This is one of the best trailers I’ve ever seen. The fandom lost its sh!t when it was dropped on Tuesday. The way the music and action and dialogue just builds up with LestatLestatLestat, then you/me/me/you, then the crescendo breaks as Louis breaks down…. Stunning.

I'm really excited to see how memory will be treated as a theme - not just for Louis, but also Lestat, Claudia, and Armand, and even Daniel. Because as he himself says, "memories just keep bubbling up" and he lost some memories of 1973, as season 1 showed us. Besides, we may have the four main vampires' perspectives confronted here; after all, in season 1, Louis did most of the talking and Claudia's voice resonated through the journals. In season 2, Armand is here and might himself talk about his point of view, and we might even have Lestat's imput, if the trailer is to be believed - plus Louis's and Claudia's voices. I can't wait, it's going to be so interesting, I feel it

The actress who played Claudia was also filming Avatar - Way of the Water at the same time as season 2 for Interview of the Vampire. She had scheduling conflicts and couldn't be in the second season. But there's a lot of support and hype for the actress playing Claudia in season 2.

The reason Claudia was recast is because Bailey Bass was contractually obligated to the Avatar sequels so she had to leave the show.

Season 2 will finish IWTV with some of The Vampire Lestat and The Vampire Armand intertwined. It's going to be operatic.

Yeah, S2 basically is going the end off IwtV and soft segway into The Vampire Lestat, which is book 2. And seasons 3 will be the 2nd book, which of course is Lestats origin story, and S4 most likely will finish book 2 and segway into book 3. Which is QotD, which may get 3 seasons itself... So there will be some of book 2 in this 2nd season, and no doubt some of book 3 in the next two seasons. What I think is excessively fascinating, is that it seems we're actually going to get a bit of Armands POV of The Vampire Lestat. Which I'm extremely excited for how they spin that 👏🏽🙌🏽

Bailey Bass had other commitments so the wonderful Delainey came in 2 weeks before shooting to play Claudia. She's going to be great and it adds to the idea of the unreliable narrator. Ben Daniels as Santiago is going to be totally unhinged as he should be. Assad as Armand....looking forward to he and Louis but as we know Lestat will always be between them. ❤😊

I am so on ready, The first season was good, but now we are getting into the meat of Louis's tale and my fave part of the first book. This trailer is on a whole other level, the way it builds is just incredible an your reactions as the trailer build is just marvelous!

If you want a light-hearted, wholesome vampire show (that is also queer) I recommend a show called *1000 Years Old*. It's a really delightful and feel-good Thai BL about a college student who is looking for aliens, but ends up meeting a vampire instead. It's super cute.

Neither the movie or the series got Armand right. He was turned at the age of 17 during the Renaissance. He is the oldest vampire in the Paris coven yet is described in the books as angelically beautiful, short and slender with curly auburn hair and bottomless brown eyes. The ultimate damaged (and bitter) twink. And yes, in his own way, just as monstrous as Lestat.
