Harrison's endurance and passion really are something to be celebrated. Even if the movie doesn't live up to people's expectations, the time and audience were different in the early movies, and it's his enthusiasm that really moves it forward. The fact that he's been emotional surrounding, and so dedicated to, this role really reflects how much it means to him, as well as for those that really appreciate him.
And that’s why I’m watching it, this thing is so dear to his heart, how can that not be special in its own right? Plus who doesn’t wanna see Indiana jones one last time?

I'm writing from the cinema. The movie is good. The movie, which cost 300 million dollars, gives what is expected. I was very afraid that the end of the movie would end like the last James Bond movie. Thank God the director was merciful and did not make the mistake of the people responsible for the James Bond legend. He finished the movie well. In the movie, Indiana comes to the Aegean for a while :) From Türkiye with Love :)

Watched Indiana Jones and The Dial of the Destiny today and it was an amazing adventure, the perfect final ride for Indy 🤠 Thank you for making my childhood special Harrison Ford ❤

They could make further adventures in the near future. Harrison Ford could sell his likeness and voice (for a lot of money) and AI will be able to convincingly deage him
They should reprint the Indiana Jones novels in trade paperback or more of the Barnes and Noble leatherbound volumes. Barnes and Noble just reprinted the trilogy novelizations in a leatherbound volume. It’s very nice.

I hate how Indy feels like a side character in his own movie. Should’ve had short round and then we would’ve got a real Indy story cos short round didn’t steal the scenes, but without him the scenes weren’t the same. This girl takes the whole scene tho
How so? from the promo material Indy is clearly able to stand his ground and gets attention. I feel like the only part of the film Shaw will get more input will be scenes of intense action (since Ford is 80 and is limited in what he can do) but otherwise I don’t see Indy being a sidekick

@@RedZeshinXthe leaks are out and quite verified. Unless someone like Chris gore completely lied…. Two weeks before the film comes out (not a smart move). Also, seeing as how he was pretty much spot on for flash… I believe him.
@@edwardrichtofen8530 Isn't Chris Gore the guy who whined loudly after the new Predator film's trailer that it was going to be "woke agenda girl boss garbage", but then when it turned out to be a decent movie and return to form for the franchise he backpedaled hard removing his videos? I heard he's been injecting a lot of personal politics (i.e. right wing outrage culture) into his commentary of late leading to flubbed opinions that have driven away parts of his audience, good reviewers shouldn't be putting an outrage culture war cart before the horse of dispassionate objectivity. People like that have an axe to grind like a bad persecution complex and consequently imagine boogeymen around every corner, I'd take what they say with a big grain of salt.
@@RedZeshinX even if we were to say that is true, how does that invalide the events in the film? I can evaluate the events my self and judge how lame they sound. I don’t want to see a depressed sad indy. I don’t want to see another annoying strong headed female character that seems to be the only character females can be now in Hollywood. Also, are the Cannes festivals critics also political hacks? Jeremy Jahn? I’m guessing Chris stuck man isn’t one.
@@edwardrichtofen8530 There's a big difference between being an actual movie lover who honestly and independently reviews films based on their merits or lack thereof, versus simply being a partisan reactionary who seeks out films as a pretense to air persecution complex grievances about political boogeymen. Cannes critics are more the former, but from what I'm seeing these other "critics" you keep referring to fall in the latter category, they seem like sensationalist RU-vid clickbait peddlers of modern right-wing outrage culture inhabiting echo chambers where their angry worldview festers reinforcing and amplifying itself in the miserable company of similarly bitter people. You've clearly fallen into that cesspool yourself. Casually dropping hyperboles like "it seems females in Hollywood can only be annoying strong headed characters" says as much, personally the last few movies I watched were Dungeons & Dragons, Shazam, 65, Black Adam and Creed 3, none of which feature the strawman caricatures of some "subversive woke agenda" you're decrying, so that's absolutely an exaggerated perspective driven more by the circles you frequent and the dangled carrots you're motivated to chase than actual reality. As an independent I'm walking into the film without any preconceived notions, and all the critics I've read who have ACTUALLY seen the film (instead of wildly speculating about potential leaks through the lens of their own highly motivated biases) have either offered up middling or warmly positive reviews. Nowhere have I seen anybody lambasting the movie as a vehicle for shoehorned feminist messaging that disrespects and diminishes the franchise and kicks Indy to the curb. With that kind of mindset regardless of how the film turns out you'll already walk into it feverishly seeking nitpicks to distort into fitting that angry worldview, instead of seeing the movie for what it actually is. I mean, imagine if a classic film like Aliens debuted today, instead of having a blast watching Sigourney Weaver kicking the ass of an alien hive folks like yourself would be whining that Hollywood is pushing a feminazi agenda by having a "sTroNg WaHmeN" succeed where an army of battle-hardened space marine men fail. Ditch the sad and miserable people whipping themselves up into a hysteria of self-fulfilling prophecies of disappointment, disenchantment and displacement (sometimes for their own shrewd profit), just wait for the film to come out before getting all fussy like any normal human being.
He wasn't lazy, he's just outgrown this kind of filmmaking and didn't want to deal with the toxic fandom anymore like after Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Hell, he's not even directing and people like you are STILL whining, thanks for proving his point. 🙄

People who haven’t seen the movie: “This movie sucks, don’t watch it” Positive reviews: This movie is nostalgic heavy and CGI is a bit choppy in some places but overall a fun adventure. Negative reviews: There are some fun aspects to the film but too long and unnecessary. Also everything I’m hearing about Phoebe Waller-Bridge is positive.
Must be reading different reviews to me then. The best reviews say it’s a half decent nostalgia trip, the worst that Indy is shown to be old and useless at the expense of a strong female. If the ending people have mentioned is true, it’ll destroy the movie.
@@randr2141 "the worst that Indy is shown to be old and useless at the expense of a strong female" Stop listening to zero media literacy, reactionary YT grifters, they are not actual critics. This is always what they say when a movie has a female character co-starring with a legacy male character, and it's never been correct (no not even with the new Star Wars).
@@randr2141 "If the ending people have mentioned is true, it’ll destroy the movie." Lol that phoney spoiler has been long debunked and no one is taking over Indy in the past or the future. But it goes to show they type of haters this movie has that it's all about "woman replace muh hero"
There's no point in trying to reason with the haters, OP. They've decided this is the latest movie to fight their dumb culture war with and nothing will change that. Just hope that regular fans and the general audience don't get sucked into it.
@@randr2141 The reviews I have read have said exactly what I conveyed in my original comment. Nothing about Phoebe in a negative light, the chase scenes are fun and the prologue though a little CGI heavy was 100% Indiana Jones and yes I heard the ending was controversial so we’ll just have to see but I also heard most of the leaks were on a different planet compared to what’s actually in the film. but the reviews that I actually listen to are Kristian Harloff, Dan Murrell, Chris Stuckmann and Jeremy Johns. 3 of whom said it’s fun and a good Indy movie, not great but good. Point being don’t listen to reviews or leaks because most of the time they’re wrong and someone else’s opinion is not yours.
From what I heard and what I believe, I’m going to not like this movie. But I’ll show up for Harrison Ford. It’ll just fan fiction in my eyes, unless I actually like the movie. I don’t have high hopes though.

In a world of creation and art, One woman sought to play a part. Arrogant and full of pride, She set out to take the reins and ride. A franchise once so bright and bold, Now in her grasp, it soon grew cold. Jealous of the creator's fame, She sought to make it her own game. But in her quest for glory and might, She lost sight of what was right. Firing those who dared to disagree, She ruled with an iron decree. And as the profits slowly fell, She refused to listen and couldn't tell, That her self-insert characters were just a ploy, To make people love her and forget the joy. Now the franchise lies in ruins and disarray, Thanks to the woman who wouldn't stray. From her path of ego and disdain, She caused it all to go down the drain. So let this be a lesson to all, Who seek to rise but then do fall. Humility and respect go a long way, And can make or break a franchise any day.
Hahaha! This whole movie is designed to undo Indy and replace him with Fleabag. She's the hero of this film, and she's the one they're setting up for a series.
It should be called Helena Shaw and the Dial of Destiny. And why didn’t this come out Memorial Day weekend like the Indiana Jones movies it is tangentially related to? It would have had the benefit of a greater buffer between the coming summer blockbusters, mainly Mission Impossible.
@@benclayton-wolfindale9444didn’t happen? Sure want to say there were no reshoots for flash either? What fantasy world do you live in where a movie CONSTANTLY DELAYED wasnt reshot?
Just nope. Rather spend double to see The Sound of Freedom from Angel Studios. Will never give another dime to Disney! God's children are not for sale! SAY IT LOUDER!!!!

The best thing for Lucasfilm & Disney would be for Indiana Jones & the Dial of Destiny to fail at the Global Box Office! So badly... just like The Flash! So it can give everyone involved the reality check they need in order to start putting Agendas aside & get back to writing stories, characters & adventures that are loved by everyone & will always stand the test of time :D Like the first 3 Indiana Jones films :D Instead of creating movies that are destined for the bargain bins of your local Charity Stores aka Jock! Start The Engine! As it's time for Indiana Jones to say Goodbye for good :D

It was so bad, so god awfully boring. Nothing happens in the entire movie to make it feel like an Indiana Jones movie. It was so bad it made me question why I ever cared about the Indiana Jones character in the first place. The fleabag was more shoehorned into the script than Mutt was in the last pseudo Indy movie. The trailer informed us that theft was merely capitalism, so like a good capitalist I watched a pirated copy of the film, and it was such an abomination I still feel I deserve a refund.
