Nice. I like it Tommy. The advantages as well is that, at a glance, you can also look at your phone will it's charging where as the OEM one is under the arm rest. Also matching the ambient lighting is a plus

Hey Tommy, for the plastic mount that you used to have on the passenger side, did you find the 3M VHB hard to remove? I have a full leather interior F80 and I'm worried that if I try to remove it, it will damage the leather.

Tommy, I thought this was a great product so I purchased and installed. On my first test drive, I took a right and my phone took a left right out of the holder while driving my M3. So I think I'll stick with my PopSocket mount that's very secure!

Hey Tommy I was wondering if you still sell the custom mud flaps; I live in nyc and I have a paint protection film already but I’m starting to find Little Rock chips around the rear wheels pealing the film slowly. It might be because I have spacers on my wheels, but it definitely needs mud flaps I confirmed today by running a experiment

At least you used the rennline mount that you already had, which I purchased. The rennline magnet is good enough for me. Did you install that lighted trim to your console. I never saw a video on that?

Perfect. I just got the Rennline mount, but wasn't sure if the ball was universal so I could swap out the magnetic mount for something like this. I assume that any phone mount that uses that ball joint would work with the Rennline?

@@TommyLGarage I currently have the one that mounted between the center vents which was the best spot! But because I just got two new analog gauges put in (on in each vent) the phone blocks the gauges view now so Im changing things up!

Do you keep the usb plugged in even when parked? Wonder if it’ll drain the battery as the red light seems to stay on after locking the car.

Yes. Plugged in all the time. It turns off when the car is shut off after 15 min or so.

How sturdy is this mount? I go crazy with noise in the cabin and the previous ones I tried rattle when hitting bumps even with a phone in it. I ended up taking it off completely as a result.

The only issue I have with this being a wireless charger too, is that it uses the usb connection that I use to connect my phone with to use Apple CarPlay. I know only expensive cats are able to use CarPlay wirelessly. Is there a solution for this?

Yes it's a great mount. My only problem is that sometimes I accidently forget to take my phone out and I'd hate the idea if it being visible to be stolen and widow being smashed to grab it 😒

Very cool, but slowly I'm turning back to cable charger as wireless charged simply are very inefficient, and charge too slow 😢 sometimes if going to a mall or something and need to charge my phone in a hurry, the wireless only adds 2-3% while cable charges 15-20%. Cool thing is you can do both at the same time and simply add cable charger when you want on top of the Wireless.

😁I'm also wondering since the link didn't work for me either, however, it looks similar to the iOttie Auto Sense Qi Wireless Charger. 👍🏾This is also paired with the product that is linked from Kies Motorsports.. So yes its two different products to purchase and around $80 depending if you have any of the mounting units already and also tools to pry the dash and screw bit 🤔

@@TommyLGarage it's about time. If you go with pures go with the stage 2 hf. The stage 2 plus is pretty laggy. Makes ALLOT of power above 4k but Unless you're doing drag racing it seems slower. The ps2 hf spool much faster and make power down low too

@@TommyLGarage I hope this integrates well with Rennline mount. I've never been a huge fan of magnetic phone mounts, but due to a lack of good alternatives for f80/82 I got Rennline.

ludak83 that’s so strange. Mine is sitting super tight. I wonder if it’s the rennline Mount issue. Have you tried it on other ball mounts?
