from the station orbiting Mars).
I believe Samur is able to stand there because it's technically a part of Urdak that fell into hell. That is also why the demons couldn't retrieve the dark lord's life sphere. Why they were unable to retrieve it after the seal was broken? I'm not sure. It probably has something to do with the trials you have to do beforehand.
@@emilioedj well joke aside, it is still divine ground so demons can't just reach it, and since it's divine ground maybe Samur could set foot to that specific location. As for the sphere, i think it's simply forbidden for even Maykrs to touch (or maybe it applies to all mortal beings, including demons), even the ones standing in the resurrection chamber didn't directly hold Davoth's sphere. Only Slayer actually held it, but that's most likely because he has Davoth's essence in him
@thecommentguy9380 Ah, you're probably right about the sphere. Only finished Ancient Gods last night. I've been diving into the lore recently. Still learning
im pretty sure that's what they wanted hayden: "you can't do XXXXXX" vega: "ready to do XXXXX" hayden: "you cant do xxxxxx" this intern: "ready to do xXXX"
"Not really questioning DS and just along with for the ride.." I mean... what other rational option is there? What other any kind of option is there? Except immediate death, I mean.
Intern: So you want to kill the Demon Lord so that we can destroy all of them for good, right? Doomguy: ... Intern: Is that a yes? Doomguy: ... Intern: Can you hear me? Doomguy ... Intern: ...Hello?
I love how the Supervisor is so nervous while that Intern got more balls than every human in that room together. 2:50 Supervisor: **Panics and run** Intern: You need help with that? I love it, XD
Nah, far too scraggly for that. Besides, if we didn't have the Slayer, maybe our world would've never had a Doomguy at all - beyond the video games, that is.
No he must not. Doom Guy is the protagonist and still, no name. So it's obvious it's true allies must have no name. That's why we'll speak of him as Intern Guy
I feel like the intern is the guy that understands that doomguy only wants vengeance against the demons and would never fatally hurt a human. I respect that
Imagine putting "helped doomguy get to where he needed to save humanity" or what ever the short version of that is, onto a resume? I'd hire that dude. Good with tech, check, helped in a way save the universe? Check. Has balls more durable than steel? Check. Hired? Check. And before someone says it one day. Hotel. Trivago.
The Intern is obviously as smart as VEGA. He knows the best way to minimize the damage the Doom Slayer causes is to just help him out and keep the obstacles to a minimum.
Doomguy: ... Intern: "So you want your coffee to be black?" Doomguy: ... Intern: "...with... whip... cream? Okya, I'm not gonna judge" Doomguy: ... ("This guy knows me too well, I like him")
The intern is impossible to dislike lol he was literally perfect in this. I loved the humor he added to the DLC. Especially stumbling over his words when you land in the swamp. “That’s not what, ah, Doctor Hayden, the uh, Seraphin has requested of us, err you!”
Why would I even wanna criticize what Doomguy is doing? Big boy's got brains, and everyone seems to treat him like a dumb brute obsessed with destruction. It's unfair!
2:15 This is when the Slayer realizes that the Seraphim and the other Makyrs planned to use humanity and himself again as tools/servants, so his plans changed to what we saw in-game. Hayden should've kept his mouth shut.
When everyone ran, intern stayed next to doomguys side. That was the day that he took him in as a son. Together, they ripped and tore through hell, saving the world.
The intern- he is a man of Science and logic, who has embraced Doom Slayers ideals of “F*ck it I’m doing this now, Forget and possible consequences this may lead to.” And we of the Doom community love him for this, carry on you nerdy badass you!
