I Got Stuck On A Roof

I’m guessing by Kay’s parents’ reaction, their daughter probably got stuck on the roof more than once.

At 6:35, look at the ground near Rebecca’s feet. They literally made her SKID on the road. It is the ONLY time this happens from what I know of and it’s a pretty clever joke on how she doesn’t actually animate the walking and just puts them into a walking pose and moves them forward. The level of detail like THAT should be seen more often. It’s just TOO GOOD. >:0

A similar thing happened to me when I was a child living in a crappy apartment in Chicago. Since I was curious and wanted to explore the apartment I somehow managed to get to the roof through a shady turn worn out door. Unfortunately I didn't know better so once the door swung shut I could not open it. I spent some time trying to get some ones attention by yelling and waving my arms thinking that a pedestrian would see me. It took a while for one of my older sisters to find me.

Once during a sleepover with my friend Kseniia, she and my sister @✨Legendary✨ Axolotl (I’m not using her real name) went out on the roof of Kseniia’s house. This video made me glad I didn’t join them on the high, scary roof. Her window didn’t automatically lock when it was closed, but still. Yeah :) Also, this part concerned me: *If you jumped, you would hit and then tumble down a rocky hillside, so you know. I had e-coli and a burst appendix that wasn't found until after it popped, both before finishing elementary school, and a desk lamp exploded in my face in middle school. So I wasn't one of those teens that did dumb shit for attention. Of course the fact I'm an introvert who has about a half dozen friends, most of whom I've known since we were in diapers together is probably another factor.

Yeah, I was the same. I never understood why people did crazy and dangerous stuff and avoided such activities like the plague. However, there was one time when I did. In my old neighborhood, there were these older boys who had a younger brother that my brother was friends with. They were kinda the only boys around our age who lived on this street, so my brother's options were pretty limited if he wanted some neighborhood guy friends. I did not like these boys. Not because they were boys. But because they did a lot of stupid and dangerous things because they were "cool" and were kinda a bunch of jerks. Honestly, I wasn't alone in my disliking of them. My mom also didn't like these boys either as she considered them a bad influence, though she did let me brother play with the youngest of the boys since she understood that my brother didn't have many other friends in the neighborhood (aka, me). So long as we at least kept our distance from the older boys, things were tolerable. However, because I spent so much time with my brother, I also got to get the younger boy better. I still disliked him. I actually got so mad at him at one point because he was being such a jerk to me that I ended up screaming at him to shut up, "shut up" being something that was heavily implanted into us by our parents as being a "bad word". I ran to my mom in tears after screaming at him and told her what I did, terrified that I was in trouble but knowing that I needed to tell her what happened. She kinda just laughed at the situation and understood why I got so riled up, so I just got a pat on the head and was reassured that it was okay this time. This, however, was not the bad activity I go involved in. It was way worse. One day, I decided to ride my bike up and down the sidewalk. That's when I noticed that the boys were also riding their bikes. Not on the sidewalk. In the street. Now, we lived in a fairly quiet neighborhood that was totally kid safe, but my parents still heavily dissuaded us from ever playing in the streets. As quiet of a street it was, there was still a chance that we could be hurt or a car might run us over. I got nervous when I saw those boys doing all sorts of tricks on their bikes in the middle of the street, worried that someone was gonna get hurt. Then they noticed me. They all just ganged up on me and started "encouraging" me to ride my bike in the street with them. I tried to say no, but they wouldn't drop it. Eventually, I caved in to the peer pressure and rode my bike on the street like them. I didn't try doing any fancy tricks like them or anything. I just wanted to ride around and feel the wind in my hair. It was okay for a bit, but that's when disaster struck. At one point, I lost my balance and fell of my bike, badly scrapping up my knee and crying like a baby. None of the boys stopped to help me and just laughed and continued riding their bikes. These were like middle school (possibly high school) boys while I was still in elementary school, so I was honestly scared. Luckily, my brother came out of the house around that time and heard my crying. He rushed over to me and helped me get back to the house. My parents were horrified when my brought brought me into the house and saw my injuries. They laid me on the couch and asked me what happened. I was resistant to tell them at first, scared of how mad they'd be if I told them I had been playing in the street. My brother, being the saint that he is, didn't say a word about it as he didn't want me getting into any trouble either. However, after enough probing, I eventually told them the truth. They were very mad at me for breaking their rule about playing in the street, but were also quite furious with the boys who made me do it and then left me to suffer when I got hurt because of their stupid stunts. I was grounded for breaking the rule, of course, but my parents did also march over to the boys' house to give them a lecture about endangering their kids like that. After that event, my brother spent less and less time around those boys as he understood just how bad of an influence they were and didn't want me to get hurt again because of their antics. We eventually moved away and I've been much more careful about peer pressure ever since and my brother knows how to pick his friends better.

Now hold on a split second. So, Kay didn't have lots of friends. Kay climbed most frequently on that roof. Her parents went far out with tarp and shovels. Theory: Kay had a streak of (accidentally) killing her friends with this roof climbing endeavor and her parents were well adjusted enough to bury the bodies somewhere far off. So while you were on that roof with Kay, her last friend were given the old Kay family treatment. When they arrived back home, they weren't surprised to see Kay with a friend on the roof. They were surprised that you were still alive. You dodged a bullet there, Becca.

I know how it feels to be scared over the simplest things. When I was younger, I was afraid that all my mom would say to me was no, whenever I asked her if I could play on my computer, now I know my mom isn't like that, and never will be like that, but I was still very, very afraid despite how my mom actually is.
