A woman whose opinion I respect told me, "Don't make the mistake of listening to the words coming out of a woman's mouth, pay attention to what she's SAYING." If you concentrate on the emotion being expressed and disregard the language she's using you can address whatever the problem is. This has been a huge help for me, not just in dating but in female co-workers and other interactions.

I know this is old, but Great advice! --Women process information OUT LOUD, so about 75% of what's said has zero meaning. --We talk through our problems. That's why most feel better afterwards & are NOT seeking input just trying to sort it out themselves. Most women will correct themselves several times during the course of 1 brief conversation. --That's why there's more videos of chicks being asked questions on the streets. You get to hear the entire train of logic & now it's insanely hilarious/tragic bcuz they're all adding non-existent, unrelated variables.

She better in terms of functionality than when I met her but I deserve a medal after the hell she put me through. Privacy was non existent and everything was for other’s approval. So bizarre. This is why I noticed as far back as high school (30 years ago) the bigger the sl*t a woman was, the more womanese she speaks. I didn't know the word "womanese" of course. I just noticed that 304 women always had to twist a situation to make themselves feel like they were a victim, they were innocent, they somehow weren't the aggressive 304 that they were. This is why the majority of the "me too" crowd was 304's. I don't see how this a remotely controversial observation. You can argue that it's good, bad, or somewhere in between, but the reasoning behind this universal cultural norm that only our culture deviated from in the last few decades is what it is. Observing that it exists, why it exists and what the overall outcomes are is not hypocrisy. Also from a practical standpoint, if all women were controlled in that manner, precisely how would men be able to do what you are claiming they do? It's also not practical for a society to only control male sexuality and not female sexuality. That's what we're attempting to do here and now, and it is a total failure. Traditional societies controlled both. This is a classic Pavlovian dog response from you. She started to go into this diatribe about stuff that had nothing to do with the question. I asked her what she does for work, she says she's getting to that. Mean time I'm like she's just trying to stone wall me. about 3-5 minutes later, she finally says "I don't want to tell you". That's what I thought at the start, however as soon as she talked about his money I understood that it really meant this : The date went well = he wasn't a total psycho and he looked decent, she wouldn't be ashamed to be seen with him. Despite this she simply wasn't attracted to him, he doesn't seem to be her type at least physically speaking and there was no chemistry on her side however he was loaded so she had sex with him to "test him" as she said meaning test to see if she could stand to do the deed even without the attraction so she could get the money and the status if he were to marry her. Now she is desperate and genuinely seeking advice because she found the gold but cannot dig it no matter how much she tries to.

@@Patrick-857 I don't think so, well at the point where she mentions his wealth yes for a minute she can't help it but if it were mainly about the bragging she would have led with that, she would have minimized the lack of chemistry and all the critics over his appearance. it would have been something like : She went on a great date with this nice, smart and accomplished guy who has this great appartement. He's so into her and he let many hints drop that he is already thinking about a ring. Well of course he's not perfect you know, after all nobody is after all and she's so awesome for being understanding and accepting of his limitations. Starting with all that's lacking and putting so much emphasis on how unappealing the guy is doesn't make him good bragging material. I think she was genuinely distressed that she found a golden goose but he's so unappealing to her she can't imagine how she would stand going for him and she's scrambling for a solution. the 10 seconds of bragging are almost second thought and habit and not the focus. At least that's my read on her.

I recently realised coffee is a womanese euphemism too. There are so many dating profiles where a women's one word answer to everything is 'coffee'. It doesn't make any sense. I mean surely they don't think that men are looking for a 'coffee drinker'? Their dating profiles are otherwise boring AF. But once you realise coffee is a euphemism, it takes on a whole new meaning and it becomes fun to read a woman's dating profile. I look forward to holding a conversation about coffee in the future.

Only addition: the speaker is at all times convinced to be free of emotion and think of themselves as exceptionally logical, even when they’re highly emotionally disregulated and missing every rule of logic and fact. You will never be in a position to point that out though, because this false belief will be the only stable thing about their psyche.

That was most entertaining ! Being an older guy I have tried learning womanese. I could never reach proficiency, let alone fluency. Though word meanings can defy logic, I notice they also change depending on situation. A very hard language to master. A funny illustration would be a GF commenting that a trip we made three years prior was not enjoyed by her because of me. I asked why she didn’t let me know at the time and she said she didn’t feel she could ( this was obviously my fault too ). She couldn’t give more details. She then asked if I would like to join her on another road trip she was planning. I declined, not wishing to hear in another three years of another failure to please. What’s strange is that from the start in any relationship, I always emphasize the need to keep everything ‘now’. To allow no buildup of emotions. Somehow this concept is not known in womanese. They listen but will still focus on something from six months earlier which I can’t even remember. Most strange 🤔

Three years later she will complain that you didn't do anything but follow her around. Start by telling her you are NOT one of her girlfriends, or a friend for that matter - you are the boyfriend, which ranks you much higher than a girl-friend. A long time ago he made a video called "who hurt you" and he is clearly hurt by the reality of how relationships and women work although he denies it to a large extent. I am not saying he is necessarily wrong but it's clear he has strong emotions about this stuff. You can feel his frustration and anger through the videos he makes... Men and women are unaware of certain things at some points. I will say though, women lie A LOT about what they actually want and even though I know A LOT about what actually works I still don't fully understand if women explicitly lie or they are simply unaware of what they end up picking.
