Indian Reaction to Lea Salonga - On My Own (Les Misérables) 

Thanks a lot for featuring this time the Disney legend and the pride and treasure of the Philippines Ms Lea Salonga..she is a good actress, great storyteller and she as they say " speaks in the right pitch", please react more to her other performances. She is the original version of the Disney production Aladdin " A whole New World" and "Reflection" from the movie Mulan. God bless!!❤️🙏🌹🇵🇭

Great reaction! Lea was the first Asian (and non-Caucasian) to play this part (Eponine) on Broadway in LES MISERABLES in 1993. (The Broadway show had already been running for about 5 or 6 years by that time.) Lea felt a lot of pressure to do a great job in the show since she knew that some people were waiting for her to fail so they could say that "colorblind" casting doesn't work. But, of course, she was amazing. She did short runs as Eponine in LES MISERABLES on Broadway, on the US tour (I think in Hawaii) and also in London. When the 10th Anniversary concert of LES MISERABLES came along in 1995, they cast Lea as Eponine (she is 24 years old here). That's the performance you were watching - from the 10th Anniversary concert. It's called the "Dream Cast" concert because it used several performers from the original companies of LES MISERABLES from either London or Broadway. There was a Broadway revival of LES MISERABLES in 2006 and when the woman playing Fantine left, Lea was brought in to replace her in 2007. In the 25th Anniversary concert of LES MISERABLES (in 2010), Lea played Fantine. She was one of only two performers who were in both 10th and 25th anniversary concerts and the only one to play 2 different roles. (Jenny Galloway played Madame Thernardier both times.)

Come on you two, this was pathetic. First what in the world was that really loud noise that was louder than the singer towards the end of the song? You should have stopped recording, waited for the noise to stop then start again from where you had to stop. What really bothered me is that from beginning to end of the song I heard nothing but "wow" from both of you. Normally, I am a huge fan of you two. This time I I found myself fighting to hear her sing between the constant Wow, and the background noise. I'm disappointed. Please try a little harder to think of us trying to hear.
