@@doom3crazy to be honest I am not a camera guy but if I am flying on cloudy days or when it’s darker, I just lower the shutter speed until it looks nice and it works great. I was flying yesterday and there was thick cloud cover and the auto settings and the shutter speed somewhere around 800 and I lowered it to between 300 and 400 and it made all the difference in the world.

@@doccock100 Madstech set it to 30 FPS lol, I am complaining Polarvista 60FPS and want me to fly 30fps at night? too much for me.

For racing HDZero is the only system I'd use. I mainly fly freestyle so I'm less sensitive to latency and want the better image quality, range and penetration. I would say HDZero cameras also do well in low light but I haven't side by side compared them.

First off, the DVR would be recording in 4k and you could be flying in 1080p in your Goggles 2. I haven't heard of any issues doing this. Yes, 03 is still the leader of the pack!

@@KOrnhOliO1 Got it. I think they were saying some issues in recording specifically if I recall correctly, they were saying you can't mix-match these resolutions. That's awesome if it's working well. Hopefully I'll be able to upgrade to it. I'm still on DJI v1

@@jtroutt19 Been flying analog at 30fps for years haven't had any issues even so 30fps and lower latency is better than variable latency and a pretty picture.

@@thirtythreeeyes8624 to each their own man. I dont race so latency isnt a big deal for me. I have no issues dealing with the variable latency. I know people that have huge issues with it though likes makes them sick. Im a sucker for image quality in goggle. And to get that i will deal with the negatives.

Ok I can certainly agree with some of those points. For me personally: -DJI has a hard range limit. WS Avatar doesn't so I think it's better for long range. - Latency, WS Avatar is just as fast as DJI to full frame in 720p100 no advantage to DJI there any more. - Penetration might be an area where DJI is still ahead if unlocked to 1000/1200mW. - Included RX is useful if you've already got the DJI controller. If not ELRS is a better choice. - I think the vista is on the brink of being completely abandoned. We were super lucky to get forwards compatibility with Goggles 2 (at the expense of the V1 goggles) but the longevity of the vista is super questionable given DJIs approach to old products. WS Avatar seems to be keeping backwards compatibility with everything. No one should be buying in to Vista's today and expecting new hardware for the system going forwards. I don't think Caddx will be supporting the Vista going forwards in any way. They can't even buy the VTX any more. They'll sell what they have but I think as a platform it's on the way out.

- 12km of strong and reliable signal is more than enough (for me), its true that WS has no limitations in paper but in the "real world", in a scenario with "signal interferences" I dont think that WS can even get to 12km anyway. - While they might the same in paper, I think DJI performs better (for me). - No reply needed here. - It means that with a Caddx Vista you dont need an additional rx receiver from another company, this specially good in areas were you need strong signal like urban areas. I had to change all of Crossfire receivers because of this serious problem (cellphone towers) and started to rely on the Vistas rx receiver, all my quads works flawlessly now and I dont have to spend more money on receivers or live in fear of failsafe LOL. this is a huge plus for me and WS is just a VTX. - More for less? come on lets be real here boys haha. While Caddx Vista (DJI Air Unit Mini) its on his way out for Caddx, Runcam its still selling the same "DJI Air Unit Mini" product with another name, this product is a mature/finished product that doesnt need more updates and works like a charm. WS in the other hand its an inferior and unfinished product that to this date its has issues (for me). DJI even made it compatible with the new Goggles 2. DJI its a hot and "useful" girlfriend yeahhh :)

@@hknight007 I respect your opinion, but in my own - there is not that much diefference was already at the freshly new start of the WS, while dji is ok, shitty, but finished and polished product. I would say that vista is in any way more stable at that range (up to 12km). My vista feed starts dropping at 4km with well positioned antennas. I must mention that we have crowded 5.8bandwidth in here. Also, at some spots i have drops down to 5mbps at 1km. And same with avatar, no difference. I mean, there may be a differece in digits of how soon it dropped, how far maybe ,or down to 6mpbs or 4 mbps, but there is no practical difference in both systems. This is only my conclusion based on my experience in my country and in my conditions.

Yes, new cameras work with old VTX and old cameras work with new VTX. The main differences are that some of the new cameras have gyros and the new VTX has better packaging and a 32GB storage option.

Yes it's in the camera record setting. Resolution of recording doesn't affect latency only frame rate. So 4k/100 is the same as 1080p/100 for latency. Don't use 120fps with the goggles 2 as it's only 60fps in the goggles!

Hi Linh! I don't have many STL files. But any on thingiverse for the AOS 5, 5.5, 7, UL5, LR5 should fit the AOS UL7. Brain3D has loads of great prints for AOS frames

@@doccock100 i understand, there will be a point of decision when it goes to small 2s 1S whoops. i dont use them anymore, because i switched to naked Action 3 capable 4inch tube frame. still can fly up to 7min surprising speed.

I fly polar too at almost pitch dark night (park/beaches with no lamp post), just light from far away restaurant. but from madstech test imho this walksnail camera will ditch polar far away.

Why knock the company that revolutionized the hd market in fpv? Walksnail is just copying but I get what your saying.

Don't count on it. It wasn't even close before. Plus, the 1080p performance was pretty poor with Avatar, so poor that JB wouldn't even use it. So, that's something that needs to be critiqued.

If you are on the crossroads of choosing your system, i can name a few reasons not to choose dji. (I am fully dji'ed btw)

@@sunnyfpv3694 Yeah, I and many, have been asking DJI to PLEASE get their Vista/Link board down to one small board for micros and whoops. That's the ONLY reason I can see to NOT go with DJI, except if you were a hard core competitive racer. Then, HDZero would be the way, and that's about all it's good for, LOL, unless you enjoy flying freestyle within about 30 meters. Because beyond that, those craZy harsh on your EYE BALLS colored sparklies are way too much for ANY NORMAL PERSON to handle! :( Many think HDZero has the same breakup as analog, but that's simply not true. It's colored, the sparklies are bigger, and they show up SUPER BRIGHT in their great OLED goggles. I just think HDZero's technology is way, WAY behind the other digital systems. It's why Fatshark gave up on it and through it in the trash.

@@KOrnhOliO1 Also, the range. If you want to chill flying an airplane, you wont be limited with ws as with dji. Also, the price - the lowest you can jump into digital now is 300 bucks if you already have an hdmi compatible googles. Also the osd. You cant have it in DJI unless you jailbreak it, and its been 2 years while dji said canvas osd is impossible due to hardware limitation. Also the resolution. Also the averall image quality. Really noticeable if compare side by side fpv v2 vs avatar. Also community requests. I think, walksnail considers the community opinion (Thats why we have everything almost out of box).

@@sunnyfpv3694 For one, DJI can fly plenty far with an airplane...I just don't see the big deal about flying sooooo far away from yourself! Why? Cuz you can?! If DJI has a limit, that's the radius you can fly in, so you can fly that far in every direction....why is that a problem? or issue? I just don't get the up high in the air, long range flying! Boring as fuck to me! No obstacles, going up high in a straight line, if I ever did that, I'd be nervous about losing my quad, but if I wasn't so nervous, I think I'd fall asleep, from sheer boredom! You aren't doing anything with the sticks but flying in a straight line going far away! I just don't get how that can possibly be fun....maybe the anxiety and stress of possibly losing your quad makes it fun for some, but I just don't see that as fun! I thought the Walksnail VRX is $220. Are you not in the USA? Both the V2 and Goggles 2 from DJI have full Betaflight OSD. All VTX's. Have had for quite some time. Who cares how we get it...the instructions are like a Wizard to install a program on your PC. Easy as can be! You're right, the resolution and overall image clarity of DJI is still far superior to Walksnail, especially when you consider the DJI 03 air unit. It will record 4k/120fps on the built in 20gb storage of the on board DVR. All while flying with a crystal clear 1080P resolution in the OLED goggles. With V2 goggles, the resolution is 810P, which is still very clear. DJI can fly much, much farther from the pilot with that crystal clear image clarity even when flying low to the ground. It also breaks up much less that Walksnail does, even at a distance. Walksnail also had a problem with their 1080p, enough where JB doesn't even use 1080p because it has issues, and it's not any clearer. Hopefully they've finally figured it out with this new V2 system, but it's been that way since it came out, and JB says it really hasn't improved. It's really good to see Walksnail getting better and getting closer to what DJI gives pilots. More improvements is great for FPV! I love the size of the VTX's, and wish DJI would come out with a lightweight, one board solution for their FPV community! SERIOUSLY LACKING!

Unfortunately not, some are recorded together but I only have 1 set of avatar goggles so those systems were one after the other.

@@doccock100 indeed it is but then you need a very good picture quality video to match that otherwise it might be useless. It's mainly used to stabilise cinematic material. O3 is almost there but not as good as naked gopro.

Nobody's telling you to spend five hundred dollars and switch 😂 It's simply a video that shows off a new product and compares it to others.

@@agtjackbauer It's directly comparing the prices of the vtx's as if most pilots have the liberty of choosing which vtx they buy. A walksnail pilot cannot just get an o3 cause they need goggles. And same for me as a dji pilot. It does make sense for analogue pilots who haven't bought digital yet as they can make their decision before they've bought into one of the systems.
