GOT Season 3 Episode 9 | The Rains of Castamere --- Social media stuff: allmylinks.com/imlegenbarry Gaming Channel: / @legenbarrygaming --- #reaction #highlights #Gameofthrones
Not to mention the silence at the end, poor Barry. I was full on sobbing the minute they stabbed Talisa in the stomach. I cried for an hour after that episode while my parents laughed at me because they had already seen it once before and knew what was coming
fr. my first watch i didn’t even notice 😭 after rewatching the series i was just like “how did my past summer child-self, not notice all the foreshadowing” even with ned, it’s honestly amazing how you can see every *little* action aligning to create the events we know now
Right I love the lore so i tried to learn as much lore as possible once I started watching the show but to be honest i kinda started suspecting something when Roose Bolton let Jamie go.
@@scottwilson6029 First time I watched I didnt even know what rain of castamere was, it was strange for me to see Catelyn Stark looking at the musicians after the doors were closed, but I didnt link it to the Lannisters
I wonder if he remembers the story about that song though. Would've been cool to include a flashback to when Cersei tells the story to Marge (cause the flashback to the scene with Jaime was cool and I've never seen another reactor remember it).
@@HiuchiKiyokoIf I remember correctly, he mentioned it in the beginning when he saw the title of the episode. He was immediately nervous and mentioned something about Margaery. I think he thought it applied to her because of her convo with Cersei.
That’s actually pretty interesting. I never heard someone say “she knew Rob was dead cause they killed the wolf”. Love that analogy. Aweeeee I wanna give u a hug ❤❤❤❤
ygritte was still loyal to the wildlings. when she missed her shot and hit the tree it was because jon called her name and distracted her and she looked back at him and was pissed. then, right before he rode off, he watched her murder an unarmed innocent old man in cold blood. he loved her, but he couldn’t remain with her and stay true to his vows.
Honestly, i wish more reactors would just sit in the silence they wish to, afterwards. Silence can mean so much, it's exactly why there was no end credit music. Best react award goes to ..☝🏾❤️
Reaction channels owe so much to this episode. They existed beforehand, but this is what birthed the majority of them, akin to putting fertilizer in your garden and seeing everything pop up left right and center.
😢😭 it's been YEARS and I'm still not over them stabbing that woman's baby in the womb. I remember one of the old heads in my family saw this episode. He just kept yelling "THAT'S A CURSE! YOU CAN'T KILL SOMEONE IN YOUR HOME AFTER YOU OFFER THEM SAFETY AND FOOD!! THAT'S A CURSE!!"
11 years on since watching this the night it aired, and it still cripples me no matter how many times I see it. There are VERY few cases of characters which I grew as attached to as I did to Robb and Catelyn. My brain still goes through grief stages and hangs around the bargaining step, contemplating the ability to live in some alternate reality where this story continues with them surviving and reuniting with Arya, and what I would do to make that happen. So painful. So good. Whatever opinions people may hold about where this show/story goes in its later years, the front half of the series remains a masterclass in storytelling, and cements the series as one of the absolute greatest productions ever to hit TV.
As much as I was looking forward to this reaction from you, I also knew it would be a really tough watch for you. No words needed, my friend. We all feel your pain😢
I’m so sorry. We’ve all been through it. You’ve paid the blood toll. You’re a man of winter now. I promise you: You will smile again, you will laugh again, you will cheer again. You will jump out of your seat with excitement, and fall in love with characters you still haven’t even met yet. Some of the best days are still ahead of you. Promise. ❌❤
Barry, my dude, it is very clear it's the first time you're watching. Please ignore the haters. Honestly, if anything, it just shows how much you pay attention. 💕
Jon couldn't bring a wildling with him back to the wall. They would kill her and possibly him as well. Even if they accepted her for some reason, she would be forced to fight against her own kind. And welcome to the Red Wedding, possibly the most brutally shocking moment in fiction.
It was suggested at the time Michelle Fairley lacked enough screen time to submit for award season. But this is such an acting masterclass. I wish she got nominated. On a lighter note, Rickon would excel at Hogwarts. Family tragedy? Check. Prophetic dream? Check. Pipsqueak? Check.
The Rains Of Castamere "And who are you?" The proud Lord said "That I must bow so low" Only a cat of a different coat That's all the truth I know In a coat of gold or a coat of red A lion still has claws Mine are long and sharp, my lord As long and sharp as yours And so he spoke, and so he spoke That Lord of Castamere But now the rains weep o'er his hall And not a soul to hear "And who are you?" The proud Lord said "That I must bow so low" Only a cat of a different coat That's all the truth I know And so he spoke, and so he spoke That Lord of Castamere But now the rains weep o'er his hall And not a soul to hear And so he spoke, and so he spoke That Lord of Castamere But now the rains weep o'er his hall And not a soul to hear and so he spoke (That Lord of Castamere) Lord of Castamere (But now the rains) weep o'er his hall (And not a soul to hear) And not a soul to hear RIP the Young Wolf, his mother, his wife, his unborn child, his friends and his father. The Red Wedding.
Jon pushed Ygritte to look like he was fighting her and didn’t want to bring her with him in case of endangering her, it’s a long ride to castle black from where they are and if the wildlings find them together they will kill Ygritte. Better to look like he wasn’t working with her and she didn't know he was a crow
I watched this series without knowing anything about it and when I saw this episode, I actually fucking cried. I loved Catelyn so much. Like I was genuinely mad. It completely ruined my day. Genuine shock and disgust and anger.
When I first saw this episode, my mother and boyfriend had already read the books and knew what was coming. They found it highly entertaining and I was just crying 🙃🖤
To say "I've been waiting for this reaction" is an understatement. And, man, did you go through it at the end. This was your OFFICIAL welcome to Game of Thrones.
it was a nice touch including the flashback before Roose put the knife in him, most people completely forget Jaimie said that and don't make that connection
The very episode that started the whole youtube reaction trend. Even now i get misty watching it. No shame in letting that tear out bro we were all shocked and gutted for a long time after. The fade to black with no music is also chilling to the bone.
Bro, Jon leaves Ygritte there for the same reason he knocks her hand out of the way when she's about to shoot an arrow at the other wildlings. Because he's decided it won't work for the two of them. He's still loyal to the Night's Watch, and she doesn't fit in that world, nor would she want to, as she hates the Crows anyway. By not letting her shoot an arrow into Tormund or the others, he makes it more possible for her to return to her people. You know he loves her, because he ripped the band aid off now; it'd be much worse for Ygritte to be estranged from the wildlings AND have Jon eventually leave her at Castle Black, which is what would have happened if he'd gotten her on the horse. He IS a Crow. Hence the line "you were right all along" as he kills old boy with the hawk.
Aww king Barry and the thug tear at the end 😞. I love future barry as well lol. Love you so excited and shocked giving us a play by play like we haven't seen it. It's like watching a sports commentary on a game .. when you say " Rob is done" I haven't seen her get hit "multiple" aww poor Barry.
cant imagine how shocking this was for people who didnt knew this was coming. i think this is one of the biggest what the f moments the books and show have to offer. Great reaction!
By the end of this episode, I was on my hands and knees staring at the screen with silent tears running down my face. I couldn’t speak. I went out and bought the books after this episode.
yes aria seeing the wolf die is a representation of rob dying, but in the books all the stark kids are wargs(which is how they're all able to keep wolfs as pets, only bran knows he's a warg tho) and wargs go into their animals when they die, so she did actually also watch her brothers soul die
It's not that surprising that you can guess Walder Frey is going to do *something*. The author does a good job of foreshadowing what is going to come. But if you can guess what is going to happen once the book material is gone, then that will be a feat.
I can honestly say that most of us were waiting on this episode. It's the most shocking episode of any TV show I've ever seen. I was gobsmacked the first time this aired. We know exactly how you felt during this episode. You're officially a man of winter. Please keep watching the show. It really gets better and better!
When this episode aired a lot of readers of the books filmed their unsuspecting friends' reaction. That's what made me watch GoT. I thought this must be one hell of a show if people are so invested in it!
You must've been speechless for a while with all those cuts at the end lol. I've been looking forwards to this episode for a minute; great reaction as always!
When Gilly says Sam is like a wizard because he can read .. in season one when Jon is chosen to be a steward and Sam is telling him that Joer wants to groom him for command, Jon says I always wanted to be a Ranger and Sam says he always wanted to be a Wizard haha .. and that look on Jorah face when they sack the city I've always thought it was because Dany didn't say anything other than where is Dario .. she shows no emotion of happiness or gratitude and relief that Jorah and Grey Worm are ok.. 👑
Been looking forward to this! Great reaction! We've all been there. I really appreciate that you pay attention to details and suspected Frey might do something bad and also recognized the Rains of Castemere and its meaning.
I know your reaction is genuine because no one who plans a reaction say some god over and over and no one says WTF over and over if you are acting. It is the first thing they tell you not to do when acting. It is the most genuine reaction people have. Your face was great ! I never get tired of red wedding reactions for this one reason. THE FACE!
