We do not have internet. I rode my horse 463 and one half days. Through the wilderness, along the mountain path. I came upon a village where an old witch lived. She asked a price that I gladly gave and when my blood was Let and my life was at it end I was able to watch this video through the Seeing Stone.

Lets get it straight, this isnt for your casual "hardcore" gamers. Im talkin FPS only loving COD or PUBG players. I bought it knowing EXACTLY what i was getting into. And because my expectations were adjusted to that, ive been having a great time. Also, no internet, sent this comment through smoke signals.

Completely agree. This game just isn't for everyone. It's deliberate and more than just a bit old-school. It requires you to invest time, to let yourself be immersed. I don't even play it during the week because those few hours after work just aren't enough time to properly play it. It surely has its flaws, but it's a masterpiece nevertheless.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a true RPG. If this was 15 years ago no one would bat an eyelash at most of these complaints, but we live in a post Mass Effect/Dragon Age world and anything with a character creator and elven tits is called an RPG. Nothing about its game systems needs to change. The intro doesn't need to change. The combat doesn't need to change. This is just the casual gamer being hit with an actual RPG and they don't know what the fuck to do with it.

As an owner of this game many of the issues you brought in the game is actually the great features most of the owners wanted. - “Why worry about risky moves if I can quick save” - “Teh slooooow and boring intro... where do I fight!” - “combat is haaaaaard” It breaks the immersion of feeling worried if you can quick save anytime. I’d rather have an intro that’s long than game that puts you right into the action without a story or clue what and how the hell what happened Combat is pretty decent with the amount of depth there is. If you don’t like it then don’t complain why you suck at Street fighter for the same reason

It's really good game and the combAt is easy once you train. You don't need to train you can exploits early the game to level up your character in three of the four key stats and at least two out the five combat stats before you get the first major city

Ok so let me put it this way, KCD is like a Skill Up review. Out of the 45-50 minutes of the review, the first 10 minutes are spent trying to give the viewers a background and an elaborate set up of the world they're gonna be diving into. So trying to capture the attention in the first few minutes and then rushing right into the review won't keep SkillUps review unique but just another IGN review. That's an elaborate metaphor for what KCD is

Kingdom come is a very very liberated game; gameplay wise you feel free to be anywhere and do the quest line you feel like doing whenever you like, it really hits the nail with actually making you feel that because it's a new and a small indie company that is passionate about their game, BUT, it's also because the company is new and small is why it feels like a ghost town in the KCD world, or just like it wasn't finished yet, specially with how after a while of playing it everything feels the same a bit later and that you've hit the roof with this game It is in NO WAY AT ALL considered a bad game, its just perfect for a very specific type of crowds

I somehow get the point with the saving system, but at the same time I would sometimes like to play for a while and then go to do something else. I cannot do that now unless I want to loose all my progress or play until I get to the next possible time to save.

I actually got bored with Morrowind because I am useless at direction and Morrowind doesn’t hold your hand with a radar pointer like this game,Oblivion and Skyrim. I love the realism in this game,the scenery and sounds but the realism of combat,Warhorse did a tremendous job with a lower budget than the Elder Scrolls series.

Kevin Mcg Not really stealing all the belongings though. Just stealing food, drink, some animal pelts, maybe some alchemy items and rune stones. They don't need the rune stones anyways that's only for witchers lol. All the furniture and cupboards they get to keep. Worst thing that happens is the person you stole from goes hungry for awhile. Need to steal. Making witcher gear ain't cheap man.

it is a very subjective subject I've not played the game yet but from what I can see it looks alright anyway, again, as for the pace or whether the game should take your attention early or not is very very subjective, they could do better, definitely, but personally, I'm fine and even prefer something that is slower paced and full of build up early instead of explosion everywhere like COD and stuff

It's subjective in preference, but also subjective in how much time people have to play. 5 hours seems like a lot of time to get through if you're not interested and you only have 1-2 hours per day to play video games at all...

Good review. Im one of those people who did not get this game. The hype made me curious and its cool its historically accurate and not SJW but Im not into medieval "RPGs" but rather ones that are Sci Fi, Fantasy or Horror for reasons of immersion, creativity and imagination for (whether Nier Automata or The Witcher 3). The Genres a sticking point. Now hearing that KCD was buggy and boring I feel particularly justified in my decision.

Sam killing it with his breakdown! Interestingly on the food aspect, many people praised MGS3 for trying an aspect of survival realism that hadn't been attempted often. Maybe this is implemented more annoyingly? I wonder if by "revolutionary", people are more focused on the fact that a game dedicates itself to and doubles down on the realism of the medieval world and avoids the fantasy tropes that nearly all previous games in that genre have relied on, for the familiarity and the crutch of magic and mysticism.

The issue isn't the game. The issue is modern gamers and the industry. We've become too use to games coddling us. There are too many games where you begin immediately as a hero and/or a bad ass. Even games where you can start on hard core survival mode (and similar circumstances) are guilty of this. Kingdom Come: Deliverance fills a very specific niche, true. If that were the issue though, people wouldn't be complaining it were too slow to start. There should be no apologies for this work of art. Instead, people should come to terms with their own faults.

Hey Fam, as you level up theres a perk that you dont get hungry as fast. but YES its a slow start but when the world opens it up wow its awesome. genuine fear stumbling on a bandits camp but needing there loot to sell ahh loving it. but yes its buggy as hell. spent a good 30mins trying to get out of a open doorway

I haven't played the game yet, not sure if I actually do , but I think the beauty and advantage that games and books have is that they can be as long as they want to and that's fine. If a story is going slow and steady, that's fine! It does not have to appeal to everyone, not every story needs to capture you in the first 10 minutes and let you know everything that you need to know. Same could be said about some books and the only reason why I draw to comparison in the first place is that because we have books that in terms of story range between 100 pages and 2000 pages or over the course of several volumes just telling one story. Slowly but steady. Assassins Creed 3 spend about 10 hours of gametime before it introduced the actual protagonist of the story. Those 10 hours were spend in world building and an introduction of the later on antagonist of the story. Some people might call it lame and boring that it took that long ( maybe less than 10 hours) to even actually be the assassin of the story but I liked it because the game decided to introduce the villians first and the good guys second and flesh out their backstory. I was really hooked later on in the game. That might be the case with Kindome Come as well. Slowly building up the world and the story, bit by bit and its fine for me for as long as that time was spend well.

"this game exists on its own terms" Well said. This wasn't cooked up by some AI algorithm trolling consumers data. This is the game that the creators Wanted to make. I like that it creates an experience that will be the sum of all your deliberate decisions. I feel that why the intro is so long. It takes its time to help you to understand the brevity of the decisions you'll be making and helps you to determine how you want to deal with the challenges of the different paths you can take. One of my favourite parts early on was when Lord Capon makes you run beside his horse to the hunting camp. Someone else might say that this type od scene would be rediculously boring but I thought it was a wonderful moment. Building the characters relationship in a great way and really cementing the games value of sticking to historical representations. Waiting for your review Skill Up🤙

An Autosave like Dark Souls would have been effective as well. Autosave as soon as you make a decision or kill someone with no other save file (other then hard saves, with the schnapps) to return to.

This game have some deep system and is quite complex. The only problem is they don't teach you much on how things work, you kinda have to figure it out, as you go. Things like : you can't steal skyrim style, lest say a there's a book that sits on the table, when a person is not looking you can steal it and its fine in skyrim, here on the other hand the moment they look in your direction they will know the book is gone and you must be the one that stole it, or if you get cough for stealing to much in a town, town guards will know you have sticky fingers and will, once or twice a day stoop you to search you for stolen good, or that there is a hidden noise check when you try to knockout someone out (like a sleeping person) and if your noise stat is high and stealth stats is low its more then likely you make enough noise make an NPC close(even sleeping in the next room) go check what's going on. There tons of stuff like that.

Yeah KCD is not for the short of attention span, and I say that as a new school rpg fan who is fighting to hang on because I can just taste the potential here

What? You can save anytime. Just fast travel to the bathhouse and get the full treatment. It will save the game. Just get the perk that makes the bathhouse free. I got it within the first 5 hours if gameplay. Now I can save whenever I want.

Mark Price Or make your own potions there are several ways to achieve save a lot. The problem is people is so used to be hold hands and spammming saves and seeing markers.

yeah the save system isnt really a problem. Alot of people are crying about the system instead of actually PLAYING the game and learning the ins and outs of it.

Yeah. At first I was put off by the game save feature but once I learned sleeping saves your game it fell into its own like many other games that require you to return to a save point to actually save. This game is absolutely amazing. A bit clunky in places and a bit bland in others and the graphics aren't the best (made with cryengine) . . . . . . but by God, and Praise Jesus I haven't this much fun picking dandelions since I was like four years old! This game is great and I have been waiting nearly five years for this and am not disappointed. It needs polish like I think the bow needs some work but I'm not even at level 5 for it, so take it with a grain of salt.

The end was totally worth it though I changed my mind... Sam is definitely sniffing glue =)
