I finally took the plunge and bought a small sailboat, a 1980 Catalina Capri 25.

Congrats. I did the same last year. I see that you already got the first point of the concept, it takes quite some time to maintain ! :D Today it's my spring cleaning day! But it's worth the effort when you can enjoy good sailing after.

Damien 360 Thanks, man. Yes, a lot of maintenance. I'm already planning to restore the wood trim and repair a leak topside in one of the windows. BOAT - Bust Out Another Thousand. Haha.

I've seen a lot of videos...about sailing...about drones, and not that this should mean anything coming from me, but you're video is very good! I watched a solid 8 minutes. It's tough to keep anyone's attention for 8 minutes anymore. Great editing.

gjferg Thank you for the very encouraging comment! I watch lots of vlogs too. There is a lot of junk out there, so I try to spend a good amount of time on editing mine to make them somewhat enjoyable/bearable. It's definitely a work in progress. Thanks again!

OK, we bought a Capri 25 in Annapolis...We worked on it this past weekend, decided to go to Cantlers for dinner...While driving my daughter starts freaking out...Its YOUR boat docked on the creek next to Cantlers!!! So cool! We sail out of Annapolis on 4/8, and Im gonna film it w my drone...

Jim Disomma Hey, Jim. Yes, my boat is parked next to Cantler's. I took the boat out yesterday. I'm actually selling this Capri b/c I bought a bigger Beneteau 38. I think I have some buyers who test drove her yesterday. I like the Capri 25. Very fun boat. Happy sailing. Hope to see you on the water this Spring/Summer.

Lets see, paint the bottom one day and in the water next. I'd say based on your weather it was far from dry. And, wear you flotation device

Thanks for watching. That particular paint says it can go full immersion after 16 hours dry time. For ablative paint you actually want it to go into water fairly quickly after painting (as long as you follow minimum dry times per manufacturer). I am very happy with the product. Still looking great.
