@@saranox7319 Good question! lol I think maybe instead of "ashamed" I'd use embarrassed or self-conscious. Anytime I know a girl has feelings for me, and I for her, I feel like a huge spotlight is on us, like everyone is suddenly seeing right through me and into my deepest self. So it's like I'm caught between that hyper self-consciousness, and also totally delighted that my partner knows me on such an intimate level. I think it's that vulnerability of opening up to someone you love that brings those powerful emotions up for INFPs. :D

@@saranox7319 Yes, exactly! Well said. It's difficult to let our inner feelings show, even though INFPs generally experience very deep/strong feelings. So yeah, it's scary and delightful all at once!
I wish I loved some ppl more in better ways & some others, a lot less.. Practice certain things until it became habitual even though I didn’t see it’s immediate benefits because it will still aid & “spillover ripple effect” into other areas of passion which requires much needed stability & confidence.
Speaking as an INFP, I think something about that woman is very magnetic and attractive. Not just physically, but her demeanor and the way she carries herself and understands him and can communicate on his deep and also lighthearted level is very intriguing. She can kind of just open him up, and he can meet her on both levels that she can communicatem The NFJs: ENFJ/INFJ are very captivating and interesting in my opinion. They are the types I feel the deepest connection to.

I think also that the introverted extroverted duality and perciever judger brings out the inferior functions, while the NF complements the strong functions and is the foundation for the connection. I've never watched the Spider Man movie, but I can sense their chemistry offscreen. The INFP has a mysterious, dreamy charm, while the ENFJ has a bright, cheery, magnetic personality, yet also a deepness and caring supportive side and that draws us in like a moth to a flame if you know what I mean hahaha. * sara * I can't speak for everyone, but for a lot of us, above all, it is the connection that drives INFPs crazy. We often feel misunderstood and alone, so when someone "gets" us and can meet our level of depth, we can't help but get enough of you. Again, it's why I find ENFJs and INFJs so magnetic above the other types I've come across. The guy in this video was clearly drawn in by the woman's way of speaking as you pointed out. If you have that, you are miles ahead of the competition. That's one of the best ways to win us over male or female hahaha!

I think there is a particular attraction between INFPs and ENFJs. I am an INFP and I discovered throught the Mbt test that all the girls I feel attracted with are ENFJs. Incredible.
Same, I met an ENFJ some time ago and I just instantly felt attracted to him. I had no idea why so when I too discovered about MBTI personalities and about ENFJs I finally understood it all xdd

ENFJs and INFPs are really in tune with each other as well, it’s easy to understand where the other is coming from even in arguments and we generally have the same goals and outlook on life. In a lot of ways, INFPs can make up for the lacking of ENFJ and vice versa

Omg, yes! I'm an INFP and my Social Studies teacher was an ENFJ. Except I knew about her type after learning more about MBTI. She was fascinating. She was one of the two favourite teachers I had, and I really admired her as well. I believe my other favourite teacher was an ESTJ. Too bad they are not teaching me anymore...

I'm in a ENFJ (female) and INFP (male) relationship. I also have a close friend that is female INFP. They have what I would call quiet confidence and they don't like to be alone but dislike social gatherings. What I also found funny is that they are both lord of the rings fans and the author J.R.R. Tolkein is an INFP like them.
@Lucas C Can be a struggle to a man, as we aren't supposed to show something about our emotions. But it was before I learned to accept by embracing it, and finally not blushing anymore ( few situation can make me blush, such as when I got a girl/woman compliment if sincere ). Can wear a mask to hide, and appreciate it later alone.
@Cali Sphynx Well, when you have an ESTJ father, and brothers (ISTP - ISTJ) and a INTP sister, who values the "no emotions allowed + practical", as an Infj you have to adapt or being eaten alive, by them, and generally by the most of the society. So, Just adapting to them / mirror. That doesn't mean that I'm right with these values, a man can show emotion, and still be strong, sometimes emotions, can make you stronger ( if your're an INFx you know about ). This is "society values" that i'm not sharing with, but we live in this society. To keep peace, most of time, I wear a mask. Like most Infj do, then retreat to seek peace, in a calm place.
@Cali Sphynx Interresting , It can be answered with two manners here: One with the mask and the other one, more risky, being myself. I will respond with myself, with my mindset. Basically this society forces us to wear a mask, and because of that, there is a lack of humanity, sense of empathy. I know that not everyone can be an empath, but taking the time to understand each other, could help to grow ( for each other ) But let's face it sometimes, people even doesn't bother to try to understand a person or a situation, and when you talk about it, you are labelled as dreamer, an idealist fool... out this world, as I've been already called before. Clash after clashes, you have to learn to protect yourself, in order to stay "fresh" for those who needs your help, the worthy, those in need. No time to waste here, with people who doesn't try to get you, or even worse, trying to stop you. Why? You will asking me. Because people who doesn't understand you, can be particuliary harsh, towards you, and your ideas. ( That famous "no cross" line ) At work, you can't expressing yourself like you want to, or be fired, simple. Rince and repeat. I wear a mask to avoid getting in troubles, because people like this are too closed minded, to accept that everyone have the right to be different or not. Of course, it's hypocritical, but that's the way it is, this is disgusting, that's why, I can't work into sales offices, or financial related things, it's too fake and I sense it, I simply can't afford it. So I avoid this kind of workplace. Now in my opinion, call me idealist if you want to. Peace is a state of mind, that reflect on others, but if others reflect troubles and problems, then peace is in yourself If people, took much time to know each other, certainly suicide rate would low and low, and stress would be treated as a headache. Simply as that. But this is an idealistic view, that not everybody will be ok with. I respect that, all opinions is acceptable. So, they have to respect others point of view. As everyone is important... Every lives is important. This world doesn't need usless words, it needs love, just a smile can help. I try to share more love everyday, and be less useless, as possible. @Cali Sphynx Haha maybe this time, I was way "too myself" I guess. My experience learned me one important thing while socialising. Testing people, so I can deciding if I can be real or not with. Most of the case, people honestly tought that they could handle deep conversation that they as asked for it to me , and themselves. Then they realise the "can't keep up" thing. So, to keep the interest, I wear a more "common/ accepted" mask to keep the person with me. As if the INFJ "probe" continues... The person leaves the place pretending something important to do ( last minute lie) Later will notice, as she/he labelled you as weird. "Funny" thing tough. That's an INFJ "power", starring at you, looking into your soul, listening to you, eventually making you leave, if you are fake when discovered. But If you're real with one, it can be endless conversations, trustworthy relationships, friendship or why not more, that can be solid. Now you know, why us INFJ wear a mask. Hey @sarahmbti ! I was wondering if I could get some feedback. I'm an INFP male who has it big time for my lovely ENFJ friend. I want to make a move on her but I'm having trouble with confidence and having trouble deciphering if she shares a mutual interest. She's been staying at my place for a couple days and i haven't built the nerve to make a move. I've asked her out on dates and she said yes but not sure when. We always hang out but have never been on a date. The last time I made a move on her several months back, she strongly hinted that she wasn't interested. But now that we've grown a bit closer I feel as if she might've grown an interest, but I'm afraid if I make my move that I'll just be in the awkward friend zone again. What is the best way to approach this?
I just met an older ENFJ woman over a video chat today. She was a therapist and she offered to help me work through certain things. I can confirm that every single thing you mentioned in this video is true. I was shy at first but she opened me up and the conversation naturally flowed right from the start. I could talk about the serious deep things, and she could meet me at that level, and she, like Emma to Andrew in this video, had no trouble being funny and getting me to laugh, talking about my hair being in my eyes and thinking I was blind, about me doing my "homework" on my family history to see if I inherited any problems from other family members, and teasing me about being on an MBTI group to stalk ENFJs hahaha. She even appreciated my dry sense of Ne humor. We talked about what we originally talked about, but we were able to delve very deeply into intuitive concepts like music and the vibrations it carries and if it mirrors the soul, crystals, energy healing, the meaning of why some people are the way they are, and I even tried to help her with some of her issues she told me about, and yet at the same time, it was all connected to what we intended on talking about. I definitely noticed my Ne was going crazy with all of the concepts and ideas that I brought up, and her Ni could theorize on what it was that was possible. Needless to say, I have never found it so easy to talk with a stranger for the first time face to face. We talked about a lot more for a long time, but I can say without a doubt that this is definitely a magnetic and effortless connection. Even if I become silent with little to say, the ENFJ has no trouble continuing the conversation and carrying it on. If any two types are ideal as friends and/or lovers, this is by far the best matchup. I don't even have to second guess myself, and it seems you know the power behind this natural and dynamic chemistry too! Honestly, I think I could have talked for hours. Well, on second thought, I did talk for hours!

Sara MBTI We are usually in our rooms hahaha! But you can find us at parks, especially natural parks. We will most likely be the ones alone. Libraries are also good, although I never go to them. Obviously INFP groups are the best way though haha.

I think the last part was hypersensitivity to her reaction. Infp talking smth personal and being laughed at instantly triggers them, but it's just a reaction, hence on the inside he doesn't care much about that as he has naturally grown out of public opinion. So, int he last part I guess he was just trying to make things funny by deliberately overreacting :D

omg, the way he talks is exactly how I talk "umm" and repeating words😂, idk why I always stammer when speak infront of people, even if im clear of what I need to say. I thought it's english problem but i realise its the same when im in my mother tongue language, like I never hesitate when I write out my views online but when it comes to reality i just start my sentence with "umm" for EVERYTHING, even when answering a 'yes'.
I swear his heart is in his throat in that interview.......... Just like mine was when I had to do a presentation in class today. Like it was an online class but still I felt my voice shake so much and I constantly said "uh, um" after literally every other word, I constantly kept botching up words and stuttered quite a bit. I was seated but my legs were like jelly. And this was when I had already typed out my complete notes to present that I had learnt very well. My professor was impressed with my presentation and I got full marks and when I asked my friends if my voice was shaking or if I sounded nervous, they said I was sounding pretty confident. So I guess there isn't anything to worry about........but I wish I could improve my speech to exclude my "uh" and "um". Apart from that I'm pretty proud of myself for scoring high in my presentation.

my best friend is an INFP boy and I’m an ENFJ girl. i kid u not he is so much like this guy conversation-wise. he uses hypersensitivity as a joke often and the conversation dynamic between the two of them is very similar to how we talk it’s actually weird.
Something that is not necessarily displayed in this video but I do as an infp is that when someone talks, my eyes tend to wander around, thinking about what they’re saying, and also nodding. That’s also the reason why I don’t make eye contact. I can’t think when looking someone in the eyes.
Soooo, its embrassing. But, I close with someone for past a month and I know that he is INFP. I don't think too much about that at first, but I am just boring and search about my personalities that is ENFJ. I suprissed. They are broke now, she is married to a director.. I am INFJ... That's why we Introverted NF's have suspection in relationships, think 10 times before falling into one or self shut down. People think we are naive for confrontation, but it's self preservation subconsciously powered by intuition.
You can tell which types of people are worth saying something to if there's some sort of issue. Especially in a work setting where you have to be professional. I bond with my ENFJ coworker over things like not eating lunch in the break room due to the gossip queens.

Maybe I came across few ones unconsciously, maybe d quiet guy in college who discreetly looks at me who seems to read me sumhow..but he was too shy? while I was too buay in d crowd...but it felt sum1 was secretly studying me haha! I think it's possible haha. I did discreetly look at an ENFJ while they were busy with people as an INFP. I think that often times I don't dare to approach an ENFJ unless they approach me first. I feel like it's often the introverts which I dare to approach first haha. Maybe that's why almost all my friends are introverts.
Could very well be true, we dont engage easily. Makes usually for a paradoxal life. We like to be social but not in social gatherings like we like being with extroverted people and enfjs especially but wont engage so staying in our own bubble. Its the grand story of my life and when i wanted to change that i got the existential crisis things since i was going way overboard with being extroverted and social thus rejecting the introverted part in me. That was pretty messy.
I am an ENFJ and I lucky got married to an INFP male and I just love the way he cares and loves me..But at times I do get confused and puzzled with his behaviors. (It's not always that dream and creamy..)
I've never known a ENFJ. D: For some reason, I usually feel attracted to my own type or INTP. Lately, I've met some S-J types. I'd like to know an ENFJ, they're so inspiring.
My try - both extraverts. One rational kinesthetic (man) - ENFJ, the young lady is sort of static, emotional, discreet, but ready go with the flow and is sort of a strong personality, though a kind one - say... ESFP, or ESTP, as a variant - ESFJ. As she seems very supportive and interested, but feeling a bit of a necessity to interrupt herself physically in order not to intervene into an imperfect way of the partner to deliver the story.
INFPs will just forever be my weakness, I guess. It's a really cute video though. Yeah, I also do that seducing thing and I don't do that consciously. It's pretty awkward sometimes lol but well :p -ENFJ

Sara, I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and notice that whenever you assign a label to “head nodding” (in agreement / understanding/ empathy etc), you label it as an “Fe” trait. I’m an enfp (so I have Fi and not fe) and even without fe, I do this exact head nodding thing in nearly every conversation where someone is expressing something. I think that physical movements of the body cannot be assigned to one function or another, and doing so limits peoples understanding of how types can appear in person. I guess it is somewhat upsetting to constantly see fe types being labeled as the only ones who give physical signs of affirmation and empathy when there are plenty of fi types that do this too, especially enfps.
@@Julsies7 Hey, I'm an Enfj. I couldn't tell you which functions are more likely to head nod, but, I do know that both Fe and Fi users give physical signs of affirmation, because they both want others to feel validated, but, for slightly different reasons. High Fi users show empathy by imagining how the they themselves would feel in the other person's shoes, which lets them know how they can validate the other. Whereas high Fe users discern how the other is feeling by referring to how they think "the average person" would feel. For this reason, when an fi user is empathising it is fundamentally draining as they're applying their own subjective, value-based framework to the situation and acting in accordance with that. Whereas for a high Fe user, empathising is energising because they literally "absorb" the emotions of the other, by analysing body language data and then comparing this data to the body language of what they think the "average person" would have in the same situation. I imagine this means that high Fe users give physical signs of affirmation and empathy more often, as it is energising to them and they can do it non-stop for a long time. Fi users can still do it of course, but they do it to a much deeper, more personal level which means it is draining, and hence even when they're willing to spend the energy, they usually can't do it for as long as a high Fe user. But the validation given by a high Fe user will usually be shallower.

It's an INFP thing.. all of us have that, I think.. It's a sort of highly selective filtration.. He does things he like..if others don't accept it, it's ok.. but if what he did is not up to the mark, he's hurt.. So you see, as long as what we do meet the expectations of sources we deem fit for the particular situation, it's ok whatever people say...

as an infp i am sensitive emotionally, so a bad comment and rejection hurts me deeply but my IDEAS and ideals are adamant, popular opinion can't change my mind.
