I chose this, the Flip 4, over the Charge 4 due to the reviews on sound quality which is my prime reason for buying it. Some reviews related that the bass was muddying up the mids and highs when played at high volume for the Charge 4. My preference is clean and clear sound, not overkill on the low, bass notes that the Flip 4 provides. Someone should review this using Classical music as this would provide the best review for sound quality!
This jbl speaker is good enough ? In 89$ .. i m fan boi of skullcandy btw 😁😁 .. i used headphones of skullcandy.. now wanna try jbl . Bcoz everyone talks abt this flip 4
I got it. The only thing I don't like about the speaker is that it doesn't have a stand or a flat surface to firmly stand on it's own, like that of the JBL Charge series.
Almost 5 years later, I have the flip 4 and I'm really happy to say, I'm happy with it :D yes there's the Flip 5 and 6 but it really doesn't make sense to play over $130 especially when it comes to a mono speaker, yes it might sound a little better but I said little because I've heard the Flip 6 but I don't have the Flip 5 to compare it, but personally, I love the Flip 4 more, but I don't mind the speaker sinking because I'm going to have my own lanyard attached to it :) I'm really happy with my $79 purchase :D
Just ordered a second flip 4 after using it for years. I got the 4 because of AUX connection and pairing it as stereo which does not work with any other flip
I just bought one ..flip 5 and flip 6 is littering the sites and then i saw a flip 4 and i was lucky to be the first to offer...people are throwing themselves after the flip 4..its actually more expensive than flip 5 abd 6 because everyone who knows anything knows they hit it out of the park with the flip 4..
I have had our Flip 4's since 2015, I bought new batteries this last trip to Hawaii, but, they were not needed, I use them a few times a year, but, they are mainly for our yearly Hawaii trips for our times at the beach and in the evening for listening to music at sunset. I love those speakers, I purchased two Charge 4's, but comparing the size, I just brought the Flip 4's and the extra batteries, though, they both were able to last 8 hours for listening to music at the beach for the day. I was pleased I didn't need to change the batteries. They have been a great purchase even being almost 10 years old.
Should I get a jbl flip 3/4 or a jbl clip2???? Is the loudness comparable. I like the size, portability and clip for the clip 2, however I like the sound and loudness of the flip 4. Which should I get???
The Flip 4 is really portable, and you can still use it just like it had a clip. I actually planned to replace the included lead with some shoelace so it's longer, that way I can wrap it anywhere. Or buy a clip for it also.
I got one but at full volume the battery only last 3 hours if that! Kinda disappointed about that seeing how much it is...my backup speaker Anker sound core last well over 12 hours with the sound at max.
if no warranty, open it up and look for a wire that came loose when it impacted with the ground. that's if all attempts to get someone to repair it fail. it may just be a loose wire.
A buddy's did that and he went and bought a new one took it home put the broke one in new box .and kept the new one and went back to the store and returned it said it broke inside .and got his money back with receipt lol
There is this problem with JBL Flip 4, I think that playing via AUX sound is more controlled, clearer bass and less distortion. But it cuts out the sound on quiet passages in the songs, or in the movie, it soo annoying. Does anyone have a solution? It works fine with BlueTooth, but let's say, movies, the sound has a delay via BlueTooth so it's weird.

Best Buy just had the flip 4 on sale for $79.00... for a week or more...now back to 100 bucks today...price for the 4 ..it should be lower price by now, been out for a while. I picked up a flip 3 last weekend from Best Buy for 50 bucks. what a deal. I love it!. it is phenomenal compared to the waterproof other brands I have. Im simple and can't justify 100 for the flip 4...the 3 still is amazing! and i don't have it near water...and it fell and not a scratch. tough little thing...get the 3 for cheaper...its loud enough.... flip 4 comes later
Holley Hawthorn price match is your friend. Go to Best Buy or target and have them price match amazon. It’s almost always 79-85 dollars on amazon. It is a great deal at that price
it's not a great speaker because it has boosted treble, it's not fucking better then the flip 3, it goes lower but harsh in treble. The bass is a bit boring compared to the charge 3
JBL is waste brand. Mivi is 8 times less cheap and better. I bought Flip 4 for Rs. 8,500 and it has 6 big issues: 1. Audio lag when connected to aux. For example if the person says his phone number, you don't hear the first 1 or 2 numbers. This Mivi Roam 2 is best don't have such problem. 2. No Unlimited aux time: When connected to aux, it turns off in an hour. Missed many client calls at work. 3. Too much bass which caused headache. They should give an extra button for bass boost and Balanced mode as there are many people who don't like bass. 4. It's mic is very poor. All the clients complained me that I'm sounding very far. 5. Battery is set to fail in 2 years even after taking care of not discharging it completely nor charging it to full. 6. Lid to locate the charging port and aux cannot be opened by finger or hand. I'm not buying any JBL product nor I recommend anyone. I love Mivi Roam 2. I bought Mivi Roam 2 and it is far better than JBL Flip 4 for my office calls purpose and music.
