100% working advice, Marcus! You absolutely nailed it! I can confirm that this is , by far, the most important tip in maxing your reps! By forcing your brain to keep going even when your body seemingly can't, you are building a stronger neuromuscular response => the brain "tells" the body to get stronger, burn fat and build strength and muscle faster. Your metabolism goes into overdrive. This is also, by far, the best way to lose fat. Forget about those countless hours on a treadmill / bike as well as millions of crunches. Just doing pull-ups, pushups, dips and squats every 3-4 days will burn all that fat and build your dream 6-pack! The second key aspect of this training, is providing enough rest! Very important not to push yourself too far - injuries can ruin your dreams. Kids and teenagers can probably do 1-2 days rest, while those of us older guys (40+) should give our bodies 3-4 full days to rebuild those muscles and ligaments. Healthy and balanced nutrition is the third cornerstone of this training. Thanks again Marcus, your advice is spot on! I'm finally getting close to 30 clean pull-ups. Wanna nail it down before I turn 42! Best!

This is a strategy to use sometimes, not all the time. You can only do failure, rest-pause and beyond failure training so often and have to couple it with good healthy rest and time off. Long term getting stronger means increasing intensity by making it harder/heavier or increasing volume by increasing sets and reps. Just doing one set past fatigue for the sake of failure and going beyond fatigue will prevent you from being able to do intense sets afterwards and also hinder your ability to work with higher volumes once you've gone so far past failure on the first set.

Marcus, great tips dude. Can you please clarify; would you only do one set of max reps then the 1/2, 1/4 and hanging etc, or would you do multiple sets with a rest period (60 seconds), but do the 1/2, 1/4 etc after every set? (i would have thought as you are going for fatigue, you would struggle to do anymore sets after the first one). Sorry I've not discovered your page till today (1 year later)

Awesome video. I have a question though, is fatigue considered as the feeling of your tendons almost ripping off the bone in your wrist/elbow? lol that's a serious question because that's usually when I stop (near numbness in arms) but I haven't really made much strength gains in the past 6 months. My diet/sleep is on point so I know it's not that, so it has to be my workouts. Would really appreciate an answer!

Humam Slayer Our body has to break down proteins into amino acids in order to absorb them. Fruits are full of amino acids. Proteins are very acidic to our body. We should avoid them.
