The precision and attention to detail is just outstanding...The way they're inspecting each tentacle cup for dirt was just wonderful to see...Then he pulls a sword out...U win
Na mate, to help hang on each suction cup has a ring of little sharp teeth, real alien type shit!!! He’s squashing them out cause ya can’t eatem, squid have them too!
@@jacypr Thank you, but i prefer it my way...lol Nahh really tho, I would think the octopus meat itself would be a little tuff n chewy, not sure what a short tentacle massage would do...but then again my tentacle has never been at the hands of and eager asian masseuse...
I had totally forgot this channel. It just got recommended again and I never get tired of seeing this. I mean I like cooking but have never done or seen anything more unique/ exquisite than this. I always loved seeing the lobsters ones cz I’ve always wanted to taste it. And I’ve been subscribed since 3 years ago and I still haven’t tasted lobster.
Takayoshi Watanabe brings an elevation to the long tradition that is sashimi and Japanese culture, and then raises the bar exponentially. He is genius at, and a credit to, his ancestral heritage.
This was absolute beautiful to watch! The chef prepped everything himself and watching him score that squid was amazing! He kept that thing intact the whole time until it was ready to be cut! And the presentation! This is why I love Japanese cuisine especially sushi!
This was absolutely fantastic! The attention to detail and pride in his craft were a joy to behold. I lived in Japan for 7 years and this video reminded me afresh my love and respect for the dear people of Japan.
The regulations for sushi in Japan make ours for food safety look like a joke. To serve fugu or blowfish takes 2 years to learn how to prepare it safely and then only afterwards are you permitted.
Yea, and look at that chef's power and control when he slice that squid without making it into tiny dice pieces using that big knife (or sword?). Litterally amazing
Fun octopus facts: - Rubbing a large amount of salt before prepping octopus makes it less slimy and completely removes the 'fishy smell' - Messaging the tentacles loosens up the tentacle muscles so it isnt as chewy when you eat it
I am so jealous of whoever is making these videos. To be able to travel and eat the foods they get to eat are a dream of mine! Man does that look delicious! I absolutely love sushi and Sashimi. I could only wish for having access to such fresh fish and seafoods. As a chef all I can get here is frozen fish and seafood with the exception of some shellfish as well as crab when it's in season here in my state.
Wow, these chef's are so clean with the cuts iv never seen someone put so much effort in to making food like this, but where there is pride there is usaly a few years of bad mistakes previous so hats of to them all, I love cooking from fresh ingredients
That was very fun to watch. I don’t eat squid or octopus (don’t enjoy the flavor or the suction cups) but it was interesting to see how they prepared it. I was in awe at the amount of skill and control the gentleman had of what looked like a freaking sword. Obviously a master of his craft.
Púlpo me encanta hasta crudo que bien limpio y qué bien preparado yo no he visto como estos señores limpia el pescado también nunca lo he visto una maravilla pero el pulpo me encanta qué bueno hasta crudo me lo comería ❤️
Hours of dedication passion and work for just a seconds of total satisfaction. Simply amazing.....These kind of chefs deserve each one of the cents you pay for.
The knife skills are amazing to watch and I can’t believe how much urchin roe that chef put on the squid sushi! I started getting hungry when I saw the broth cooking and upon seeing that I’m going to sign off and make myself something to eat!x
Quel chef-d'œuvre que vous avez exécuté vous nous fait rêver avec votre discipline et d'avoir montré à tel point la nourriture est si précieuse, un chef très talentueux. NANMARAN. From Belgium.
Used to eat Octopus until I found out how smart they are. They can recognise faces and have high level problem solving skills. They also have an amazing memory. Hate the thought of eating something that can work out it's going to be eaten.
