I’m 60, the fittest I’ve ever been, stronger than most guys half my age, and won’t stop doing stuff. Everything I do is an (still unsuccessful) attempt to defeat chronic spine/joint pain. The only time I’m not very uncomfortable, (if not in moderate+ pain), is when I’m working out, or moving around. Sitting, lying down, and sleeping are all extremely uncomfortable. Sitting can last up to about 15 minutes at best. My wife thinks I’m obsessed with being fit. Regardless of how many times I’ve explained, it’s about trying to defeat depression, that’s been initiated by the nonstop pain/discomfort. At this point, I’m sure when I can no longer move or stay active, it’ll be for a reason.🙏🙏🙏

Tengo 48 año, 3 meses 6 días. Y físicamente al día de hoy estoy en la mejor forma física en la que nunca había estado. Levanto en peso muerto 120kg, en press de banca 100kg, en sentadilla libre 130 kg, corro los 5k en 25 minutos. Los 200 metros en 28 segundos. Realizo 15 pull up's estrictas (not swing up's) sin soltarme de la barra. 100 abs en less 2 minutos. Y 70 lagartijas en 90 segundos. Nunca en mi vida había podido realizar todos esos ejercicios hasta que fui superando mis Goal's. Saludos cordiales desde Tulsa oklahoma 🥊

Paul, congrats that was impressive & motivating sir...i gotta start doing deads again. I stopped about 10 years ago due to a slipped disc injury. Once I'm cleared by my doc I'll get back into it....probably start really low with just the bar & 25's....i know thats light but its a start, right?

Definitely start light, and maybe even look at starting with a hex bar just to get comfortable with the motion again. Be careful and be smart. And remember, everyone is different, especially when it comes to lower back injuries.

I challenge myself by adding more weight to my hi-rep sets. May only get to 8 reps instead of 12, but mathematically moved more iron.
