Used to watch the videos at the beginning with the fruit and veg then stopped as the content wavered. I came back today and watched the 4 most recent videos from December ish 2021 and it’s sad to say but I’m not overly impressed. There is obviously quite a bit of animosity that’s been created between yourself and some of the viewers. I don’t believe in costing you your job or place with the agency but I also don’t think some of the comments made should be posted….. but then that’s my opinion and I’m not offended, it’s just not stuff I’ll be watching which is a shame as the original stuff was really inspiring
Why would you not let your mrs stay in an hotel without you? I genuinely don't understand - and the only reason I can think of is that you are worried she would play around, if you think that about her why be with her anyway? Just be with someone that you do trust... (I mean that really sincerely also mate)
The best advice I can give with depression is to get down the gym. You might not be a gym person, you might not care about fitness at all. But the second you start working out you will also feel better mentally. I was in a bad place about 5 years ago so I dragged myself down to the gym.. within a week I felt better all round. Maybe it was because I was getting out the house and not sitting in a room of misery.
It's possible that the guy who was irked about the possibility of running in on a Saturday was just venting to you and had other issues on his mind. I wonder if you shouldn't have called him out Infront of the planner, sounds like an awkward situation that caused him to lose face?
If your partner wants to spend a weekend away in a hotel for a break that's up to her you can't dictate to her what she can or can't do , just not fair , or you have no trust in her , thousands of girls go away for a break for whatever reason , this is a bit like controlling her not fair at all , just my thoughts
Deady as much as I enjoy your vids I must disagree with your setting boundaries' would call this controlling behavior and is more of a trust issue with yourself.Its more of a lack of confidence in youself.Anyways this is not a hate comment and I wish you well for the future.
Did sound odd, but he then expanded later to say they go to bed together ... so thats the boundary, which may not be a controling thing than more a security and actually weakness thing, not that Deedy is necacerilly weak, just sentimental.
Blimey, the hotel thing is a bit strong! I've been in hotels 3 nights a week with my job, and you sort of did the same, although your "hotel" was a truck cab. That doesn't sound like a boundary; more a lack of trust.
Came across you yesterday, and you already have helped me. Iv had allot of interviews recently and have struggled with confidence and self belief. I think that people come to you with mental health issues is because that video that you did a while back really hit true for a lot of us and you just have this way of cutting through the bullshit and saying what you want to say, which many of us struggle to do. You just have a way of reaching us and making sense of the turmoil that goes on in our minds through our similar experiences. You're a good lad and these types of videos really do help.
Hi Deady, interesting video, I am a recent new class 2 driver, when I was going through the theory and training etc, there was so much negativity about my new career choice, however your videos, plus some other you tubers were like a fresh of breath air , showing some actual positivity and enjoying the job . I have gained a lot from your instruction type videos , Curtains tachos etc, so thank you for these. You are an entertaining person. You have said the job is easy money and lots of money too, so unsure why you want to choose another career , but on the other hand I do understand, you are young and hungry for new experiences, I think you would make a great counsellor with the necessary training. There is nothing to stop you doing both jobs , be a hgv driver and a counsellor if you want, or if you end up not liking the counselling you still have your hgv licence to fall back on. With the counselling be aware you will probably hear some pretty distressing things that you can't just switch off from at the end of your shift. Love the tips you have given, you are bang on about confidence , being confident draws people to you. Re boundaries , you are right , don't understand the hotel one though, but that's your personal thing fair play . One thing for me thats a boundary which I don't deviate from ...is in an argument etc, the girl can say whatever she wants , anything goes , however saying its over ... only say that if you mean it and its permanent ... probably a bit strange sounding that, but that's my quirk. I have recently chucked the cpc and tacho card in the cubored, just had enough of the industry, i love the driving side of it but the planners, management just made my job more stressful, so I'm now driving a little van delivering staircases, lovely little job, do what you have to do matey, you only get 1 life, spend your time here wisely

Passed about a month ago and have already worked a couple jobs and I am loving it. You've been a big inspiration to me and your advice and education videos have been a huge help. I've thought about leaving the industry recently myself, mainly because I feel I don't have much of a life throughout the week and I'm a day driver. If I could fall into a job with normal hours, similar pay I'd snatch at the chance. All the best in whatever you decide to do brother 👍

Try looking at the private hire apps, Uber etc etc. Don’t believe what you hear about them either. It’s a decent paying job and you pick and choose your days and hours around having a life. I’ve been doing it for coming up 8 years. I love it and you are your own boss

Good video m8. I think we need more of these videos. More men are suffering from mental health issues for a variety of reasons and it is good to see that you are addressing them. Men are supposed to suffer in silence. I think it will be a good idea for you to make more and more videos about these topics. Being an hgv driver myself I have come to this understanding that quite a lot of hgv drivers are going through pretty rough times within thier relationships and they find trucking as an alternative remedy to escape from the stress they going through.
Deady you do whatever you gotta do mate. Whatever makes you happy, just go for it. I went through a divorce two years ago after a 11 year marriage that was going no where & was dead in the water. and although it was tough on me as my two boys at the beginning, looking back now it was the best thing I ever did and I wouldn’t have it any other way👍🏼
He’s leaving because he’s realised that in order to earn well (30k and above) in the industry you have to work long hours and have very little time for yourself and for family…….the excitement of getting behind the wheel of a big motor soon wears thin, he’s always been one to say it’s easy money driving a unit (sitting on ya arse and getting paid) which is technically true but to earn decent Money you will have to kiss a massive part of your life away and spend more time in a truck then the house your paying for.
@@Stu81 surely for anyone like myself or deady for that matter who have no real professional outlook, ie from building trades have no chance or little of earning bug money without doing long hours full stop, whether in a lorry or out to earn good money youll be putting in the work to get it
@@ryanneill6362 i personally think deady has massively misrepresented the industry by making out its easy and the money is good, it’s not! That 2-3k should be spent on getting a trade like brick laying or plastering, I went from from class 1 to plastering, it’s exactly the same progression, just like with HVG driving you have to build up experience for 2-3 years to get the higher paid jobs, I worked for 2 small building firms working 7.30 to 4.30 building up my experience for 2 years before going alone, I have earned over 40k a year for the last 3 years since going alone, first year alone I earned 32k, I’m always home before 5, never wake up before 7, on average I do 2 half days a week, I take days off when ever I like. I feel sorry for the people that have said that they have gone out and got their class 2s because of deady and after 3-4 years will most likely regret it after getting over the excitement of driving big motors when that time spent getting experience in a truck could be put into a trade that’s actually going to earn them a decent wage at reasonable hours, but that’s just my opinion obviously.

Not having a go or anything just curious on other points of view, ive done construction work from i was 13/14 left school at 16 and got a trade doings electrics, money was decent but being out in all weather on different sites all day and the workload i would say was heavier for me anyway in construction compared to driving, im only new to driving passed class 2 a few weeks back and going to do my class 1
I started my Hgv journey and you give me guidance you passed because of you I passed my theories. you have to do what you need to! I hope your ok and I just want you to know I followed you from when I was trying to learn about Hgv’s, since then I’ve followed you for entertainment your so down to earth and so relatable to me it is unreal! It's always been a dead end job, great idea, get yourself a trade, plumber or electrician, knuckle down for 4 or 5 years, then your off great value in jobs market, and to yourself, if you choose to work for yourself, you will enjoy the benefits of self employment, nice house,car, holidays, and something money can't buy, self worth. Driving you are just living from pay check to pay check, or as they say pissing against the wind

To say I'd be gutted not keeping up to date with your shenanigans on the road would be an understatement mate. Your videos actually gave me the drive I'd lost to try and get into the industry and now, thanks to that, I have my test in 3 weeks. Unfortunately as an influencer on RU-vid you open yourself up to so much criticism and unfortunately, the negative have finally ground the chirpy daft deady we all know and grew to enjoy watching. Your views on your videos say it all. Have you ever thought about going back down the lines of WS where you had plenty of variation (for the most part when not stuck on securafence) to see whether that picks you back up? Deady i have just come across you on RU-vid in the last 48hrs and have watched tons of your videos so far because im a builder but going down the route of hgv. You have boosted my confidence and i can't stop watching uour vids. Sod the haters mate but i think you already know that, stay strong and look after yourself.
I been worked average 60 hours last weeks, no time to nothing else during the week, still need travel 45 min to work from my house, just start think to work 4 on 4 off, 3.5 days a week average 35 hours a week, lidl delivery, I'm now doing containers, someone can advise if is good ideia change, I'm £14 now in container, £17 lidl store delivery

Honest and straight as usual. I may not agree with all you say but I have massive respect for your honesty. There was some very good personal advice in there for those whose view of themselves is not always positive. By the way you may be the fast car nerd of your relationship but here my wife has got us both beat as she has just had a 500hp Mustang, but she does let me borrow it. So just got to keep her sweet by following some of your past advice, such as slap her on the arse and told her I loved her which was one of yours. Life is too short got a dream just go for it. Been driving dust carts for 5 years now love it 13 quid an hour soon to go up, no tacho home indoors by 2pm latest. Coming up to the Christmas period tips galore and bonus of 500 quid. Landed the job at the right time as was thinking of jacking it in as well after 22 years driving hgvs

Started watching your videos and then got my class 2. Love driving a HGV. However, been working only 2 weeks. Been at a company a week walked out underpaid agreed rate. Been working at an agency a week, thinking about leaving. I hating the disrespect you get due to being a new pass, ever since the drops get complete. With the agency done a simple night trunking one drop parcels from manchester to london then back for three days straight, all fine. Sold be a promise this company looks to take you on if you do well. get a call 4th day stood down (no pay). 5th day stood down (no pay). I get a call from agency they wanted an experanced driver instead. Even since I did the job as it is surpose to be done. I have done not even 2 weeks of work starting to hate it even since I love driving HGVs.
As I've come out of an abusive relationship as well mate I'd like to hear your story I wasn't allowed to see my family or my friends not even my mom and dad

im not into support videos so i hope you stay a trucker,at 55 i turned to agency driving,you may know the agency they were based in runcorn [ driving edge] i did six months and basically i was sick of being a lackey so i took a permanant job at a local hauliers on bulk tipper work,and i retired there and i felt part of a work family,i guess what im saying is avoid agencies,take a job with a hauliers and soon you get to know the crack and there will be minimal stress,and you will have a job whilst you look for a better one,anyway son i wish you all the best in your new endeavours and im still subscribed so ill see yer later.[ ps , im john shelton retired truckers garage is my second channel].

True what you say about looking out for yourself, and that sometimes you have to accept that differences won't be made when standards are set high. I'm a former teacher, I have dyslexia and dyspraxia, manifests itself in taking me longer to get paper work done etc, I can;t possibly go into a job and say "I know everyone else teachers 22 classes a week, I can't do that many but still want the same pay".. life simply doesn't work like that despite the laws which have been brought in. Anyway. Hope it works out for you, stumbled across your channel and followed as I'm a 30 something (just) Boltonian, just wish I had your confidence :p Also, a bit of good perception with regards to the other person "leaving the industry".. Deady I've enjoyed your videos and you were always enthusiastic about hgvs and the industry which sometimes didn't go down to well in the latter stages 😀. However, sometimes you need a break, if you're getting hate on your platforms turn the comments off for a bit and protect your mental well-being not just for you but for your kids.
