ALERT: Make sure to disable AUTO SAVE. Or this will NOT work
Using this method, you can get Shiny Pokemon and even Shiny ALPHA Pokemon with literally insane odds early in the game. Using Mass Outbreak plus Level 10 Research gives 1-in-152 odds. Even better than MASUDA?!
You can boost it even further to ~1-in-128 odds, if you get perfect research and the shiny charm.

ALERT: Make sure to disable AUTO SAVE. Or this will NOT work. If you want to be able to save yourself from failing shinies, and many other critical tips... I highly recommend disabling it.

2nd day of playing, before watching this video, I saw a outbreak of buisels and then I found my first shiny Pokémon in the middle of them, wasn’t expecting the shiny rate to be so high 😂

I've heard nothing concrete, but I haven't updated. The only thing that might have changed, is the length of time these outbreaks stay active and resettable. I don't think rates have changed.

Surprisingly I haven’t seen a full odds shiny in legends arceus yet, I got 5 shinies through the outbreak, (shinx which is now Luxray, budew, chimchar which is now infernape, a h qwilfish, and I Recently got a starly), wish I get a full odds soon!!

Would you say that avoiding Mass Outbreaks and only using the boosts the Pokédex gives you naturally still makes shiny hunting “easy”?

Yeah shinies are so easy in this game because you can see so many pokemon at once saw one within 2 hours without doing anything

How many times do you have to go back and forth between camp and the town to get an outbreak? I’ve been going back and forth for ages and no luck, and I am at the kleavor quest.. help

Its quite rare in the early game when you only have the one map. I spent a good 10 minutes going in and out, maybe longer. The problem is that since you can't see the other maps, the outbreaks are likely spawning there... And once they spawn there they stick around for little while so you need to keep going in and out until they expire. No way of knowing how long that is, and you could get unlucky and then have it not move over to the 1st area again. It can be quite annoying early game, but doable. I'd highly recommend getting 2-3 maps first.

how did you get outbreaks? cause apparently you gotta clear main story to unlock them?

No they are just rare early game, because you don't have all the maps yet. So outbreaks are spawning there and you can't see them. They stick around for a while, so you need to go in and out ALOT sometimes to clear them out and get one on your map.

when you enter the field, in the field selection there will be a picture of a pokemon. thats where there is a rampage

Had one of the outbreaks disappear while I was traveling to it, and I saved at camp, so there was nothing I could do to keep it going

@ no it was there when I picked the map, then while I was riding wyrdeer to get there, it despawned. it seems like they’re time based almost. i’ve had it happen twice now

It'll show up after you help kleavor, and you probably need to update to the day one patch if you haven't already

Also, going back to the village will trigger it, the guard warns you about the outbreak before you leave

LMFAOOOOO! No wonder you can’t trade from legends to home, but you can trade from home to legends. Don’t lose your Pokémon folks. Shiny hunting will be fun for the novelty of it, but let’s be real. This isn’t viable outside the legends franchise. Yes, I KNOW there will be a sequel.
