I created this inner child healing meditation to help comfort the inner child as you deal with the difficult feelings and emotions triggered by old childhood wounding. When we experience intense feelings & emotions, it is usually because our inner child within is reliving a repressed emotion that has been activated by a present day event reminiscent of an old painful feeling. During this meditation, you will be gently guided and supported to help you ride out the difficult feeling rather than run away from the emotional discomfort by our usual strategies of escape, avoidance, suppression, indulgence, and self-judgment. Both you and your little one will meet this unpleasant feeling together. As your inner child begins to feel safe and supported, this unpleasant feeling will slowly begin to release and transform. This inner child meditation can be used when you get into an argument or misunderstanding, feel confused or conflicted, disrespected or misunderstood, or anytime you experience a feeling or emotion that feels too intense and difficult to manage. Doing this meditation often will result in feelings and emotions from the past creeping in less and less. Although I am in the health profession, I am not a trained therapist. I am only sharing a technique that I have learned to use (through my own ongoing therapy) that has really helped me learn how to deal with my difficult emotions and feelings. I hope this may help you as well!

My inner child is very anxious. Tonight I felt her anger and fear and hatred toward my parents and fear of people. I feel so sad that's how she felt as a child. Unsafe. I dedicate the rest of my life to help and heal and love her. Please get rid of ads in this meditation.

What I have recently discovered was not what my Mother did to me but what she didn't do. I love my Mother and feel she must have had deep emotional wounds but she never held me, hugged me, told me everything was going to be ok, there wasn't much physical affection and I didn't know it was missing but it made me stay by her a lot. Down by her feet, hugging her legs or playing with my toys by her, when she was hospitalized she never told me it was OK or hugged me or talked to me, I think this made me feel like breadcrumbs of love was enough when I got older. It made me grow up to feel I wasn't worthy of love and I accepted unhealthy treatment in order to get the breadcrumbs, it made me codependent. My inner child just wants to be held and let her know she is loved and valued. I don't know why but my mother held and loved my children. She was a wonderful grandmother.

I never realized how much my inner child needed my attention. When you said to meet my inner child, I saw her sitting on the floor of my old school playground. I looked into her eyes and saw sadness. A little girl who needed attention and love. I hugged my inner child so tight and gave her words of affirmations. Fast forward to the end of the video and my inner child looked at me with a big smile and ran off with confidence to go play kickball with other kids on the playground. It felt amazing. This video helped tremendously! 💖

It’s only permanent if you keep that limiting belief and completely identify with what your mind tells you about “you” you aren’t the mind you aren’t the body you aren’t your thoughts they are simply just those things a mind a body and a thought..you may feel like the childhood pain impacted you so much it’s permanent but that is an illusion that’s not who you truly are.. we are all spiritual beings having human experiences💯❤️✨namaste

@@23xe85 are you saying this based ok experience? I know you told him it's only permanent if he believes the limiting beliefs aka what his mind tells him he is. However, what are things he is not to do eg. Do not hang with ppl who tear you down if you wanna fully heal and be back to you. Also, what are things to do eg. Get back to what you used to do when at your happiest best personality.

I picked up my little girl from school , where she most felt alone, and I told her she’s not alone, and to never be afraid of being alone. This meditation made me cry. And I feel a different kind of weight off my shoulder. Thanks so much

Because of the very high amount of abuse I grew up with I never learned how to sit with my emotions and pain. This has caused so much heartache and difficulties with PTSD as an adult. This guidance helps me a lot so I can reserve time to learn this important skill in my recovery. Thank you so much!

I tend to suppress my inner child a lot. It's just too much to bring out in the open. But, in all honesty, my inner child needs someone to just hold me and comfort me. It longs for a mother who shows genuine love, concern, understanding, support, and who is comforting and nurturing. Many times in my life I needed this, but did not receive it. Now as an adult I long for this, however, sometimes, oddly enough, I'll do whatever it takes to avoid it as well. 🤔 I'm usually somewhere between longing and avoidance, however, I know deep down it's a true longing, but I choose to push it out of my consciousness because it's just too much to feel through and to process, not to mention painful, confusing, and uncomfortable too.

I have just found this wonderful meditation, my inner child has been wounded all her life I was able to shed tears of sadness and abandonment for her, the feeling of a large growth in my throat and chest has softened and become smaller, I can breath more easily now and I feel more comfortable, I am going to nurture my inner child with good food, fun, lots of movement, creativity and look for people who are more whole and nurturing to themselves and others. Thank you for this meditation. I am feeling very anxious and alone and my coping mechanism is to withdraw and use distractions. This time, instead of opening tiktok and doom scrolling for hours and hours, I googled this and watched your video. I had tears streaming down my face for most of it, but it felt very healing. The feeling in my stomach didn't subside afterwards as I was hoping it would, but it has been compounding for years and years so it makes sense. With more practice I can hopefully work through it more and feel more peace. Thank you :)

This notification for this video came at the exact moment I needed it to.. I was preparing to go to bed knowing sleep would be difficult after some triggering events of the day... but listening to your loving , comforting voice and really connecting with parts of myself I didn’t really want to,, was helpful in ways I can’t even put wholly in to words. This made me cry. I was just curious how my inner child feels when i first tried it. Now I found out how insecure and scared I felt when I was young. My family have had many problems in the past, alcoholic and absent dad, depressed mum. After this meditation, it all came back and I am in shock. I thought my childhood didn’t bother me but I was wrong. I always believe that my experience was normal until I have my own child and the situation seems different from what I have experienced. I have always gaslighted myself and ignoring all the pain I feel. From now on I will embrace my inner child and tell her it’s okay. If no one is there for her. I will be.

This is a special time doing this meditation. Tonight I healed a big part of a pain that felt like a sickening, dark stone in my stomach that was falling endlessly into a dark sea. I think I’m expecting for the first time healing childhood wounds from when my dad left me when I was was 2. My mom couldn’t show me affection and years later my entire family disowned me for leaving their religion. I’ve been trying to be positive and heal and forgive but it’s been so hard and I’ve formed such bad codependent relationships and insecurities. Thank you for this. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have help like this available. I love and appreciate you for it and everyone that is here trying to find healing too. ❤️

After coming out of a relatively short but painful relationship a month ago I've been doing the work I need to heal at long last. I landed upon this tonight and all I can say is wow, you are truly amazing! I literally sobbed all the way through! I can see how little me has been running the show but I didn't realise she was. Now I feel we can work together and with time have a healthy relationship with someone! Thanks again 🥰🥰

I don't know what to say, but I found this meditation very helpful, a step forward, a meaningful step forward on my healing journey. I just listened to this meditation (twice) and now I feel better. I cried so hard in the beginning while holding my inner child. I began the meditation because im so frustrated and angry and sad. These are feelings I've always had, and it doesn't matter all the bad circumstances because the feelings are always the same. I saw and felt a deep stab to my heart and there was a giant sword through me. My chest was so heavy, so I pulled the sword out and then I saw Arch Angel Raphael spread his healing green light into my chest, into my heart. The Green light healed the hole and engulfed both myself and my inner child. This was all as I was holding my inner child and realizing how unhappy I've been for such a long time. I never deserved to feel that way as a child. So I held her tight and I told her I love her, that she's safe, that feelings come and go and they don't have to be forever, the future is better, and everything's going to be okay. I do feel better and feel like a weights been lifted off of me, but I know I have a long way to go...

spending time comforting my inner child and speaking with her is such a wholesome thing. and the fact is, i’m still very much a child. i have so much more to learn. i don’t need to rush anything. it’s okay to live in the present moment.

We have never met Joanne but your videos have helped me so much and I genuinely can’t thank you enough. With yourself and my counsellor who I see on a regular basis I am very slowly making amends and being able to not struggle as much with my emotions. I don't ever remember being held like the child in this picture other than the few times I visited my paternal grandmother and she sometimes would lay with me and stroke my arms......that has always been a vivid memory. I have always run away from inner child work because it brings up such sadness and discomfort in my belly. And tears.

Thank you for this video. I met my inner child who was around 7 years old, 9/10 years old & teenager of junior high school. I cried along this journey. I hug them all and understand where did my all fear, insecurity, anger, sadness, loneliness, and jealousy come from.. I will repeat this meditation when I feel emotional trigger later.. I can't thank you enough 🙏🏻 My inner child has shown to me that she needs to be seen, heard, appreciated, embraced, got loving touch and accompanied. She also tell me since when I feel the insecurity about my overbite teeth. I'm so grateful to find this meditation. 🙏🏻

Thank you for this meditation! Ever since doing my workshop with The Inner Council I've been collecting tools and expanding my own techniques to interact daily with my inner child, it has changed my life and given me a world that I didn't know was possible. :)

I never got much affection or attention growing up.i think that is why I turned to unhealthy and abusive relationships.i hope this meditation helps me😊❤ thank you Joanne.i really like listening to your peaceful and caring voice when I am trying to relax or sleep 😴😴😊

I felt so emotional lately and especially before bedtime. I play this video or meditation for the first time. And I’ve cried a lot from the beginning, when I saw my innerchild.. I felt how afraid and lonely she is. And it’s just not easy for her to handle those feeling. I tried to calm her down and hug her tightly and then I can feel and understand what exactly she was worried about. I’ve been triggered by my sister, when I was young I felt unfairly loved by my parent because of her. The difference age between me and my sister is 20 years. So when I was young, my sister has been married already. But she and her ex-husband was incapable to be financially independent for their marriage life, which my dad had to support them. Until now she can’t give support (mentally or financially) to her children because of her lack of responsibility or something. I felt really bad for her children and that make me really sad too. I always had the feeling that she is still childish and I have to be the mature one in every situation. I think I Stil have to understand more about my own feelings and of course about my innerchild. I think I’m gonna do this meditation every night to get closer to my innerchild and find a peace of my hearth and mind. Thank you so much for your video 🥹❤️

I found this meditation so comforting and soothing... but close to the end when she said to let my inner child slip away I suddenly felt devastated & felt empty and hollow. I didn't want to let go of my inner child. I cried so hard. Maybe they were feelings I needed to feel?

You've practically perfectly described how I used to function. I was pretty divided and somehow the descriptions mostly fit really excessively well those two parts. It's been a bit broken and I've been trying to make this care specifically work again; lots of slow gentle steps. This is so fitting that it's getting me emotional. Thank you I'd feel more inclined to comment emotionally soon, since it's actually extremely relevant for a certain recent event. Might try if ok. I'm a bit exhausted today (hadn't slept to work on school stuff for 8h from midnight, then did lab stuff for 9 hours rushing around, didn't eat all day, etc.). This might help try to go through other more frequent difficult thoughts/subjects I think. I really feel relatively and absolutely helpless and in intense horror for some. Wanted this type of help. Still also feel a stinging discomfort for that recent event that made me really freak out for days and act intense and stressed like I used to. Apart from those parts, I used to regulate a lot to dissimulate/hide 'me, and notably had slave/guide dynamics for me. At some point I had been really unreliable to keep me safe and managed right for too long, and I started hurting myself with meaner sentiments/idk for twice the hours during punishment sessions for some reason (like 5h and frantically after some hours instead of 1-2h). I'd like feel weak and abused right after for long periods of time. It kind of broke the whole trust/harmony for the sort of system in waves and it feels stuck since like early 2018. Starting to forget how to explain it better, but I wanted to express it again (would've made conditioning routines and punished against even wanting that before). I get too honest. Not much else feels right now sorry.

GEORGIO ASMR I've been wanting to say thank you, I woke up that friday really stressed out or scared and wanting to delete this. It didn't fully fade, but thank you this really meant a lot. The progress was really absurd the first year; it was extremely intensely conflicting, but those first steps were fast due to context. Lots of details. I've felt proud about it thank you. It's quite slower or complicated since awhile though. I feel very pampered (?) and idk from the feedback just to say. Thank you so much for the kind wishes too

Thank you for this. I was unloved by my parents and had a traumatic experience as an infant. I'm okay now. I've let go of seeking validation from those who cannot love and I'm grateful for all the good things in my life now in the present.

I started crying uncontrollably before the meditation began. I'm not even sure what hurts or why or where it's coming from. All I know it feels anxious and hurt

When I started to listen to this meditation, my innerchild would just cry. That was almost 3 years ago. Now my innerchild is angry. I am listening to this with clenched teeth. I'm so angry at all the abuse I've had to endure.

You were right you said about it be emotional disturbing but I just want to see....and what i saw is small chubby preschool me in a light blue with shorts on as my hair was it's short to my shoulders for a second I couldn't tell if it was me or not but then I could because of a birthmark I still had, she looked happy and curious and full of life and as I seen abit of bruise on her my heart tightened with how her life going turn out even more worse then this since it was just the start and when I I tears left she looked concern and confused but I kept swiping away my tears an that when I seen my inner child switch from preschool me to two or 4 years older who was wearing blue one suit or w.e who had more bruise and she had looked of fear and hopelessness in her eyes...she looked shy and obedient and she seen me and became anxious and my heart dropped and when you said hold them or touch them she flinch and had her eyes tighten like she was ready for a beating.....that when I stopped crying and I just slow caresses her cheek showing her the affection she needed she decided inbetween if she should lean into it or take stiff but I knew she was hurting felt hopeless with no one to help her or no one to tell.
