I do enjoy how Rocket Raccoon has definitively more emotional range than Brie Larson. And he's completely computer-generated.

Got to feel a bit sorry for the less well known actors who thought they'd made it to the big time, only to end up in one of the most reviled movies in decades.

The fact that this movie turned out to be a box office disaster gives me hope for the future of humanity

So Captain Plank's emotional low point is literally: 'I doomed a planet and all its people to slow and torturous deaths, they called me a mean name because of it, and that makes me feel bad." She says, as another planet she abandoned dies. This monster is a villain. The M-SHE-U could honestly start to recover if the next Avengers movie had Captain Plank as the main antagonist, wrecking and destroying entire worlds in her callous, vainglorious piety; killing billions, thinking she's the hero.

36 years ago stealing a planet's atmosphere was laughable enough to be the plot of a parody movie, now it's unironically a plot point in the biggest movie franchise of all time.

I'm still stumped at the fact they used the plot from Spaceballs as the focus of this film, and Disney wonders why they can't make money anymore...

Monica wakes up to seeing her dead mum again and her actual words being "grr oh shit" is the exact same autism as Hera and Sabine not crying and hugging Ezra who they thought has been dead for 12 years. Disney cant have female characters show any emotion, its a huge problem.

It's almost as if they started the project off as Ms Marvel confronting the fact that her hero, Captain Marvel, was a horrible person but that got lost in the rewrites.

This script would be unacceptable even for a comic book, not for a $300 million movie.

This is about the only way I can watch the mcu anymore.

Can it comeback? Yes Will it? No There’s already rumours that they’re going to gender swap the Silver Surfer, and make Sue the focal point of the Fantastic Four…they simply refuse to learn!

A few years ago, I noticed I was having trouble figuring out who I was supposed to like or be rooting for in shows and movies. I'm glad to see I wasn't going crazy.

This should be remembered as a 300 million dollar movie that should have been direct to VHS..

I just started working at a movie theater, and I walked into the Marvels during the musical number because nobody was there and I was bored. Anyway, I walked in there, and was like, "What... The ... FUQUE."

If it weren't for disgust, I'd have nothing but contempt for modern Marvel.

How many Kree did Darth Ben let DIE a slow and painful death because she was too stubborn to let them just LEAVE? They're an interstellar species that own numerous worlds. They have a galactic ARMY, they could easily get all the people off world and send them to one of their colonies. Seriously, they'd have at least DOZENS of colonies, but they're acting like ALL the Kree live on the homeworld! THAT'S NOT HOW SPACE FARING SPECIES FUCKING WORK! Why can Marvel not figure this out!? Darth Ben gets the ability to create PORTALS as well, and instead of using them, UNOPPOSED, to send the entire population of Halla somewhere else with zero travel time, she decides to use this device to steal air, steal water, and steal a BLOODY STAR! And of course because she's SO FUCKING PETTY she takes all these things from POPULATED worlds that will fight back because they don't want to DIE, and even MORE specifically she attacks planets the most POWERFUL (second now) being in the UNIVERSE has a personal connection to, ASSURING this person who is VASTLY more powerful than her will show up to fly through her and turn her into red mist. She doesn't, because Captain Plank is both a shit actress (Yes I've seen her "acting" in Room, and no it's not only not that impressive, it's also not HER, it's all the director, SHE is a garbage actress and basically needs to be PILOTED by a brilliant director. Anyone CAN act, only the talented don't need constant hand holding.) AND a shit fighter. To the point the villain literally defeats herself and it's only by absurd luck they manage to fix the mess she leaves behind. Then of course Carol immediately does the thing Darth Ben was trying to do, but way better than her and without committing genocide for funzies. This movie is so shit, the MCU is not coming back from this. The only way to recover is to scrap the MCU, give everyone some time to forget how bad it got, then start again and CONSISTENTLY focus on story, characters, and worldbuilding with TALENTED people, and stay WELL AWAY from fucking politics.

I bet Brie Larson took Amber Heard’s side in the Johnny Depp trial.

We have to accept projects made by Marvel/Lucasfilm/Fox is made by people that don't make movies for fans.

It's funny how these writers are so incompitent and trying to prove a point about "whaman be stronk." that they seem unaware they are actually writing villains and call them heroes. Self-centered, arrogant, irresponsible, me me me me me...

It's hard to believe this isn't a parody.

Mind boggles how they keep managing to redefine rock bottom. And then they'll have audacity to go all like "Oh, well, superhero fatiiiigue. What can ya do?"...

The fact that they even made this crap just shows how arrogant disney is and how little they value us the audience. They have managed to turn disappointment into hatred .

This movie reminds me of my one gripe with Wrath of Khan, which is the idea that people can't seem to find a planet anywhere in the universe that doesn't have life on it

While watching the movie all I could think of was "this is so stupid" and "this is so embarrassing". Awful plot with annoying acting. The movie makes no sense even in the twisted mcu universe. I am glad I didn't pay for my ticket at least.

If the released film is after multiple reshoots it kind of makes me perversely curious about the original shoot.

Im pretty sure the only reason the writers let the singing people's planet die is because Captain MarySue apparently betrothed to the prince of that planet. Well we cannot have the marriage life drag her down. She can only do superhero stuff and things like...taking care of her husband or be a good wife is a no-no to the writers

Dude, if Ms. Marvel gets her powers from the bangle, and the bad guy gets their powers from the other bangle, and people swap spots when their powers are used..... Why wasn't the bad guy switching spots too? I don't know if they did, I didn't watch it. Just curious if they overlooked that.

I think it can comeback but Iger has said their basically tripling down so it's only going to get worse.

The planet of where everyone sings and needs to be interpreted was already done in a not particularly well liked episode of The Transformers in the 1980s, "Carnage in C-Minor". All the inhabitants would sing their dialog in English which the audience could understand, and then one of the robots who could turn into a tape recorder (the good guys and bad guys each had one) would "translate" what that person just said to their teammates by repeating a slightly rephrased version but not singing it. Even that episode sounds like it was better than this movie. In the Transformers episode, there at least was a point to all the singing. There were three people on the planet who each had a part of a song, and when combined, the song turned into a sonic weapon, which the bad guys wanted for themselves. The part where they were using cats as weapons looks like a slight variation of the SNL "Laser Cats" skits. Instead of shooting lasers they shoot out...their octopus stomachs?..., but it's basically the same thing. Everyone's already mentioned the "stealing air" plot was itself stolen from Spaceballs.

Get rid of Feige and bring back Ike Perlmutter to be the Gatekeeper of all current and future Marvel projects. And PUBLICIZE the fact!! Then, Ike will cut waaaay back on female led projects. He'll only approve Writers, Producers and Directors who are actually familiar with and love the Lore. He'll make sure we get GREAT STORIES WITHOUT EMASCULATED MEN! This will bring back MILLIONS of fans of BOTH sexes who were driven away by Feige. After all, it was PERLMUTTER who was responsible for the ridiculously seccessful Phases I, II, III. Then Iger stupidly fired him. Sorry for all the caps. I'm passionate. What can I say?

There was an episode of Transformers G1 where they go to a planet if humanoid aliens who only speak in song, it's one of the most despised episodes in the series. If i had a nickle for everytime a reviled episode of franchise had a planet where everyone speaks only in song...
