The COR-20 is finally here and this video will tell you all about it. The COR-20 is a DC-Driven Return Pump for aquariums that outputs up to 2000 gallons-per-hour and uses less than 90 watts. The COR-20 can be used standalone (without and Apex) or connected to any Apex model via the AquaBus port.
Check out the web page for the COR-20 here:
www.neptunesystems.com/produc...
or check out its baby brother, the COR-15 here:

Will the Cor have the same wave functions as the WAV's in a closed loop role? Specifically Malibu? Or do we have to manually program the varied flow?
@NeptuneSystemsVideo
@NeptuneSystemsVideo 6 лет назад
At the moment Apex Fusion only has the capability to ramp the COR up or down over time.

Hey team, I’m reaching out to ask what is the best size to plumb my W/C station with? Is the 1” input of the COR-20 the max or best?

I had it in my hands today at Exotic Aquariums, something to consider getting soon. Can this pump be install in a 90 gallons square tank? But am more interested in the trident any news on that.

Yes it is the perfect size for a 90g. We are still working hard on the Trident.

At a Neptune Event hosted by a local LFS the rep from Neptune talked about the 15 and 20 being essentially the same pump, just one comes with the power supply to provide the power necessary to increase flow for the cor20. So I’m curios if that is still the case. So if I buy a cor20 could it be run with just a 1link making it essentially a 15? And will a separate power substation ply be available as a replacement part for the 20 as well as to upgrade the 15 to a 20?
@NeptuneSystemsVideo
@NeptuneSystemsVideo 6 лет назад
That is correct. The pump body is identical between the two pumps. The driver is different. The COR-20 driver has a power supply input as well as AquaBus. The COR-15 only has a 1Link connector. In theory someone could buy the COR-15 and turn it into a COR-20 by changing the driver and adding a power supply, but it would likely not be a cost effective thing to do.

I LOVE my Neptune products. I have an Apex Jr as well as 2016 apex with a ton of extra add ons and modules. My only complaint is the plastic housing on the newer stuff looks and feels SO cheap. It is a shame, I wouldn't buy this pump because it fits in to that category. When I spend good money on something, I like it to feel and look like it cost good money,

Would this be ok for a 150 with a basement sump?
@NeptuneSystemsVideo
@NeptuneSystemsVideo 6 лет назад
Yes, it could be depending on how high your ceilings are, if you put the sump in the basement up off the floor, how much flow you want through your sump and also if you plumb it with 1.25" or even 1.5" from the pump. There are many factors to consider. Do not expect 10x turnover through the sump.
@ronf-ingmyers8449
@ronf-ingmyers8449 6 лет назад
No it can not, look at the pump curve based on head height. Its just another example of a DC Drive pump not design for flexibility! The driving factor here is the Apex Ready pump.............I get it, but if you want a pump that actually is designed with remote capabilities vs a under tank Sump..............Go with Royal Exclusiv or Abyzz.....................These are designed to handle this typ of situation. The goal for this pump and many others when it was nothing more than a concept was to hit the masses, when that is the #1 priority it takes higher Back pressure Flexibility out of the equation.

You didn't talk about heat comparison. How does it compare to the competition with heat output?
@NeptuneSystemsVideo
@NeptuneSystemsVideo 6 лет назад
A good rule of thumb for these internal pumps is to take the power at the wall, multiply by 0.8, and that is about the amount of heat going into the water (equivalent to a heater of the same size). For the most part, most of the more modern DC pumps of this class (and powerheads for that matter) have very similar power dissipation at the pump and amount of heat transferred into the water.

curious my self My tanks are only 20g and 32 gallons might be a massive pump for Nano.

After having a brand new Apex controller almost nuke my tank out of the box and their tech department verify it to be faulty and their notoriously inaccurate probes, I'll hold off on giving Neptunes anymore of my money until they put more emphasis on quality control. They should start running reefs of their own so they can understand the importance of the word STABILITY in the hobby.

No 1link support? I hate power supplies and cables!

The COR-15 uses 1Link. This pump uses too much power for it to be driven by a 1Link connection.

Hmm, even when I’m reseller and a shop, it’s serious drama and weeks of dealing with your European representation/distribution, product can’t be yet really reviewed, some of them are few months old, especially Cor. Power bar with WiFi Apex full system for Europe is outdated, it’s not the one you’ve release in 2016 in US, the one you have released in EU is old version of 2013 US power bar, looks to me you’re selling us your old stock. We have two of cor-20 installed in two different client system and we will be happy to review them in near future under our shop account. If your customer service and EU support is as it look, I’ll will list them on eBay ASAP, and convince our customers it was wrong choice and move to ecotech ... really disappointed with your representation here, and there is a serious ticket going on, that no one replied from part of Neptune systems EU, which they have not been addressed in it. German brands are mostly dominating market in marine tank equipment, and they pioneers, again I’m really disappointing from image you project to us here, and all the ignorance. Fair well Neptune

@NeptuneSystemsVideo

Actually the pump is 2000 GALLONS per hour, not liters. So, it is slightly less powerful than your 9000LPH pump. But we understand - you have a pump - no need to change if its working for you!
